@@nycflyertravel same too! It is not too expensive, you can snag one for around $250 round trip flying out of New York, and around $300 for normal airlines like Delta!
It was about time they upgraded their planes. Those 330s are old. I used to fly Hawaiian all the time growing up from LAX and it’s always bumpy over the Pacific Ocean. Great video you two!❤️✈️
Hawaiian Airlines' new B787 is beautiful. The economy class seat looked more comfortable than on their A330-300, but the star of this B787-9 seems to be the business class seat
Congrats on your 1st inaugural Hawaiian airlines, Boeing 787-9 flight to San Francisco in 2024, hope your flight went well. I wish Hawaiian airlines newest, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner have free wifi, external camera, air vent and lavatory inside the plane, but it was disappointed that they don't install it. If Hawaiian airlines install air vent, external camera and window inside the lavatory on the Boeing 787-9, that will be nice and awesome.
People who complain about Hawaiian airlines food should really think about what other domestic airlines are giving out nowadays. They give a cookie or a pretzel. At least hawaiian gives a sandwich and even free alcoholic drink
Flew HA from Haneda last Oct, and yes, their business class in due for a refresh. I wish they were getting more than 12 airframes. These need to be put on the Tokyo route, but I’m biased.
Still waiting to book a flight to east coast, the 787-9 was a long haul plane that was plan to fly up to 8k miles. Lucky if it is available before 2026.(nothing available up to April 2025).
Like a review here but HA should have copied what other Legacy carriers UA AA and DL have in their wide bodies that fly both International and domestic which is actually giving their passengers in all classes AC power plug. Otherwise HA widebodies simply resemble it's competitor on HNL🇺🇲-MNL🇵🇭 PR100/101 only the Mabuhay business class passengers have AC Fiesta class economy don't have AC plugs.
The drop in food service began decades ago. Pull a tomato here an olive there and save 100k. At the same time increasing paid food options at the terminal. All part of increasing revenue. Nothing new. Great review. Nice aircraft.
Awesome trip report! Those 787's look really clean with the Hawaiian livery!
You should fly to St Marteen and do some plane spotting there!
Thanks! That’s definitely a dream of mine

@@nycflyertravel Correction on my last reply, just looked on Jetblue and tickets are going for $130... talk about a good deal

Thanks! Yeah, the A330 was not very nice. Hawaiian definitely needed these new planes.

awesome!

Wow so many people were on this flight, I wish I could've made it to celebrate with yall! But unfortunately I had class when this was happening...
Definitely a great time!
Wonderful video! ❤
Thank you 🙏

I just got a “mini fruit roll” on my flight home from SFO to Newark yesterday with United 😵💫
Bingo!

I think they have options to buy a few more.
Were the seats comfortable. They looked a little thin in the pictures
Yeah, they were pretty comfortable. Much better than on the A330.

I really hope they start operating it to JFK. It’s so much better than Hawaiian’s A330.
were you able to able to undim the window shades or no?
Yeah, they weren’t locked
Oof is a massive understatement...
The hot pocket was a nice touch.
Saya lihat vidio kamu sayang ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤❤
have wifi on 787?
10:08 actually watch the video guy

Yeah, it was strange that our normal economy seats didn’t have AC plugs. At least the USB ports worked well.
Your wife should have indicated for a vegan meal in her booking
Unfortunately, that’s not an option
I enjoyed your review but am so disappointed in their disgraceful food service so typical of US carriers, guess HA is off my fly list! Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! Wasn’t the best food, but much better than United
Anything is better. (Accept for Thai airways) @@nycflyertravel
Haha what a dumb comment. Name one domestic airline that serves anything more than a pretzel besides Hawaiian Airlines 🤡
Right? I mean they're offering something but it's sad to see how far the bar has dropped in food service.
