How to get the "Arise" GUITAR TONE - Max Cavalera & Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Max Cavalera and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) on the "Arise" album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
. B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe JR. V guitar with original Floyd Rose tremolo and active EMG pickups
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface
. M-Audio monitors
. Reaper digital audio workstation
. iMac with Sierra OS

@@diegolorenzen2003 Mesa is really mid-focused, you can get powerful mids from it but in 80's bands used to scoop them out

And justice for all used the same amp as the arise
I though the part at the start was just the album, maybe a guitar sección i didnt remember but dang that tone is spot on

This is amazing. I have been following your page for years with guitars and now I am downloading your tones to bias fx 2. However I am finding that your tones sound nothing like they do on this video when playing out of bias fx. Is there another step I need to do here? Great job btw man. You have guided me well for years with guitar choices I have a lot of guitars you have reccomended
You're welcome. Regarding the issues you're having with the preset, are you referring to live playing or recording? If it's recording, you have to record the same guitar part four times (copying and pasting the same track won't make any difference - watch my black album tone video for a full explanation). If it's live playing, I'd guess the issue might be your guitar. My ESP M-II, for example, doesn't sound that great with the Bias presets. But things should still sound pretty close in general. If your sound is a complete departure, then I can't tell what the issue is.
@@dmometalguitar clearly the Amp setting you show in your video are very misleading to people, and i dont know why people have a problem showing or telling people to help them find the right settings...and its weird because your guitar tone is right but what you are showing is wrong. i just dont understand why no one on UA-cam wants to show Amp settings! its just 4 knobs to worry about, and with Thrash pre gain is ALWAYS on full.......all im saying is just dont mislead people.

Wow!! New suscriber here! One question...do you have any phase issues when panning all those guitars?? When I pan hard left and hard right and I turn the mix to mono the guitars have an incredible volume loss😭😭

What amp sepultura uses?
for some reason when i use the tone it sounds bad
Just have to record it to cassette then dub that to another cassette and there you have what I listened to.
and even then, it still slaps!
Sepultura Amp settings are bass at 3 o clock mids at 9 o clock and treb at 3 o clock.........i dont know why no one ever tells this when its just 4 knobs..............\\m//
