Stumbled across this while looking for different versions of Katie Daley... the ladies are amazing. Great rendition and thanks for introducing me to Luke Kelly and other great Irish ballad/folk singers
I was in Irland and also in Connermara in July. Are you still singing together? I would have liked to meet and listen you all there. I am one Irland-lover from Finland.
@regen1974 know what you mean now. its a very good description of how luke performed i would call it EDGINESS which is what all great performers had...
Great stuff, dont know much about the brennans but they are very impressive, and easy on the eye also, and lets face it... If Sharon Shannon is involved then it will be good! :)
What a brilliant song....Luke Kelly is the master...this is a fantastic version..I'm from Yorkshire my mum was from Belfast...her maiden name was Brennan....I wonder if there is any relation........
i don't have a myspace account and ur web page is currently unavailable, i'm really interested in going to see you guys live when your around will you let me know where i can find out about tickets or concerts, (are there 2 different groups called the brennans?
this is a great version of this old ballad, but be careful dont compare to luke kelly anybody who question's his god like status are in serious trouble because of certain people.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enough said.
It´s good, but I prefer Luke´s version. The reason isn´t his god like status. This version it´s too silky for me, without edgility, but nice to listen.
Grannys Yardsale probably in your mind hippy the way you worded your pathetic reply, you have 5 out of sync singers here if you actually take the time to listen to this fuck’n shit properly instead of bashing my comment

@ jimmyriddle100 It´s possible. In german somebody who is intersting and attractive to you, but not perfect has "edgilities"
I think this is my favourite song about glory holes.
@regen1974 dont know what you mean by ! edgility ! there is no such word in the english language.
Please make sure it's a KING JAMES Bible!
different
ohhhhhhohhhhh gloryhole. Some song, some voices and some lacks L:)
where's shane macgowan? ...... they need him to smoke and drink, and sing off key, to put that special touch to this song!

this is a great version of this old ballad, but be careful dont compare to luke kelly anybody who question's his god like status are in serious trouble because of certain people.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enough said.
Great version but no Luke Kelly
It´s good, but I prefer Luke´s version. The reason isn´t his god like status.
This version it´s too silky for me, without edgility, but nice to listen.
nice version, not bad, that's as good as you can hope for, would obviously not touch the great man himself, even the girls know that.
hand them down their p45
do dey say "mary ur covered in rabies"???
Thanks again
Nice but no raw Luke Kelly feel.
Women can't sing some songs.
Not hard to listen to
Christ this is depressing Luke must be turning in his grave.
No, its actually pretty smooth and if Luke believed in what he sang, I'm sure hes smiling! Peace!
Grannys Yardsale probably in your mind hippy the way you worded your pathetic reply, you have 5 out of sync singers here if you actually take the time to listen to this fuck’n shit properly instead of bashing my comment
Paddy reily
You trying to kill Irish trad music... there's zero energy .. god, the longer I listen the more I hate it.. I bet Luke is rolling in his grave!
A pale impersonation of the original.
