    Nice comprehensive review. Looks like a good airline. Getting 2 meals on a 7 & a half hour flight in Economy Class is a great deal nowadays. Your food looked decent. The price was reasonable and it is always good to hear that the flight attendants were professional and courteous, something that you can't always expect these days. 😊

      Thanks for the comment! I was really surprised at how nice it was to fly with Miat. The food was definitely better than what they serve in Economy on US carriers.

      I have given up expecting any food on American carriers domestically. I actually pack a "picnic lunch" with enough for my seat mate if they want something to eat. If they don't want it, it's no big deal. I just feel a little uncomfortable "pigging out" when the passenger next to me has no food. 🤣

      @@jvstcu76 haha you’re a better person than most! Hopefully I get a seat next to you next time I fly to California 😂

    I've flown with MIAT several times - probably something to do with having a Mongolian wife for the last 26 years! In general, I would say that they're good value for money - whether in economy or business class.. We haven't flown in the 787 yet, but my wife and daughter will be trying it out in August. Your review was very reassuring for them.
    Good to hear that you enjoyed Mongolia - despite UB's traffic and the pollution.

    Wow, definitely rare and unusual! Glad you filmed it! Also that beef option gave me an idea for my next lunch/dinner while working from home. Seems wood cutlery is standard now for a lot of carriers.

    Great video, I love reviews of unusual airlines and unusual routes! I would be very surprised there is enough demand for US flights, though. And I agree about Frankfurt Terminal 2, it's not good. So few services and amenities, and there is security at each gate so once you are inside security you are stuck with nothing to do.

      Thanks for watching! Yeah, I’d be surprised if they were able to sustain flights to the US and the lack of amenities in terminal 2 was no fun

    Way to go and to go back to EWR from Ulaanbaatar you could have done MIAT Ulaanbaatar Incheon and then Air Premia ICN-EWR alternatively KE/OZ Ulaanbaatar-ICN-JFK

      @nycflyertravel  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, but Air Premia was really expensive when we were traveling.
