Ciarán Bourke, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, John Sheahan, and Ronnie Drew. With the greatest of respect to the other members, this is the ICONIC line-up of the group. Rest in Peace, gentlemen, and hope you stay for a while yet, John.
Great lyrics, great singer, great band, what more could you want. Miss all of u terribly, Ronnie, Luke, Ciaran and Barney. God bless. Long live the Dubliners through their brilliant music and the memories of those people who heard them play their magic..
There's nothing like watching Luke Kelly. I discovered him thanks to UA-cam. And I knew from the first notes he sang that the man was a legend in Irish folk music. It's nothing particular about the man...save his passion. Luke just knows how to sing the song the was meant to be performed. Others do it pretty. Luke did it correctly.
Luke you and the other members of The Dubliners were Fantastic!!!! You had a wonderful voice and you are all sadly missed. Thank you for the great music. May you R.I.P. 🙏🇮🇪☘️
It’s a genuine “embarrassment of riches” when a band has not simply one of the greatest lead singers/front men in the history of bands, but TWO, Rhonnie Drew AND Luke Kelly. Damn…☘️🎶🙏
He looks straight to Ronnie as if to admit the mistake, Ronnie beamed back as if to say 'yeah fucked that one up'. Not a beat skipped and sounded even better than without a mistake. We will never see the like again.
'Raw' is definitely the word - I always love how there are rough edges to both his singing and his playing, no frills at all. He was the original punk.
Luke Kelly is a legend. His voice is amazing. I wish he was alive today would love to watch this man sing. There will never be such a great singer like Luke Kelly such passion. RIP true legend never forgotten.
that was our wedding song. My wife has understood me since day one. we have been married for 10 years now and I love her madly. Greetings from Frankfurt.
This is my favourite Line up, Luke, Ciaran, barney and ronnie, such awesome people! and not to forget john! I'd love to be older and saw this line up live this must be midn blowing!
Isn't it great that artists such as Lukey can be experienced by the world even at this time. A true hero, a class act who had the X factor before the shams!! Long live the voice and the memory
They were before my time . But I wish I had the chance to meet Luke Kelly , and shake the hand of ALL the original Dubliners. 💖💖💖💖💖 They looked like they were always having such a great time . 😍😍😍😍😍 C
Nah wouldnt forget the band, All for one and one for all! Bless those who are still alive and rest in peace to those who have left us bereft of their energy, mischief and sound. Have not heard anyone like them anywhere. Like many another fan, have to get my fix every day.
Luke kelly is hands down me favourite singer of all time.another legend who left us far too young.he was so passionate in his songs he threw his head back at top of his voice and gave it emotional feeling and he didn't have this for the song at the time he wouldn't sing it.with so many songs to choose from these ones will always stand out to me.raglan road scorn not his simplicity the town i loved so well foggy dew rocky road to Dublin and the springhill mine disaster and i could keep going for hours.rip luke
You're probs right, I meant it as a compliment to the Dubliners, and in particular Luke Kelly's talent. Fabulous group, I could listen to them all night. Best wishes.
Oh Oh Glorio, Now I'm the Lord's disciple Oh Oh Glorio, Now Hand me down My Bible I like my liquor and my livin' hard, May the lord save my soul. My salvation was a turn of the card My hearts as black as coal. But everybody's got the right to go wrong Everybody's got to sing my song Everybody's got the right to go wrong Sing my song, Sing my song. Oh Oh Glorio, Now I'm the Lord's disciple Oh Oh Glorio, Now Hand me down my Bible. Oh Oh Glorio, Now I'm the Lords disciple Oh Oh Glorio, Now Hand me down my Bible. I don't give a damn for any man, As all the world can see, Time has come to make a stand Well, to shine your light on me. Come on people, let your life begin, Come on now let the sun shine in, Come on people let your life begin Let it in, let it in. Oh Oh Glorio, Now I'm the Lords disciple Oh Oh Glorio, Now Hand me down my Bible.
My 4 year old heard his voice for a few mins as he's a fan of this song but a different version so i skipped on , when he heard Luke Kelly he said put the man back on! He was belting it away on the way to preschool this morning.
love this, love Luke, love them all, but really love Luke...truly addicted to Luke, it is not wearing off, need my Luke fix every day....the music is all so so so great

The definitive lineup. Never bettered.
It's truly sad that so many of us never had the opportunity to be entertained by these great musicians !
If only Church was like this--I'd be there every Sunday.
evangelical church.
Luke Kelly was the Irish Bob Marley, He was the voice of a whole race!
Well siad
well said Mo Chara
W A S?
Wait, have I missed sth?
What race would that be?
I shouldn`t have said race,I meant he was the voice of the Irish people
I've got nothing against U2 but the Dubliners legends. Forever
U2=A Load Of Rubbish.
One of my favourite songs of all time! Luke was a legend but the entire band toogether was sheer magic!
Great lyrics, great singer, great band, what more could you want. Miss all of u terribly, Ronnie, Luke, Ciaran and Barney. God bless. Long live the Dubliners through their brilliant music and the memories of those people who heard them play their magic..

Luke was a true performer full of raw talent. I love how he makes a mistake at 1.21, pulls a massive smile, and then just carries on. A true legend.
Man I do that all the time 😅😅
good catch
He does look a little bashful as he shots a look at Ronnie but is straight back in to it.
He looks straight to Ronnie as if to admit the mistake, Ronnie beamed back as if to say 'yeah fucked that one up'.

Luke Kelly is a legend. His voice is amazing. I wish he was alive today would love to watch this man sing. There will never be such a great singer like Luke Kelly such passion. RIP true legend never forgotten.

Luke Kelly is to Irish music,
Similar to what Freddie Mercury was to Rock music,
Never will another voice compare to or replace them,
How someone could put so much energy and soulfullness into singing is beyond me. One of those things unique to Luke i suppose
He would only be in his 70’s. So tragic!
Oh so heartbreaking I would love to have met him what a national hero💖
Had they known Luke's cancer had come back he could have been saved
His voice is authentic, relevant to these times as well as past times. Rest in peace Luke Kelly
never heard this before . a great wee tune to sit wae the grandkids n have a wee sing song . RIP LUKE KELLY .
Sing my song, sing my song, oh glory-o!!! This is a Great Man! RIP LUKE KELLY!!!

Luke Kelly was the best from ireland and allso the Dubliners
The Dubliners make me proud to be Irish , they were the definition of our Island, can't help but tap your foot to this one.. :)
Now Ireland is just another "multicultural" area. Just like all of Europe.
2021 still listening to these amazing musicians 🇮🇪☘️👏👏👏
Always loved this. It's pure old Ireland. They epitomised a generation. Would have loved a pint and a sing song with the lads
They were before my time .

Luke walked my mam back from her 21st and he was 'the perfect gentleman' - 1959 dublin, my mam.
without doubt best singer this country has produced.
There's some stiff competition there, too; the Irish are famous for being great at music!
