I think Andreas doesn't have a signature guitar cause he doesn't want to.. Jackson wouldn't pay that much and he wants to keep all his guitars.. He uses a lot of different brands.. Fender, Jackson, SEIZI (Brazilian guitar).

They wouldn't sell that well, shame because Sepultura is big but not as big as some of the other artists with signature Jacksons (Scott Ian, Dave Ellefson, Corey Bealieu, Mark Morton). IMO now that Phil Demmel isn't active with Machine Head anymore they could take that slot and put an Andreas model in there.

Great interview with man himself Andreas Kissinger. His tone and playing is phenomenal. Sounds as if there is 3 guitarist playing when ever he launched into a riff. I'd go as far as to say he has easily the one of the top 5 guitar tones in Heavy Metal history. Especially in regards to the era Sepultura came out of being late 80s Thrash Metal.
Andreas is amazing guitar player and great composer!! Andreas and Jackson needs a masterpiece that represent this relashionship!! Signature edition for Andreas!!

He actually turned it down. He wanted to not put out a signature model because it woule be to expensive for people to buy. So there you have it. I would do the same. Music is not for making money and selling out,it providing people a chose for escape.
He was never really a gear guy. He was always like, "give me whatever, I'll make it work."

I do the same, coincidentally with jackson's guitars, a pair of emg in one of them and seymour on the other, i'm fine with this tuning but its the limit, if i needed to down up even more i definitely would go 7 strings
brutaltxdm i think the issue would be in the scale length and string gauge and not in the number of strings..correct me if im wrong..

Sepultura played the Auckland Town Hall in 1994 with Sacred Reich and Raw Meat from the Balcony.Andreas obviously has the All Blacks Steinlager jersey from that year.
1994 was the first year the All Blacks put the Steinlager logo on their jerseys.It was an epic gig indeed !!

I met Andreas at a Sepultura show in 1993 and spoke a few sentences to him...he looked befuddled, obviously not understanding a word I said. Then he grabbed my pack of cigs, signed it with a marker, then went upon his way. To hear his skill at speaking English now is quite impressive to me.

Why some says it's uncomfortable to play the rhoads sitting down? I have no problem with it in sitting position.. In fact the rhoads v is my most comfortable guitar to play sit and stand.. The strat and lp shape my most hated while sitting down..

I'm more of a Ibanez and Fender person. Don't really care for Jackson's neck and fretboards but Andreas seems to play them good which is fine in my book.

SorryI meant about the old Viper necks like on my SV470s and an old CN200. Mostly Ibanez us a Wizard II necks which a lot like Jacksons.

The Sepultura-sticker is right where the selector switch would be so my guess is that the wiring just goes to the bridge pickup and the Duncans are just there for cosmetics.

Well if you bothered yourself to look at the credits on sepultura’s albums you would know why.
Schizophrenia both max and andreas wrote the lyrics together (50/50) for all the songs while the music was credited to all the members max,paulo,igor and andreas.
Beneath the remains : same story
Arise : This is a little different in that rather working together on the same songs they both wrote their own. On this album max wrote lyrics for 4 of the 9 songs while andreas wrote them for the rest. Andreas contributed more lyrically then max did. Music is credited again to all members of sepultura. So andreas actually contributed more in this instance.
Chaos ad: on this album lyrically andreas wrote 2 songs while max wrote the other 7 original songs. Again same as before music is credited to all members of sepultura.
Roots: this album dusted and jasco were written (music and lyrics) solely by andreas. With andreas writing some of the lyrics for breed apart. Other then that max wrote the lyrics for the rest of the songs barring some exception for guest spots. Johnathen davis of korn wrote the song lookaway. Other then those two exceptions all sepultura members are credited for writing the music.
P.s on morbid visions all credits are split so paulo helped write a quarter of that apparently. With their first album paulo and max are the only credits. I
Andreas kisser has been one of the main songwriters from sepultura having credits on every song they have made since when he joined. That’s why he can still call the band sepultura he legally owns the name as does paulo. Fortunately bands are not owned by who ever you happen to like. It boggles my mind why 22 years later people still take the time out of their day (mustn’t have much to do...) to comment things like “this is a cover band” “cavalera brothers only sepultura hurr durr” because apparently in their minds they did everything in the band. Well I hate to break to you they didn’t even when they started they didn’t. In all their discography I have yet to find any song solely credited to max or igor.
So get over it, paulo and andreas have contributed the same (if not more at times) then max and igor ever did. I Thats not an opinion that is fact that can be backed up.
That’s why when max left sepultura and he couldn’t take name. This is why the likes of dave mustaine can kick out alot of members. Dave unlike max is the sole writer for megadeth, peace sells was entirely written by him.

If Ian hill where to quit judas priest will everyone who complains about how andreas and paulo still use the name sepultura stick to their principal and brigade any modern priest show/promotion with “how can halford even still use the priest name he should change it?”. Yeah I doubt so because this isn’t people having integrity/principals. People are effectively doing this arbitrarily based whether they like the music or not. Nobody cares that gun and roses is still called as such despite the fact the guy who contributed the word gun to the name left to be replaced by slash...
He’s an average anyway…. He’s only talented in stealing bands from it’s founders
