- Watch me, Ph.D. Antiques Appraiser Dr. Lori, behind the scenes at a thrift shop on Cape Cod, MA as I rummage through a donation box that just came into the shop. See the items I found before the donated pieces are placed on the shelves for sale. Milk #glass, Copeland Spode, unmarked Limoges and Bavarian ceramics are just some of the unearthed treasures I find.
See the transferware, Royal Winton and a 19th century oil lamp from the donation. I show you how to find the mark on the lamp too! You need this information when #shopping for treasure! Also, don't miss me reveal the marks on ceramic items and pieces gilded with gold. All these treasures were uncovered from a donation to a thrift #shop. Plus, I show you what you should not use when storing or shipping items.

Fascinating china pieces. Only when I volunteered at the thrift store, I play Frisbee with most of those 😁. But I didn't know Dr Lori back then!
That free cabinet! Wish I lived closer, that would be an awesome vanity for a bathroom renovation.

I agree, love Dr. Lori
Wow, would be happy to score just one of those plates! Rare happening in our area, no such stores with that kind of quality second hand! Love your videos...the finds and the stories that provide great information.
They were purchased by someone shortly after I finished the video. People follow me and buy what I discuss on the video tape.

You are so welcome!
Hello! I love the plates. I have several sets of antique china. My mother in laws her mothers china my grandmother’s china and our everyday dishes are Mikasa French Country. Plus our wedding settings are Mikasa stoneware French Country. We’ve been married 30 years so our wedding dishes are vintage. We try to switch out and use as much as we can as it’s fun. We also inherited the silver and my husband polishes annually. Dr. Lori, we had you do a zoom call for appraisals and we learned that we had some rare, valuable paintings. I learn so much from you. You are a rockstar 🤩💫
China is a super collectible.
Thank you for the information. I am really learning from your videos. Have a terrific week.
So glad!
TYVM ❤❤
Cape Cod is along way away from Cali, thank you Dr. Lori…
If you haven't been there, it's worth the trip.
As always I never fail to learn something from watching your videos. I would love to know what you personally collect. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us.
Share the channel with your friends.
A stampede must have hit the thrift store after this video aired. Free to good home...🎉
Shake those lids I agree.😊 Due to your advice I open my china cabinet to prevent crazing on my treasures.
That's right!
I had several of the old hurricane lamp handed down. My husband put the, in the back laundry room and hurricane knocked them to the floor and all but 2 broke in pieces. I cried that he put them out there.
Sad.
@DR Lori, thank you for another fun video!~
I'd love it if you would look at more 2-D art in these episodes.
Noted!
@@DrLoriV Thank you! I look forward to the newest episode!~

Hi i think this is the first time i heard you get excited about finding a piece. Do more fun unboxing!
This was fun!
Did you say Barnstable? Also if not newspaper, what should I wrap for storage...I thought bubble wrap was no good
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Check my website for the next date.
Does it devalue the hurricane lamp to electrify it?

I think I found a Murano glass but can not for the life of me find anything about it online. Google search won't find anything for me. It doesn't look like any sort of animal or maybe a fish?
I can help. Need to see it. Check out my website for options.
Hi Dr Lori catching you 4 hrs late 😢 are you on Cape Cod now if you r I'm in Yarmouth if you want a nice Italian meal come see me
I hope to be there later this summer again.
Why do you need to shake the top?
