Btw you can take slug skin on your BSB and take offensive mutations on your beastlord and put them in the same unit so he is still hard to hit but now hits back harder
Looked more and... Damn, The Old World is GOOD! I LOVE it. had not this high expectations but.... Oh yes.. It gives me the same feelings I got when i had the brand new 6th Ed book, got WD 250 with Ravening Hordes.. Maybe I said that in the last vid, sorry if so.. But it feels like that level of balance and power.. The 7th Ed Army BNooks, power creep and 8th Ed nonsense is gone.. maybe the odd good thing from there left.. I like the random charge, like THIS. I can live without guessing artillery.. I can live with the magic. This is really good right now!
Great review! Really like the Shaggoth + magic item combo, and as mentioned giving a doombull the berserker sword grants it to his unit so you get +2 attacks for everyone. Downside is you don't get Foe Render if you take an additional hand weapon so there's still a place for great weapons into elites.
ye theres a choice to be made there: personally i tend to favour great weapon ( i mean wounding T4 on 2s not 4s and then the -2 is just so good, especially on 3w models where it takes a good number of wounds to reduce your attacks)
Love these army discussion vids, you and Phil have such great laugh and banter whilst been very engaging! As a fellow Chaos warriors player looking forward to their review! And maybe some pointy ears???
Thanks mate glad you’re enjoying them! I think high elves first (maybe maybe) as I sort of have a thing where cos chaos is my main army I want the discussion to be peerfect (though maybe I should do an army then late year discussion of them(?!)
Any other Brayherd players here try out Armies Project and fall in love with the Preyton? Given the focus on the Old World and Bretonnia's prominence, it's a unit I'd have loved to see come into play. The model is old, but it's one of the most sickhouse looking models FW ever made for the WHFB. GW, if you're reading put Preytons in an ambush driven custom muster list in the Arcane Journal for Beasts.
A huge issue i found in my games is if you have ambushers, they will often not be in range of your general for leadership and in that case, they have to take their primal fury or panic tests on their own low leadership scores and often fail it
Agreed on that, Im not a massive fan of ambushers, I dont know how you'd buff them without being too strong (maybe auto come on on what turn you want) but other than that any solving of the problems would make them auto take
Running a roided out Doombull with 7 Minotaurs today vs Chaos warriors. (with roughly equivalent points in chosen) Expect to either be big fun or get magicked off the board.
Not a bad idea, ill check mierce now! Im going to have a real root into some 3d ranges aswell for something that will fit my Kurgan theme and be a mental combination beast
Berzerker blade does not give Frenzy to the unit it joins. Frenzy only applies its bonus to the wielder, however any unit with one or more frienzied model will have to follow the Frenzy rules regarding Charging.
The chariots are great mate, though theyre infantry is defiantely more towards chaff than monster: tis the way of chaos I suppose, the champions are super hard!

Ooh nice idea! especially with how lords and BSBs tend to rock about together anyway!

Man preach; you can’t say any of this stuff enough! Definitely going to be committing hard to ToW!
It seems we have been spending our time analysing the same thing this evening. Great stuff! Go Beastmen!
Thanks mate! When you get an army worked out do let me know so I can steal some ideas!

Disgusting combo. Berserker blade on a doombull gives frenzy to any unit he joins. Minotaurs have bloodgreed of course.
excellent combo that!
Kind of sucks being frenzied at start of game. I'd rather a shaman with dark magic casting the spell that imparts frenzy and hatred on a unit.
Sadly the FAQ just stopped that. You can still cast battle lust on them tho

With the Beastlord on chariot, you use whichever toughness is higher same with armour save.
Your right! Phil will be really happy for Philgor on chariot!
if u use charriots armor, can you in that case use characters ward and regen?
No, as per faq

GW, if you're reading put Preytons in an ambush driven custom muster list in the Arcane Journal for Beasts.
Oooh some diving in is needed there for me to find out about preytons!
@@BearfootMiniaturesoh man, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.
The totem of rust with a unit of Gors was brutal in my last game. Practically an auto include
How did you run the unit mate (like total size and frontage/other upgrades)
Just got 3 vanguard boxes and some bullgors. Excited to dive in. Not alot info or example lists out there to go off of so viseos like this are dope
Nice man: I hope they serve you well, its a solid core to the list, especially with how good the beasts 5d6 spell is and dragon ogres adding punch

Your beastlord on the tuskgor chariot would still be toughness 5. Page 205, says its against whatever is tougher, the character or chariot.
Ive passed it along to Phil! is a much better unit, I think hed just stated something in the wrong thought process!
@@BearfootMiniatures yeah, i'm looking forward to building an almost entirely chariot army, hahaaha!
@@BearfootMiniatures The Beastlord with Heavy Armor, Slugskin, Charmed Shield, Gnarled Hide, and a Razorgor Chariot is a demolisher tank with hooves.

I’ve been trying for like 3 days to think of something just as funny as your guys comments, will have to admit cracking names for em!
Great video!
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video, but bittersweet, still waiting for my Tomb Kings box and books to come from GW. Grrr.
Hope youve got it by now mate! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Proxy the cockatrice with cockatrice models from another company fella! Mierce do some.

want to join the patreon - where would I find the batrep content?
hey mate: its posted in the discord (however ill start uploading them to patreon as of tonight to make it clearer in the future!
@@BearfootMiniatures nice one
Love your channel - I have started Iron Warriors since I discovered you (along with Legions Imperialis and Beastmen)…
Don’t mean to be that guy but the video title is wrong. Beasts of chaos is the 6th Ed/AoS army name, not ToW. Makes searching harder
No worries: canged the description to suit the ravening hordes book! Thanks!

The Minotaur characters have an ability that says if they get Frenzy, any unit they join also gets it.
Hey mate: ye what @alfindeol said is spot on, it was in specific reference to that instance
😊
Beasts have really trach core units if you dont take Minotaurs or Bestigors from General :(
The chariots are great mate, though theyre infantry is defiantely more towards chaff than monster: tis the way of chaos I suppose, the champions are super hard!
Trash core? When I line a man up to a gor I don't see trash. I see a faster, tougher core unit.
