2:15 I don't think that cyclist did move out that far, just another car was coming the other way and you had to bail, the cyclist even signalled his intent to go left 😂
What I noticed is the keep left arrow in the middle of the road for oncoming traffic. Odd placement so close to the T Junction. That would point to that junction having a lot of corner-cutters coming from the left or/and wide-swingers coming from the right. Either way cyclist may have local knowledge and doesn't need an overtaker alongside.
Cyclist shouldn't of had to "block" you J, it was a stupid attempt at an overtake, even if the cyclist hadn't moved 1 foot out you shouldn't of attempted it. Downhill into a junction with stopped vehicles with a car coming the other way, risky manoeuvre for no gain.

J cyclist was fine you were the plonker attempting that overtake, he NEVER moved to the centre of the road and when he shoulder checked he realised you were never going to give him 1.5 metres , just have more consideration of other road users in future
For Nick D's clip, I appreciate that the reversing car was absolutely at fault for that careless reverse. With that being said, it's disappointing how few people have any idea about people looking to parallel park, and just blindly drive right up behind people who have clearly indicated that they intend to do so. I have to parallel park on my road where I live, and the amount of times I've had to abandon doing so is insane, purely because people don't think to stop until they are a few inches behind you.
I have to do the same .. but I don't abandon it .. i sit there until the "Nick D"'s of this world either go around me or reverse back and give me space ... and besides .. they shouldn't be stopping that close to my bumper anyway ...
@@kittyhawk9707 Yeah that's fair, a few times I do wait and they move, but often I find it's easier to move on to save wasting everyone else's time (and my own as well).
easy enough to spot but there may have been some confusion as to where the car was going. it looked like he could have been indicating to take the left turn after the parked cars. the way to ensure that nobody closes down the space is to indicate and pull up next to the space, not in front, wait until traffic behind stops and then pull forward and manoeuvre into the space.
"Cyclist deliberately swerves" is an interesting way to say you attempted a dangerous overtake on a cyclist whose positioning was fine...whilst approaching a junction.

@@alanmtbuk: "There was plenty of time and room for the saab to slow down and let the cammer finish" The cammer - and how many cars after him, too? I've been in that exact situation many times: the first one goes into the opposite lane, and dozens of cars are following suit - everybody thinking "When the oncoming traffic waits for the first one, he'll have to wait for all the following, too." I would have done the same as the Saab driver: not to make them reverse the whole length of the obstacle (which wouldn't work anyway, because there would be six to nine more vehicles behind them), but to stop them long enough to realize what a crappy move that was. And the chances are better that the rest of the oncoming traffic realizes that they shouldn't follow the backed up queue of cars on the wrong side of the road. When you have to stop because a steady queue of cars is coming down your own lane - when do you think is the right moment to stop them from doing that?
Matt L shouldn't have gone if he couldn't clear the coaches. He could see the Saab was coming before he moved. If he couldn't see the Saab before he moved then it would be different

Yes tney should have seen you but its not as if you had no time to stop before clearing the first car.
@Vanessa.1990 To be fair the only reason you can't see the approaching vehicle is because the cammer pulled out behind the vehicle in front, so couldn't actually see if the road was clear or not. The cammer clearly performed a dangerous overtake by pulling out into the opposing carriageway when they couldn't see whether it was safe or not. And, yes the oncoming vehicle was just being a dick by not making the cammer's poor driving a non-issue. Two wrongs don't make a right as they say. But had the cammer not been directly behind the other vehicle, the oncoming one would have been clearly visible.

2:16 J’s video. Your breaking the law by overtaking a cyclist to close to a junction. The Highway Code is very clear when approaching a junction you don’t overtake cyclists or horses. This is your fault for dangerous and careless driving. Not the cyclist. Cyclists have a right to use the full lane to avoid drains, objects or dangers in the roadway.
" how did you manage that then" Maybe because wolfe, you took up both lanes on the roundabout thinking you were on a racetrack, and collided with the car on the inside lane
To be fair, that road could be 70mph and the cyclist pulled out only about 20 metres from him. In this instance, I would say the cyclist deserved the criticism, not Thomas.
How was it "clearly well above the speed limit"? That was a dual carriageway, the default speed limit would be 70. How fast do you think Thomas was going?
First clip. Oncoming driver was being a bit of a tool, but also it looks like the cammer followed the other car past the obstruction without being able to aee for themselves it was clear due to the car in front blocking their view. This can sometimes be very annoying, eg when you end up sitting there with priority as car after car bullies their way through anyway.

J cyclist was fine you were the plonker attempting that overtake, he NEVER moved to the centre of the road and when he shoulder checked he realised you were never going to give him 1.5 metres , just have more consideration of other road users in future
Not gonna happen is it,it seems to be bred into these morons.
9:55 there's no way she can even see the road past her dashboard sitting that low... Raise your seat!
J - what were you thinking with the junction coming up 🤷♂️
I nominate J for TOTW... Tries to pointlessly overtake a cyclist whilst coming up to a junction and then submits a clip moaning about the cyclist...
Saab driver just had to create a scene holding everyone up just to prove how "right" he is, what a knob.
You can almost guarantee he had a dashcam too.
Yep: I’m waiting for the view from the Saab to turn up on another dash cam channel!
@@neiltonks4627 Probably JediAvenger.
He thinks he's the dogs bollocks in his 20 year old Saab
"But I had right of way. Right of way. Right of way."
@@spiderbootsy That could work in some situations, knowing my luck if I then pulled forward they would immediately do the same thing lol
"Cyclist deliberately swerves" is an interesting way to say you attempted a dangerous overtake on a cyclist whose positioning was fine...whilst approaching a junction.
That bloke with the deep voice is involved in a lot of these
😂😂😂
Frank Bruno gets around a bit
I will never understand the mindset of people who think "oh, that person in front of me isn't going fast enough. So I will go in front of them and stop."
8:39, the word "almost" was doing some heavy lifting there 😂
7:47 first time rear ended and nearly second time rear ended as you pull out on the red Citroën
😂
2:10 that's some good cycling there.
Wasn't really much point trying to overtake there anyway was there J? You were a few seconds from the junction, was it really too much hassle to just wait?
4:22 nick d
If only you had given the driver a little space but no.
Hence the reverse into your car😂😂
Imagine trying to overtake the cyclist there right before a junction, and thinking the cyclist trying to protect his ass from your reckless driving is wrong...
Dear oh dear. 2:10
2.15. J. Cyclist deliberately moves to centre of road to prevent obertake? As he is supposed to take a priority position to ensure his safety. Read the highway code once more. As a more vulnerable road user the cyclist has priority over you.

The instructor wasn't driving 🙄

The clip at 2:40 I've driven along that road many times but I can definitely tell the driver with the dashcam was way over the speed limit and the cyclist misjudged their speed. Many people seem to race through that road
Yeah the street lamps and lack of any repeaters says to me it's a 30mph and they seem to be doing 50 maybe
@problemchild1976 it's a national speed limit but I reckon it's closer to 70-80mph

Some shocking professional HGV driving this time.
My thoughts exactly👍👍
That's not unusual these days.
cyclist right to use the whole lane of a road
Yep. Safety is more important. If the car can't overtake, tough. And if we cyclists don't look out for our own safety, then WHO WILL?
No they're not. Blocking the road is illegal. Go join JSO if you believe that BS.

tell that to all the stupid drivers who treat us cyclists like dirt because they "pay road tax" and we don't.
besides, riding in the middle of the lane has nothing to do with entitlement but with getting to my destination in one piece. and yes, that is something i, as a road user, am entitled to.
7:52 I honestly blame the BMW driver there. People don't seem to realise how stupid people become when you let them pull out before you. They don't look. They just go. He was sat behind a give way line. He can wait.

What is Matt L shouting the odds for? Not up to the SAAB driver to reverse, Matt's fault for continuing to overtake. I would have sat there and not moved.
There was plenty of time and room for the saab to slow down and let the cammer finish
@@alanmtbuk: "There was plenty of time and room for the saab to slow down and let the cammer finish"
The cammer - and how many cars after him, too?
You know full well the 1st clip the oncoming car is a dashcammer desperately trying to get content to send in.
JediVagina or whatever his name is.
I thought the same, maybe we see their footage next week..."driver passes bus without giving way (ignore me accelerating to block)"

final clip rear end shunt sounded like it was a learner on a lesson! Not a nice thing to happen anyone but especially for a learner!
Nick D. Imagine applying a left signal and breaking to perform a reverse parallel park with the car behind you at least one car length behind the first car of the gap then only to have them come right up their chuff and preventing them to carryout the manoeuvre. Yes tney should have seen you but its not as if you had no time to stop before clearing the first car.
Nick D wants a new car by the stupidity of that stop
1:44 is it just me misjudging it, or is the the dashcammer going well too fast for that bit of road ?
Great vifeo as always 😊

Totally agree. I hate trying to get to the services there. Cock up from start to finish.
Damn first clip. Glad people made him aware he was the idiot. When cammer overtook other car was not even in sight. He sped up to block him. 😂
I’ve had an idiot do exactly the same thing to me, there was a gap I could have pulled into to let them past and they sped up to block it
@Vanessa.1990
To be fair the only reason you can't see the approaching vehicle is because the cammer pulled out behind the vehicle in front, so couldn't actually see if the road was clear or not.
@vanessa clearly blind as the cammer dude when he followed the car to overtake u can see the on coming car clearly on dashcam so the driver should of clearly seen it before we can on dashcam. its cammer fault for being an idiot and following the car in front without looking.

In that first clip…. That’s definitely JediAvenger in the SAAB.

Wolfe lives in fantasy land
" how did you manage that then"
Maybe because wolfe, you took up both lanes on the roundabout thinking you were on a racetrack, and collided with the car on the inside lane
Thomas N @2.40 how fast were you going!! Clearly well above the speed limit - cycslist was very lucky you missed him
To be fair, that road could be 70mph and the cyclist pulled out only about 20 metres from him. In this instance, I would say the cyclist deserved the criticism, not Thomas.
How was it "clearly well above the speed limit"? That was a dual carriageway, the default speed limit would be 70. How fast do you think Thomas was going?
Was the Saab driver JediAvenger? 🤔
Haha, but in all seriousness, it can't be because of the lack of horn use.

As a foreigner having driven over there, they don't always make it easy to be in the right lane entering a roundabout...

All those comments criticizing J [ 2:15 ] I get it [like many of you do]....but come on now - who thinks J will change his erroneous ways and who thinks he'll read the comments and probably understand them but as soon as another similar incident arises forget everything - if you think the latter [forget] hit the like
