Thank-You Dr. Lori for these "Thrift with me" videos! I enjoy learning from you! There are many thrifting videos out there, but to be able to learn from a professional for free is invaluable!
0:52 Thanks for these tips. Identifying glassware is so tricky. 2:24 I would’ve never guessed they’d resell for so much. 4:08 omg 😮the blue is pretty but resell value blows my mind 6:15 I have a tea cup like that 😊 11:46 my grandmother had a chair like that she used at a vanity
I have 3-4 of those Blue Pyrex pie plates I use every Thanksgiving & Christmas... now I'm kinda cringing thinking about how expensive they are, but I bought them yrs ago at Walmart for maybe $10/2~ LOL!
That my Goodwill store! We brought a lot of things from my Mom’s house there when she died. I’m bringing things of my own there fairly often these days. I’m not moving but clearing out a lot that I just don’t need. And, of course, I shop there. I always find a cookbook or two. I enjoy them for awhile then donate them back and get a few more. I’ve also bought some clothing there. I’ve lost 145 lbs. and it was nice to be able to find something I liked whatever size I was. I also appreciate that It’s kept up really well. I’ve always found it to be clean and well organized.
The things U found would make someone a good day's find! Liked seeing the chairs alot :) The dating of them + construction details especially:) thx, Ciao
Thank you Dr Lori 😬 I have seen the market on the Starbucks cups and I agree 100%. I’m glad you mentioned these cups as a lot of people would be surprised by that piece of information. Thanks again 👏🏼 😊
We just remodeled our kitchen of our 1850's 2 story brick home. Have white distressed farmers style custom made cabinets. Painted the walls blue. I've collected lots of cobalt blue antique glass. Love it!
Thank you, Dr. Lori. I enjoy your videos. I was born and raised in Connecticut and have lived on Cape Cod for many years. I have been in a lot of the same stores that you visit. All of these things interest me. I have learned a lot from your content. Keep sharing!
I am 74 and married 52 years. So many things I gave away (the cane ladder back chairs, the cat’s meow pieces) show up now as desirable. Don’t tell my husband. He is forever telling me to not declutter everything. Who knew being neat could be so expensive?
Hahaha! True! I find myself trying to not hoard everything that I buy now, with the hopes that it will be desirable and valuable years later. Who could ever know? 😂

Incredible amount of useful information in all your videos! Thank you for all the help as I try to identify, value and sell my vintage collections. I wouldn't have the confidence I have now without your help, Dr. Lori. Makes all the difference in the world when deciding on what to buy and sell. You'd be proud to know I lost my fear of negotiating, too. I surprised myself when I asked if a necklace would be 50% off like the others on sale. You made a big difference in how I manage my business.
At Savers the other day I found a piece of Avons Cape Cod Collection, the creamer. I almost purchased it but decided since I know longer have the set to leave it for someone who does.
I love your videos Dr Lori! I have 2 clear Pyrex pie plates that were my mom’s that I use all the time. I’ve never seen a blue one! I will definitely look for those!
Thank you so much for your videos I'm wondering could you also tell what you are wearing what purses you wear you use the jewelry you're wearing I'm curious?
Wedding or wedding shower coming up? Check out your local Goodwill/thrift stores for home goods- (dishes, glassware, cookware, decorative items, silverware, baskets, vases, art work and more- save a fortune, recycle, and enjoy a blast from our past.❤
Ive made some good money reselling corelle. I bypass the popular patterns like snowflake and butterfly. I had those polka dot ones. Sold for around $25 for 4 pieces. Paid $.75 ea.
Thank you for recognizing reproduction depression glass. There is a thrifter in Las Vegas who doesn’t seem to know the difference between authentic and reproduction. I grew up using the stuff and I know the difference.
There are MANY reproductions out there. It's important to know the background of the people you are following online who are giving out information nowadays. It seems easy to just take someone's word as accurate, but the information online is getting more and more blurry especially with AI and all.

About pyrex dishes - it amazes me how much it goes for in the US. You can pick up vintage pyrex in most UK charity shops for not very much.
Different markets are amazing. You are right about that. My favorite is Murano glass in Italy. Bargains!
Great information thank you!!!

Goodness! Those prices are not seen anywhere in my area of metro ATL. We have much higher prices on everything.
I have a blue pie dish like that but it's not Pyrex it's anchor ovenware is that better???????
Many factors affect value. Need to see your piece. Check out my website for options
Thank you Dr Lori I must be learning because I could tell right away even on video that the yellow depression glass is a reproduction
Wow where do you get those appraisal prices??? You should buy everything in the store , sell it and make a bundle. New basket lol
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
Where would you resell the items you say are worth a lot more to get the prices mentioned?
Have you watched my videos on reselling? I also offer classes on reselling.
How do you get the sticker off of the cat's meow without ruining it?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Check my website for the next date.
How can you tell if the Nantucket basket was real or made in China? I have seen that they are made in China quite often.
You can show me your basket. I can help. See my website for options.
Does anyone use tea cups and saucers any more? So tired of most dishes.
I’ve never seen a Brody vase sell for more than $10 🤷♀️
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
Milk glass is always desirable?? Most thtift stores have a hard time even giving it away. Maybe on the East Coast it's more desirable.
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
How can you tell the difference between 1970 & 1930 Depression Glass?
