Lamar Odom was one of the most enigmatic, frustrating players I've ever seen. He had all the physical tools and ability to be a perennial all-star. This guy on any given night could go out and give you 25-10 and 5, and then the very next game, it was as if he wasn't even on the floor. Once Pau came to the team, I think Lamar eased into his ideal role. He wasn't a "Scottie Pippen" to Kobe's "MJ", he was more of a 3rd wheel type guy, and for the most part, he was really good and most valuable in that role.
I would say both. Odom definitely did the little thing to raise a teams ceiling. On the other hand, he was a talented 6'10 guy who moved like a guard. He definitely could have been a multiple time all star but it seems he didn't have the personality or mentality to really do that. Still a very successful career and hope the best for him in his life after basketball.
Lamar’s prime was his rookie year. He never improved after being drafted. 17-8-4 He started 70 Games and shot 13 FGA PG. It’s right in line with the best season of his career and his career averages. Nothing wrong with 17-8-4 just if a rookie does that you would expect an all star all nba type player in his prime. But that pretty much was his prime.
Oh my god! He’s back! I hope you had a great trip my man! But those of us that are stuck at home with different responsibilities then yourself, are happy happy HAPPY to see you back!!

He just didn't have the personality to be a superstar. His turbulent life and the personality it forged made him susceptible to drug abuse, but the biggest thing is that Lamar preferred setting up other people rather than shouldering the scoring load. He wanted to be among his brothers, not above them. Absent the drugs he almost certainly has a much longer decline phase but I don't thing it was the drugs that kept him from a higher peak. It was humility, vulnerability, and his endless search for acceptance and camaraderie.
I always thought Lamar Odom and Elton Brand could have been a good duo on the Clippers now you're back Elton Brand Zach Randolph Chris Webber Chris Mullin Wally Szczerbiak are good players to cover
David Robinson Tony Parker Paul pierce Bill Walton(rip) Jerry west(rip) John Stockton Mutombo This should keep u busy for ah min…Keep up the good work man 😂
He was a Scottie Pippen type only difference is Scottie couldn’t put the ball in the hoop the way he could. Prime LO would easily average 25-12 in this NBA
Odom had Hall of Fame talent! He was 6'10, could handle the ball better than most guards, and could pass and rebound. He could shoot the mid range and make an occasional three. He was a bad free throw shooter and never really improved in the NBA. He didn't work hard to get better after he entered the NBA.
I'm a heat fan, so he'll definitely get a video. I'm just holding off a little longer in the very slim chance he plays in any other professional league since he's still just 35. I just want to make sure that every player I do is completely done with their playing career, so the video will still hold up years from when I upload it
@@ForgottenPlayerProfiles Michael Beasley is my former teammate at k-state back 07-08. We was very very close when he went to the NBA. He changed after 2018-2019 when he got traded to the clippers and they cut him. He not playing in anymore leagues. He coaching now. Ppl needs to know or remember how great he was.
i had no idea Lamar Odom played basketball! i just thought he was one of the Kardashians. But i do know what it's like to have a dad addicted to heroin 😔
Lil secret. In 2k if ya start in Kobe era, Odom is a great filler off the bench or even starting for a few years. Before you fill yer team out, then, off bench fits nicely for decent $$. Lol
Oh shit, Tyson Wheeler. Haven't heard that name in forever. RI was legit for a little bit there, fun teams too. Wish Odom had gotten to play with Wheeler and Mobley cause that woulda been crazy
Odom should’ve been in the convo with Pippen and Grant Hill. His skill set was absolutely insane
Odom had a Great Carrer did yall even watch him Lamar Odom is a cheat code in 2k9
I used to be a huge Lakers fan back in the day. The 2010 title is NOT won without Lamar Odom. Game 6 in particular. 💯
Hessssss back!!!!. Welcome back bro. You were truly missed. I had hernia surgery the other day so i need new material to watch while i recover
Wishing you a quick recovery 🙏
@@ForgottenPlayerProfiles 6 to 8 weeks😣😣😣. Thank you
I have had 3 hernia surgeries in my lifetime man. They are no joke. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Very fortunate to see him play in his prime. Hope Gen Z will find this video and will know about Lamar Odom

We need an Andrei Kirilenko video!! Easily one of the most underrated players ever
Lamar Odom was underachiever. He was a good player during his time in the league.🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

Lamar Odom’s nickname was The Goods, not the Package lmfao
It was both
Most underrated player… clippers and Miami Odom is nutso
good onee...was waiting on this one. I feel he was underrated. He was nicee and was the perfect fit for that late 2000s Lakers team
If he didn't hook up with Khloe Kardashian his life would've been much better both on and off the court.
He had multiple drug suspensions pre-kardashian.
you always post when i go on my saturday lunch breaks, love these brodie❤️
He should’ve averaged
26pts
13rebs
7assts
In his sleep, he could do everything shoot rebound defend play ally five positions…..
Oh my god! He’s back!
I hope you had a great trip my man! But those of us that are stuck at home with different responsibilities then yourself, are happy happy HAPPY to see you back!!
He literally was one of the 1st stretch 4’s him and Antoine Walker come to mind , bro was getting triple dubs and 15+ reb games he was nice af 🔥🔥🔥

Damn, I really have missed a lot of these profiles. Have to check em all out!
Thank you for coming back. I missed the uploads. Can you do Rick Mahorn, please?
Thank you bro!! Odom was the real deal on the lakers a guy that could score the ball and a two time champ as well from New York too!!
The Goods! We need a Josh Smith and Rudy Gay vid
Came back with a banger of a video hope all is well
Welcome back!
St. Thomas Aquinas was located in New Britain, CT. Legendary Program as the “Saints” had some great players come out of that program!
This is who Ben Simmons should aspire to play like.
Who???

36% 3pt as a rookie…don’t disrespect Lamar
Great video, some other players to do a video on would be Shane Battier, and Andrei Kirilenko
I remember that heat squad in nba live man those were the days. L.O my fave lefty. Pause
Nice ‼️ you should do smush Parker next
Welcome back
Odom would excel in today's NBA.

Nonetheless, love the video
That Odom pack 🔥🔥
WELCOME BACK WELCOME BACK WELCOME BAAAACCKKK (mase song)
Put odom in the league now he'll be a top 10 player. Might even be playing pg
Do Marc Gasol next
Can you do Dennis Scott?
Long over due!!!!
One od my favorite players. KD without the 3 point shooting touch
It’s like Manu, good enough to be a good starter but unstoppable against bench players.
Yo….do profiles on Kendall Gill, Dell Curry, Tyrone Hill, Charles Oakley, Danny Ainge, Cedric Ceballos….some of those guys Please 🙏🏾
David Robinson
Tony Parker

Do a video on George Lynch
He was both at different points throughout his career.
He couldve been one of the GOATS. Literally he had that much game & talent. Drugs are undefeated. It destroyed his career and almost took his life.

37:40 politics, because after they allow super teams to be assembled throughout the league and then it has been a slow downward spiral for nba ratings
