Death magnetic is Metallica's most underrated album. It needs more appreciation and popularity.
Definitely it might be my favourite album
That sad slow part is possibly one of James Hetfield's best riffs.
That's my phone ringer love that as well kinda a spaghetti western metal sound
My favorite part of this instrumental is James Hetfield's solo from 10:28 of this video until 10:59, then Kirk comes in with his own screaming lead.

My favorite MetallicaA instrumental by far. It has tons of variety/transitions. I don't care how legendary people think the old instrumentals are this is way more enjoyable to listen to.
My second favourite Metallica instrumental is "To Live Is To Die". Because James' solo at the breakdown always gives me freaking GOOSEBUMPS

I've been a metallica fan since 1984 and I love death magnetic and hardwired! I would put the hardwired album right up there with master of puppets. Anxiously awaiting what they come up with next!

I've been a METALLICA fan since I was 11. I'm 46. I love music period. If it moves me I'll like it. The solo @ 3:45 reminds me of my dad looking down on me from heaven. Miss you "POPS"
Very underrated album,you shlould check out more of Death Magnetic.I recommend That was just your life ,Judass Kiss,Cyanide and The Day that never come.ohh,and I forgot about Broken Beat and Scared,badass song too
Cyanide might be my favorite song off the album.

Death Magnetic is my favorite Metallica album. This song is my favorite song on this album. To me it looks like a baseline, agony and despair, redemption and a new baseline, what I consider a new peace.
I get chills listening to this song. No words, but there is a message if you listen.

Long time metallica fan here and a lot of us "old school" fans hate on the newer stuff but I love the death magnetic album! The only ones I'm not a big fan of are load and reload but I can appreciate them anyhow and it opened them up to the younger generation and helped them stay relevent. And fast forward to the hardwired album which is probably their best album since master of puppets
This song to me is St Anger (suicide) into Death Magnetic (redemption). A return to form so to speak.

Favorite cookie is macadamia nut. The Day that never comes is my favorite from death magnetic. It reminds me of One in the way the song is arranged. You have to react to it since I know One is one of your favorite songs from Metallica.

Amazing thoughts about the song!! at the end (when Lars is doing different amazing fills to every repetition of the riff) i get the feeling that the redemption is taking place (the guy is free from the suicidal tendencies or something like that) and the self is re-joining creativity and life! jajaja. Check out the extended version! Longer bass intro, both James and Kirk have longer guitar solos and it doesn’t fade out at the end!

You should react to both of the suicide note songs by Pantera, they greatly capture the emotions felt when thinking or committing it especially with the first one being really down and depressing while part two is just adrenaline

If you ever played guitar hero 3, this whole album is purchasable as dlc and it comes with 2 versions of this song. The first one is the one we just watched and the second one is completely the same but the main solo is done by James instead of Kirk. I haven't been able to find that version anywhere except for in the game unfortunately.

I’ve got a gross blue/green mill deck with a couple win cons, a mono-black that has legacy cards in it like diabolic tutor and dark ritual and is zombies and demon summoning theme, but my fave deck combo is red green. Summon my cheap army of ramping greens while using my spare mana to burn every turn. Scored omnath locust of mana and omnath locust of rage along with primordial hydra and 4 different Chandra planes walkers lol. I’ve got a set of white cards saved to my card kingdom shopping list for Christmas haha

10:57 - That switch over from James' solo to Kirks' solo! Smooooooooth!!!! That fade out is NOT pert of the song, dunno what version you played, but it does not fade out on the REAL version!
It fades on the album release, but the Guitar Hero versions have the full track minus fade so you hear the full ending. They also play the full version live on the Fan Can 6 DVD
PS the Guitar Hero tracks have a JH version and a KH version, the solos you hear on the offical track are comps of two longer solos. There’s a JH version where he plays the entire solo, and the KH one where you hear how Kirk started the first half of his solo that you didn’t get to hear 🤘🏼

This album itself is highly underrated!!! One bad assed song after another Cyanide and Unforgiven 3 imo are the weakest on the album…and they’re still good songs!!! They slay anything of the Loads for sure
i was SHOCKED when i heard All Nightmare Long (first song i heard from DM) and i can proudly say that death magnetic is my 3rd fav album. Yes, it is that good, comparable with master of puppets and and justice for all.. though i wish the mixing was done better
