The best chain of 6s I've ever witnessed was in a game of Bolt Action. My mate rolled 6 MG shots at a sniper team needing 7s to hit (6 followed by a 6). One hit, one wound of a 6, followed by a 6 critical hit (6x6x6x6)! The amount of 6s rolled in that game were hilarious!

So awesome and great to see BFG on your channel. I still play it regularly to this day. In my top 3 game systems of all time. Definitely a few rules wrong but the one I can remember is torpedoes. They only hit the models that the torpedo template makes contact with instead of hitting the entire squadron. If any of the dice miss then the torpedo template continues through and the remaining torpedoes can hit additional targets behind the first. I hope that makes sense. Super fun report though and I defy enjoyed it! Keep them coming!

Heya, cool, and I will be that person: List building: you don't roll leadership for each escort individually. You take them as a squadron and roll one leadership value for the whole escort squadron. If you take the widowmaker upgrade on the Cobra's ALL escorts in the squadron do so. You can't pick one escort to have the upgrade and the rest not.

You don’t need to use the Van Sarr only in this mini campaign. You can use any of the clan gangs (or any gang if the GM is ok with it) and replace their leader with a Spyre. Using the starting points given. So you can have a Goliath gang lead by a Spyre play against the Genestealers for the whole campaign. Also Spyres get two ready markers. Meaning they can activate twice. Each time getting two activations. So you can shoot twice with them in one battle round.

I would love to see Core and Characters both moved to 35%. Also anecdotal evidence. But I haven't played since 5th edition. I wanted to get back into the game and found a local guy running the slow grow league and asked for a demo game. He brought vampire counts screamer list against me in my demo game. GW still has "that guy" all over its games.

I don't understand the mechanics of this game system at all. The largest dark age mech suits on necromunda, the ones you have to be amputated to fit into are no tougher than a goliath juve, like are you going to be able to wound the smaller suits with a flashlight? What a disappointment, palatine enforcers of the 1%.

I like herohammer and I like playing infantry hammer where heroes can only be 25% of the army. Right now the list I'm bringing has two level 4s, and two war bosses on monsters. WeirdNob Battle Mage with Lore Familiar because not using pillar of flame is griefing. WeirdNob Night Goblin Waaaagh caster with Idol of Mork because that item is awesome (reroll 1 dispel per turn, +3 dispel range.) Black Ork Warboss on Wyveryn with ogreblade and talisman of protection. Night Goblin warboss on giant cave squig with Wollopa's, Trousers, enchanted shield and great weapon. Then 87 other models (20 black orcs w raggedy banner, 20 spear goblins, 30 shortbow goblins with spider banner, 10 squig hoppers, 1 boar chariot, 1 BSB, 5 fanatics). Still scared of screams!

The issue with level 4s is fourfold: -Every wizard level is more valuable than the last, while the cost for each wizard level is basically linear. Each +1 to cast and dispel turns an average roll of a 7 into an 8, 9, 10, or 11, each of which would be more difficult than the last to roll on an unmodified 2D6. You're basically buying cumulatively better odds with each +1. Also, since there is no cost to casting spells, each wizard level just gives you another spell to sling for free. EDIT: AND since the costs are linear you might as well go up to a level 4 to have a bigger item budget and more mount options. -Dispel ranges really hurt level 1-2 wizards. -As mentioned in this video, because each +1 is more valuable than the last, there is no way a level 1 or 2 will ever contest a level 4, or be anything other than a waste of points if your opponent has chosen to bring a level 4. -The character point cap. It can't stay at 50% in comped tournaments. I don't know if 25% is the answer but 50% is nonsense.

I agree about the magic phase: lvl 1-2 should get +1 to cast and dispel and lvls 3-4 should get +2, lvl 4 still get more spells so there’s value in upgrading (if it’s not enough add an extra 3 inches to the spell range of lvl 4s)

As a dwarf player I gave up on kings and anvil. I play 2 runesmiths to max spell breaking runes and 3 engineers to support my shooting. It works decently but it doesn’t feel right

I'm the dusty old Skaven player, i learn, but it doesn't really matter how well you know the game or your army, when your army book is the worst GW have ever released 😂 but the rats march on because it's still fun

25% character cap is a great way to turn high level wizards from an unpleasant aspect of the game to a crippling aspect of the game. None of the builds you bring up as initial examples of what you'd do are what it would be in general. It'll be more like a lvl 4 Sorceror Lord on a chariot with a 5+++ and a mook BSB. If you want to cap per-model spend there's a much more direct way of doing that, it's by capping per-model spend.

Invocation can only heal 1 wound on Vargheists (monstrous inf.) and Vargheists do not have swiftstride, just for future reference

Definitely agree that 50% of characters lead to certain metas and the hero-hammer issue. I've played 35% characters & core for a big game which really brought balance. For smaller games, 25% really implies a choice and opportunity cost with your character choices which is good for balance. At the moment, ranked infantry IMO really suffers because of the accessibility of Heavy Cav/monsters & magic that just smashes infantry.

Love hearing people just talking about the game. In my humble opinion I think they should just remove the level 4 upgrade for all wizards. And I also agree with 25% points for characters if they don’t introduce a 1 lord level character limit. I still don’t know what to do about infantry tho.

Ian your microphone is cooked m8 haha! Also, I play with one unit of peg knights and 2 screams max policy for each of my respective armies and they still do well but it just helps me and my opponent have fun games without any feels bad absolutely domination :)
