Thanks for taking some time to inform other people on self-publishing. I’m busy creating my own first children’s book, so I will watch more videos of you with great interest. Your expertise is very much appreciated. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤗
Finally watched this one (it was in my queue for awhile) and I'm so glad I did. Thanks for the insights. I'm a graphic novelist and was introduced to the traditional process, but I have been thinking that self-publishing may be a better choice, esp in today's world. This has given me more to think on as I work on things. Thanks for sharing it!
I just happened on your video on self Publishing. I love to hear all the success stories in the past who went through this route and then was picked up by traditional publisher. You give so much advice and so much information on your videos. Thank you so much.
Thank you! Your videos are really helpful. I am an artist seeking to become an illustrator and children book author and I appreciate your videos so much! ❤️
Liked and subscribed. Since my toddler was born, my creativity outlets have dwindled. We read to him every night, and I love to draw. I am thinking about taking a stab at trying a story or two. If nothing else, I can read it to my two-year-old. Thanks for all of the advice.
These videos are so informative and so well put together, thank you so much for uploading these videos!. I am looking at self publishing a children's book myself, looking at Amazon kindle at the moment and these videos have been so helpful. Looking forward to your other videos.
Hi Karinah, thanks for the positive comments, much appreciated! Self-publishing can be a great way to go for many new writers and illustrators and I cover all the options (including traditional publishing) on the main course - the Illustrator's course now available, along with a combined option for those who'd like to write AND illustrate. Good luck!
I don’t think there is any way that it could spike from 300/month to 29000/month in one month for no reason. Something happened. Otherwise it would have ramped up-not spiked in one month. There’s no way. Has anyone asked the author?
My best guess is it became a trend among parents because of a social media post somewhere even if it wasn't the author a lot of mommy blogs and the like
Yeah, it's probably the same as anything else that goes viral. In addition, this was way before the KDP market became oversaturated and social media was more beneficial for small creators. So once it went viral, with little competitition, it took off like wildfire. There's no way something like that can happen these days.
I'm so frustrated that Barnes&Nobel and other stores won't let you physically put your book in their stores, even if you publish through them and Ingram Spark.
Thank you Karmur! I’ve been concentrating on finishing the videos for the writing & illustration courses at the moment but will upload more free videos as soon as I get some time. Good luck with your book.
I just watched a couple of videos on your channel. Kudos on being so clear and direct. However, you make it all sound so easy and nice... I've heard stories about independent artists who get their ideas stolen by others with more experience and money to invest... I'm afraid of self-publishing, just to see someone copy my idea and put more money into it to sell it. How do you protect yourself from that?
Christyan I want to say thank you for taking time along with your knowledge that you shared with us all. I am going to give this a go and really believe there will be a world ready to accept my vision. Thank you again! Pache

The book makes kids fall asleep, thats the reason for its success!
😴
Excellent presentation
Great information ! ✨
Thankyou for your informative video. Is it a viable option to self publish a children’s storybook using photographs instead of illustrations?
Is there a way to add a page in the front or back of a book with stickers when self publishing?
