Definitely the circles... they pull me in and are the first elements to grab my attention. I liked the squares in the 2nd and my perfectionist mind saw those dotted lines as trails pushing those squares into a grid arrangement which I love as much as circles. And what can I say about hearts... they always save us, don't they? Thanks for this exercise and food for thought.

I really love this video for multiple reasons:
1. The practice of turning off the inner critic and to stop over thinking the work is one that really resonates with me as I ALWAYS over think every mark I make (to the point of even preventing me from making them) and my inner critic is viscous!
2. This exercise seems completely doable. It's well structured which deeply appeals to the control freak side of me but also freeing because I don't have to make too many decisions, I just need to DO THE EXERCISE!
3. I love the idea of using these as a warm ups before tackling larger works - BRILLIANT! I've forgotten to do that in my own practice as of late, and I think I will truly benefit from adding this sort of thing back into the beginning of night studio time.

Also, the circle piece is probably my favorite - but that's because I always gravitate towards circles. :)

Hi Kim! I would say that the semi- circle page was my least favorite while the other two tie as favorites. I like them really well! I also like your videos very much. Thank you for trying to help me curb the inner critic (which is pretty much paralyzing). It really is helpful to allow myself warm-up time or play time or just relax and see what happens time! So, thanks for trying to help me not trip all over myself and to enjoy the journey!

Thanks very much for this Kim. Looks easy and I will have a go at it. So much I want to do and so little time! I like the round one on the far left best but I do go for all your round imagery anyway. Out of the other two I like the heart semi circles then the squares. I love the colours you used too. I have Americana craft paint and I think they dry with a matte finish, I am not sure as I have only just bought them, so I can have a good try. Your speed is ok for me. I can slow you down if I need to see something a bit slower. Hugs xxx

hi Kim. The circles are definitely my favorite - I also tend to use them a lot. I still can't get over how easy doodling comes to you and how you know precisely which mark to make where. You can make the dullest page POP with energy. I loved this exercise... maybe you can make your video's just a little bit slower. Thanks for great and entertaining videos.

I'm seeing this pretty late in your cycle of postings, but I enjoy just randomly choosing various projects you've posted and end up liking ALL of them...LOL!! You generate great ideas and I love your use of Gelli prints as well as all the mixed media...Thanks for jump starting some project ideas the next time I teach a Gelli class...
