    This man is the definition of no talk but just work. No matter what the roles gaved to him, he delivered without complaints. The most well.disciplined player we saw in the game. Even he became off.the bench he contributes a lot for the betterment of the team. We rarely see this kind of player in this modern nba

    that 98 team with Kidd, KJ, Nash, Chapman, McDyess, Cliff Robinson played a really solid Spurs team with rookie Duncan and Robinson, shows how loaded the west and league was at that point

      That 97-98 team is one of my favorite teams of all time. I was so disappointed when he signed back with Denver during the lockout shorten season.

    Antonio McDyess was one of my favorite players of the 90s. That free agency story at the Avalanche game was pretty wild.

    Erick Dampier was understated through his career and deserves some recognition in a video at some point. Great rebounder in college and the NBA.

    Dyess was a high flying beast on both ends of the ball. The injury slowed him down, but reshaped his game to be a top notch goon and role player.

      Yeah his hips and power were crazy! When Blake Griffin was dominating college dunking, pre NBA, Antonio was the guy he was being compared to the most.

    One of my Favorite Denver Nuggets players when they had dark days. If knee problems he would be one of the best

    McDyess before injuries was like a combination of Shawn Kemp and Amare. He was explosive like Amare, but was a better defender and shot blocker, and was a nasty dunker like Shawn Kemp. I was glad that he rejuvenated himself with the Pistons and I wish he would have won a ring in 2005.

    He was pure class.After his injury he basically turned into Charles Oakley.I remember Knicks fans were so hyped when we got him thinking he’d be dropping 20/10 again.He still had a great career and deserved a ring.

    interesting connection as McDyess and Nash would leave the Suns in 98, and in the years ahead would trade Kidd for Marbury and then trade Marbury for McDyess's expiring contract and use that freed up money to sign Nash

    As a Nuggets fan, I'm sorry the franchise didn't give him the support he needed. Those were dark years, but Dyess showed up every night. He deserved better and I'm glad he got some shine in Detroit and San Antonio later in his career.

      @@Doknot-tb9ey Agreed. That shows how important ownership is. The late 90s Nuggets were owned by a media corporation who let Mutumbo leave for nothing in return. Stanley Kroenke bought them in 2k. Some think last year's championship was a miracle.The real miracle was that the Nuggets stayed in Denver during those dark years.

    My 2nd favorite player behind Kemp growing up. Despite the injuries he kept at it and came close to winning a chip. I liked his explosiveness when he was young but he was always humble and had that "hard hat/lunch box" work ethic with his rebounding and defense. Too bad injuries slowed him down in his prime.

      Should have a gotten a ring 💍 but Rasheed blew it by not picking up Robert Horry when he passed the ball in bounds who got the ball back in hit the shot to send the game to overtime and tied the series instead of going up 3 games to 1 against the Spurs

    he was the illest that year in phx, we witnessed greatness. Total shame he was manipulated into not staying in phx to build something special. Such is our luck as suns fans, usually getting the short end of it all. Not that the league is fixed or anything or that betting officials who weren't "gambling" stold a few rings from phx... certainly a far contest. But that year with JkiDD and Dyess was super special, as a suns fan I appreciate every ounce of hustle from him and all payers....

    Mcdyss was great on the nuggets when I lived in Denver. I remember going to autograph day for the nuggets. I saw the line was super long for mcdyss, so I went and got an autograph from brant stith instead. Seemed like mcdice was the only bright spot on those nuggests teams

    Denver should have kept dyess in 09 for bodies to throw in vs bynum, gasol and odom and the lakers. he was still starter material. it would be great if he ended his career in denver with melo and billups.
