Iv'e had shoulder pain for about six months now, the result of some extreme burpee exercises. I was convinced I'd need surgery. @@toneandtighten Ive been suffering myself but mine ended up as an associated symptom after a viral gastroenteritis attack can u believe? after whats been going on, the entire viral family sure has us by the balls, of course this was Norovirus and not the big cahuna C. Anyway that disease led to an on set of gastritis im already dealing with since last year due to inappropriate diet in uni. Eventually that cause me a mini lavatory lockdown which forced a bad posture from me for longer than usual that led to bursitis impingement. So while im stuck on lockdown, i researched and formatted your clips and provide easy reference for both myself and others. I repeat, if I may give advice, hopefully you can incorporate methods of relieving acute pain when its active because we all know when it is, its like back pain, it takes a while to relieve itself even if you are doing things right. What i found is mainly some gentle ball position greasing exercise (pendulum), adjusting rest on sitting and sleeping position, and your scapular pinches with the downward push being important even during attack. Thank you for your vids bruv. Many a shoulders are finally free from abuse #metooshouldermovement
I've watched three of your shoulder pain videos and only doing it for a bit already has been life changing. im so grateful. where has this channel been my whole life
just developed a shoulder pain as i was lifting a bicycle onto high rack on the wall a few months, pain is deep and I have been icing, but definitely work it through. this one along with Bob & Brad's videos, I found, very consistent and helpful. Going to practice these daily. Thanks so much for the post!
wanted to follow up with a strong precaution with the foam roller. as i was laying down on the foam roller as shown around the 7 minute mark, i lost my balance, fell on my right side where i had the impinged shoulder, i tried to get off the foam roller too. Felt a sharp pain on my low back, and the next day I have the symptoms of a herniated disc which i didn't know right away until I talked to my doctor. this was on 12/23/20. now attending a much more painful injury and hoping it will heal itself in 4-6 weeks without a need for surgery. But just wanted to caution anyone the risk of injuring yourself in other places as these exercises should be done with care and instructed. A lumbar disc can be herniated at any point and mine probably have some history. Still don't do what i do. Heal away!

Excellent. Massive back shoulder pain (up into my neck, as well) the past three days... it's been unbearable. Did your exercise... Helped immediately, but the pain came back after I stopped. Will continue to do the movements you've recommended to see if things improve. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this video! I got shoulder impingement from improper shoulder rotation during weightlifting. I did the exercises in this video once and it already has reduced so much of my discomfort.
Hi. May I ask what kind of weightlifting you did and how your shoulder rotation was improper? I have the same issue for a few weeks now. I always thought you need to external rotate your shoulders before a a lift to stabilize the shoulders. I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks in regard.

You helped a lot . I woke up and had a shoulder pain and was trying to find how to fix my posture last week and now you helped me reduce the pain and gave me advice and information .Thanks a lot
Great video! Over the last 3 months I’ve been having impingement issues so I’ve been watching a lot of vids, one thing I’ve noticed is nobody really mentions truck driving as a very good reason for poor posture and heavy use of arms when steering. I say this cuz my exact situation been driving garbage truck for 23 years and it’s catching up to me, good exercising and stretching like seen here are helping ❤
I've been dealing with shoulder pain for weeks. I did these exercises last night, actually everything but the band exercises because I don't have those. This morning, my shoulder already feels a lot better. Thank you!
Cory Everson weight training 40 yrs added gym membership = good shape . Knocked shoulder blade out of socket - ouch! Thank You for stretches to secure free movement of joint and end to pain. Thank You!
Dear Dr. Jared, Thanks a million. I had my shoulder in pain for several months and now and your suggestions helped me regain my arm functionality. It took three weeks to get full mobility but the pain was relieved in the first week. Thanks a lot.
Oh man I hope this works. Had a fall running in the dark a month ago and my shoulder has been sore since. The doorway stretches are very accessible. I actually found myself doing these instinctually prior to seeing the UA-cam video. Pretty exciting to consider the foam roller excersizes. The ideas to get minimal equipment and do this at home is a good way to keep the workout part of my daily routine with or without the trip to the gym. Got me considering if my mattress is too soft...hmmm. Great help explaining and identifying the causes for impingement. Pretty sure that is the issue for me. I feel like yeah, on the mend faster than before. Thanks!
Amazing. Just tried to cooy your movements while sitting and watching this video and it already helped relieve my pain. Pain which developed from being hyper active to kind of sedentary during the long lockdowns. Thanks for giving me hope
I've been having shoulder pain for nearly two weeks now due to too much kettle bell exercise, I like your video will be doing it tomorrow. Thanks for great video.
Doing the door exercises (and I've looke at other videos) my symptoms presented as bursitis arthritis and tendonitis but after that door exercise my shoulder - popped- and it's like everything has re set, some residual issues but quite amazing - many thanks
Thanks for the Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Schallingora Font Storage Scheme (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for getting rid of your shoulder pain minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate at last got excellent success with it.
I tried the door exercises and floor exercises and felt such a tremendous improvement , when i get to the gym next i will do the internal/external rotations, thank you so much!!
Thank you! I liked the logical process you took for this. Do the external and internal rotation exercises hit all the rotator cuff muscles? I’ve been doing these daily for a month. My shoulder is much improved but I still have some impingement pain, especially if I move my arm quickly.
Just wanted to leave a comment to thank you for this excellent video. In the past, I went through PT for my rotator where I learned similar exercises. You’ve captured and explained them so well, and I watch it every few months as a refresher. Quick Q: what’s your take on frequency? For active PT and also maintenance.
Hi this video is really help me to practice in my shoulder pain because I can not rotating my right shoulder I suffering a lot went physiotherapist but doesn’t help much I love the way u explaining . Thanks most welcome to see more healthy videos
I have been dealing with this Shoulder Impingement for the past 6months, my primary doctor prescribed me a ton of painkillers and said it would go away on its own. After taking the pills a couple of times, I stopped because it was getting high, and after it wore off the pain was the same. After trying these exercises I can feel some relief and it's only my 1st try. Thanks for making its video and sharing it.
Iv had bad arm for a year after covid booster jab but I followed your exercises and things are getting a lot better and I'm 73 only been doing them for week but already iv notice a big improvement iv looked at lot of your videos and big help thanks a lot because I never thought it would get better.
The doorway exercises really helped. On each first set, the pain in my shoulder was pretty substantial, but the pain gradually lessened with the second and third set. How many times a day can I do these stretching exercises? Thank you for posting these!
@@deborahnickrand4538 cold presses help too, but whatever I do, sleeping usually reverses it. Had to learn to not sleep on my side. It is getting better, but slowly.
wow so I followed along and my shoulder felt relief! Thank you. Can I do this morning and night? Or just stretch after training at the gym? and do warm ups like you showed at the end of the video?
Many thanks. I went to a doctor who did an x-ray and said I had arthritis. He said there is no gap caused by arthritis. My shoulder pain was not gradual, it appeared over night and was excruciating. The trouble was range. Arthritis does not affect the range as I was experiencing. No, after watching UA-cam and reading on the internet, I believe I have impingement. My new doctor is going to do an ultrasound but has not told why. So I looked up ultrasound and impingement and I believe the doc is looking at impingement. I will now begin your exercises because I looked at my posture and I am rounding as you have shown. Thank you because when I have delt with this, I can sleep better and do weight training again. God bless
I want to tell you how quick your exercises worked. I did the first door exercise and the first attempt hurt, but I have been in so much pain since August last year, I just held my ground. Another reason is because I could actually feel the stretch you talked about but, more, I could feel the joint opening up. I did this three times. The last had very very little pain. The second door exercise hurt proper, so I just did a small step inside. I did both door exercises three times and held for 15-20 seconds. The other exercise is the turning the shoulders out. Again I felt stretch and the joint opening. I had my best night sleep since August. I even slept painless on my left shoulder. I am now doing house activities using my left shoulder. The second door exercise is sore but is getting less pain. I also pushed out 3 reps of 20 push ups which I could only muster 10. The pain is worth it. God bless
Hi Jared, thanks for the great advice, just one question: How often should exercises like this be done in any given week? once a week? every three days? Thanks
thank you so so much,,, after watching several other videos,,, I finally found a complete and effective set of exercises... done it once and am already feeling a lot better..
Can't tell if mine is this or more deltoid tendons. This has been going for years, now. Truthfully, I can't see these doing any help; usually they aggravate it more. Maybe initial healing needs to happen. I believe the cause is from sleeping on my side. The first time switching sides (yesterday) had an immediate effect; I could at least lift my arm the next morning (which was shocking (no pun)). The dooming action was roller painting a ceiling - almost didn't even finish the job. Will try to follow up with results.
Thank you so much... I've been going to different PT's (Doctor Referrals, Athletico..etc...) and out of pocket its been close to a Thousand bucks to literally do all of the exercises you just demonstrated! Thank you for sharing these as you had a couple that the PT's didn't have me do...Now I can stop paying them and watch your video if I forget any of the moves... Thank you!!
My pecs are tight and shoulders are pronated, they roll in, I bet you're just super tight there. I'd roll a lacrosse ball over the chest to help it release. You can do it right in a doorway. Then add the stretch you were doing. Hope it's gotten better.
Thank you so much, it is amazing I have very much pain in my right shoulder it is just in the socket I can’t even hold both my hands at my back I can’t even tie my hair now I don’t know what to do, I will surely try this exercise, thank you so much. You are great 👍
Thank you. Bad left shoulder, rotator repaired, still bad, found some of your fixes through trial and error. Will need to try some of your other fixes. Thanks again. Jack
Thank you again, after your video on lower back pain helped me came back for a lingering shoulder pain, the doorway stretches and the in/out arm/shoulder exercises worked, felt relief after one session!

Glad to hear!
Great video! Recently came down with impingement in my left shoulder. Felt immediate relief after the scapular pinches. Thank you
Wonderful! You are so welcome!
I've been dealing with shoulder pain for weeks. I did these exercises last night, actually everything but the band exercises because I don't have those. This morning, my shoulder already feels a lot better. Thank you!
Oh, that is such good news! Thanks for sharing, Amanda!
Ya i also try this is very nice
I am from india
Great advice. Our tendency is to overlook the importance of stretching. Thank you.
You are welcome, CAFETERO777! I hope this helps you!
Cory Everson weight training 40 yrs added gym membership = good shape . Knocked shoulder blade out of socket - ouch!
Thank You for stretches to secure free movement of joint and end to pain. Thank You!
You are welcome! I am glad these helped you!
Dear Dr. Jared,
Thanks a million.
I had my shoulder in pain for several months and now and your suggestions helped me regain my arm functionality.
It took three weeks to get full mobility but the pain was relieved in the first week.
Thanks a lot.
Oh, wonderful news! You are very welcome and thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Thanks so much for your comment and you are welcome! I hope these exercises help you out.
thanks! helped my shoulder immediately.
Great, walmartinrx! You are welcome! I am glad this helped and thanks for sharing!
Amazing. Just tried to cooy your movements while sitting and watching this video and it already helped relieve my pain. Pain which developed from being hyper active to kind of sedentary during the long lockdowns. Thanks for giving me hope
You are so welcome! I am glad these are helping!
GOOD MORNING DR NOW I AM GOING FOR PHYSIO THIRAPY THANKS & BEST REGARD
All the best!
I've been having shoulder pain for nearly two weeks now due to too much kettle bell exercise, I like your video will be doing it tomorrow. Thanks for great video.
You are welcome, Elizabeth! I hope it helps your pain!
Doing the door exercises (and I've looke at other videos) my symptoms presented as bursitis arthritis and tendonitis but after that door exercise my shoulder - popped- and it's like everything has re set, some residual issues but quite amazing - many thanks
Awesome! You are welcome, nnrd m!
Thank you for all this information! It’s exactly what I need right now.
You are welcome, Kathy! I hope it is helpful!
Probably the best exercises to eliminate shoulder pain I've seen so far! Thank you Tone and Tighten. You have my subscription!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so glad you found this video helpful and thank you for subscribing!
These rotator cuff stretches of yours are so good my impinged shoulder feels slightly better after doing just the X y & a stretches
Wonderful to hear and thanks for sharing!
I tried the door exercises and floor exercises and felt such a tremendous improvement , when i get to the gym next i will do the internal/external rotations, thank you so much!!
Great to hear!
Thank you! I liked the logical process you took for this. Do the external and internal rotation exercises hit all the rotator cuff muscles? I’ve been doing these daily for a month. My shoulder is much improved but I still have some impingement pain, especially if I move my arm quickly.
Same goes to me..stil pain
Just wanted to leave a comment to thank you for this excellent video. In the past, I went through PT for my rotator where I learned similar exercises. You’ve captured and explained them so well, and I watch it every few months as a refresher.
Quick Q: what’s your take on frequency? For active PT and also maintenance.
thank you for those tips for rotator cuff impingement stretches i will try them, i cannot lift one of my hand all the way.
You're so welcome! I hope they help!
I have the same thing. It stinks. Sometimes right under my left shoulder blade. Smh miss the gym.

I am so glad to hear that, Troy! Thanks for sharing!
wow what a relief
thank you so much. may god bless you.
So glad this was helpful for you!
You are welcome! I hope you continue to feel some relief!
Thank you!! Was just searching for something on how to fix shoulder impingement...just told I have that.. hoping not worse..
I am sorry to hear that, lu gaines! I hope this helps you!

Impossible to do the doorway stretches if you have serious impingement
Then try a little bit at a time. Hope you have had some relief
The doorway exercises really helped. On each first set, the pain in my shoulder was pretty substantial, but the pain gradually lessened with the second and third set. How many times a day can I do these stretching exercises? Thank you for posting these!
i am hoping the same result---am in a lot of `pain````
@@deborahnickrand4538 cold presses help too, but whatever I do, sleeping usually reverses it. Had to learn to not sleep on my side. It is getting better, but slowly.
wow so I followed along and my shoulder felt relief! Thank you. Can I do this morning and night? Or just stretch after training at the gym? and do warm ups like you showed at the end of the video?
If it helps why not do all
Thanks man i had shoulder pain for more than six months and its getting better now with your help.
Great to hear and thank you for sharing!
God bless
You are welcome! I hope you continue to feel better!
God bless
Thanks a lot! And also now I know how I hurt my shoulder recently....
You are welcome, Igor Khomenko! I hope you start feeling better soon!
I have infraspinatotus injury where external rotation of shoulder causes pain. I need exercise of those muscle.
Hi Jared, thanks for the great advice, just one question: How often should exercises like this be done in any given week? once a week? every three days? Thanks
Consistency is key here! At least 3 days a week would be good.
@@toneandtighten Thanks!
Update on door step through, almost totally healed. Thanks again.
Wonderful to hear, Craig! Thanks for sharing!

You're very welcome, Promise Omoigui! I hope they help you! Thanks for commenting.
I would like him this experience exercise
Shoulders: 4:58 and 8:25
Back: 9:04
Awesome instructions. In combination, all of these actions resolved my shoulder issues. Thank you very much.
You're welcome!
Im loving this video man. This is really helping I'm a 30 something year old male with bad left shoulder pain.
Oh, I am so happy to hear this is helping!
Sorry to hear about your pain, Lou. You might benefit more initially from some gentle shoulder stretching: ua-cam.com/video/1PdyCdtkcGk/v-deo.html
Thank you
You bet, Larry! I hope they help!
What if your shoulder hurts even when doing the doorway stretch
Thank you so much... I've been going to different PT's (Doctor Referrals, Athletico..etc...) and out of pocket its been close to a Thousand bucks to literally do all of the exercises you just demonstrated! Thank you for sharing these as you had a couple that the PT's didn't have me do...Now I can stop paying them and watch your video if I forget any of the moves... Thank you!!
You are welcome! I am so glad you are finding these helpful and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Doctor 🏥 may God bless you for sharing your very informative video, love from India. 🙏
You are so welcome!
What about impingement from a fall?
@Don Juan Matus what about shoulder pain from training?
Is it normal that during the stretch I feel like my chest is about to rip apart
This made me laugh 🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣
Its your pec muscles, but you’re going at it too hard. Lighten up a bit. You just want to feel a comfortable stretch.
My pecs are tight and shoulders are pronated, they roll in, I bet you're just super tight there. I'd roll a lacrosse ball over the chest to help it release. You can do it right in a doorway. Then add the stretch you were doing. Hope it's gotten better.
i'm feeling' it! It really feels excellent.
Great to hear, Mary Haight! I hope you continue to feel better!
Hi. Your exercises helped me so much. Your expmanation is accurate. I love them. Thanjs a lot!

No
Thank you. Bad left shoulder, rotator repaired, still bad, found some of your fixes through trial and error. Will need to try some of your other fixes. Thanks again. Jack
You are welcome, Jack! I hope they help!
Thank you again, after your video on lower back pain helped me came back for a lingering shoulder pain, the doorway stretches and the in/out arm/shoulder exercises worked, felt relief after one session!
You are welcome! I am so glad to hear that!
