A23 is closed in both directions near Handcross Hill following a collision involving a HGV

A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, "We currently have the A23 closed in both directions near Handcross due to a road traffic collision involving an HGV. The northbound side is closed due to a lamppost that was struck and could potentially fall across the opposite carriageway. Highways and the Roads Policing Unit are at the scene dealing with the incident."
