I am so thankful for the person that directed me to your channel. I have watched your videos this morning for hours. My situation is, my mother passed away in June, and left me everything, and now I'm paying on two storage units trying to go through things as I can. I'm not a person who is overly attached to colllections, like she had my grandmother's fairy lamp collection. I have my OWN collections so I'm not saving alot of things. I am responsible for paying the bills on her house until it sells, and I'm a single mom, SO.....I am overwhelmed. Mom collected lots of mass produced little things , salt and pepper shakers ets, like 300 of them, Avon bottles, etc. Every now and then I'll find something of more value. I've tried selling things myself on Ebay and Marketplace and it works, but I don't have time to sit and take pictures and list 100 things a day, and the enormesy of the STUFF, it just makes me feel smothered. If I could just go out and thrift shop and go to sales, and find treasures and sell them, that would be fun, but this....sigh.
Dr. Lori, you are so well educated on all decor. I appreciate the knowledge you gave us on the pewter pieces and how there value will go up in 2026. Thank you, and I look forward to your next video!
Have been to that thrift shop. I also have a repro Williamsburg pewter creamer. I remember your video when you evaluated Lone Fox's light fixtures. The Murano glass one was particularly memorable. I have a pillow with an antique petit point insert. Features an 18th century style swain, down on one knee, proposing to his shyly smiling sweetheart.
What a fantastic video! 🥰 TYVM Dr. Lori! I am definitely making mental notes! About this what to sell in '26 especially! And! I love fun pillows too! Those seaside ones are gorgeous! Please stay safe and well in your travels! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏
I used to live in Barnstable. I was thinking about Barnstable yesterday because now I live in Ohio and we don’t have beaches here. Well, not pretty beaches.
I enjoy watching your videos, I could listen to you all day long! I was just watching Lone Fox's new video when I got notification that you had a new video. I have viewed the video that you referenced, small world!
Dr Lori I watch your videos I love them I thrift shop every day you and me see eye to eye! One unsolicited suggestion... I wear those same gloves working day to day as a nursing assistant... Dr Lori you should look into a pair of white linen type gloves the types that people would use opening a 2 million dollar Ferraris hood or handling an original Van Gogh. I just think it would be a cute style and vibe for you than the plastic surgical gloves... Just a thought love you❤
I have a eight piece set of Lennox bone China that was my grandmothers. My sister and I got to pick out our China patterns that she had when we were seven when she passed away I received the Lennox. It’s beautiful, small flower pattern around the rim with gilding very thin bone China I absolutely love it, but never use it.
I was researching pewter and came across your UA-cam. LOVED IT! I have quite a collection of lovely pewter pieces, including plates, cups, casserole dishes, pitchers. Always been a favorite. Now I know I am saving them for 2026! Haha. Thrifting is a marvelous enterprise! Thanks.
Hi Dr Lori. I have that exact Lenox Chandelier and two matching sconces. I bought them on eBay auction about 3 years ago for $350. They were local pick up in NY and it was the hight of the virus. I was the only bidder. They are lovely and the chandelier at $100 is a steal! You're spot on with a value of $750. I always appreciate your videos. Thank you!
If that pewter set didn't sell, I want it. :) Question: Is there a difference between a "PH 1" mark, and a "PH1 N" mark on the bottom of the coffee pot, please? Does the "N" mean "New" - like it's a second run or something, or "Natural" - like the wood handle is natural wood?
I couldn’t tell what material was between the dishes, I use coffee filters between my china plates is that okay? Always like your videos I learn so much. Thanks ❤
I bought a pink carnival glass basket for my sister for her birthday I have never again come across another piece of pink carnival glass in the same color they are very orange pink or a dull pink does carnival glass not always match?
Dr. Lori - When you do suppose that cut crystal pieces will come back in fashion again? No one is going to be making this again, but people just don't seem to get it. Or I don't! :)

I'm about 7 months late, but when you said, "This chandelier might not be for you, but it's for somebody." .... Me! Me Lori. 😭😭😭 And for $100....... 😭😭😭
@@DrLoriV You also hit the nail on the head with the American/colonial revival; I'm actually redecorating my mother's home in essentially this style (hence the American-made Lenox chandelier). I'll take it as a compliment I'm accidently ahead of the curve. ☺️
