I love the RE7 Save Room theme so much i made a half hour cut of it, as well as adding the relaxing sounds of a thunderstorm to add to the overwhelming atmosphere this song gives off.
I hope you enjoy it. - Ігри

Unfortunately theres a portion of this fandom that thinks this game is ass because of first person and no past RE characters besides chris at the end.
Fuck those people, this is the closest we ve gotten to the series roots since re0. Its obvious everything about the baker mansion was a homage to the original resident evil, and i adore itbfor that. Limited resources, item boxes, limited saves (in madhouse, love the tape recorder in place for the typewriter btw) exploration emphasis, and a remarkable ost.
This save room theme being up there with REmake and CV

It's not an ass game, it's just so different to be in the main lineup of games that it feels weird. I thought it was a good game but Chris looks and sounds like shit at the end of it and the DLC for the game was awful. RE2 remake proved that 3rd person over the shoulder is the perfect way to play RE. Smoothest controls out of the whole franchise.
@@NoxMonstrum tbh i prefer 1st person if it's not fixed camera angles
James Bartolomeo 4-6 were too different as well, they’re Resident Evil by name only.
I think the Resident Evil 2 Remake was a better interpretation of the roots.
I agree with everything and I’ll add that the atmosphere and story are the best in the series.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Louisiana bayou is genius, and getting the writer of Spec Ops: The Line to write the script was bold but definitely payed off.
I thought the 2-Make was the best game this year but the dated story and weird dialogue just made me miss this game even more.
Honest question did anybody else actually find themselves staying in the save rooms just to catch their breath and relax in their first playthrough
Yeah.
Definitely, even in my later playthroughs I still try to take it easy in the save rooms, it's so welcoming yet bluntly telling you "You have to go back out there"
Yes, I use the time to roll a blunt :3
I had to remind myself it was just a game
i had to sleep there for a few days and go back when i felt man enough xD
Something about this theme, so tragic. Instead of feeling safe, you feel part of the tragedy that is the Baker family.
You’re safe...
For now

Playing this game for the first time two years ago was one of the best gaming experiences I had had in a very long time. Honestly the first 20 minutes of this game is a masterpiece of horror. The slow building sense of dread, the rain and thunder, Mia disappearing and reappearing, the chainsaw...dang. It’s during these times where I wish I could replay something again like I never played it before.
Masterpiece it is!
Everything before the boat section was well executed and a nearly a damn 10/10 for me. Unfortunetly that portion of the game drags it down hard.
This game really scared the hell out of me. Seeing the Molded in the boiler room for the first time gave me PTSD. They don’t make to much noise , they just come for you. Being in the save room allowed me to catch my breath but I dreaded going back outside because I didn’t have any bullets to deal with those things. It’s been 3 years since I beat this game & I’m playing it again for my 2nd time , this save theme means even more to me now that I revisit it. I’m very excited for Resident Evil 8 , can’t believe Ethans story is coming to a close.
Yes
The end of the salt mine was the thing that made me scream the hardest in this game, molded is one of the scariest things ever, the thought of them coming to kill you slowly is scary enough.
"Out there you'll face horrors the world has never seen, but in here, you're safe. A separate dimension for which no harm may be done, but you will eventually need to leave this domain."

Re7 is such a good goddamn game man.
Drugs and alcohol probably.
3 years ago quarter of my friends and family were still alive. Shit is mad crazy
They knew what they were doing when making this track. There's always a time and place to know when you're safe. Stuck in a house with an infected insane family, and with a bunch of molded creatures after you all the time. It's moments when this track plays upon entering a room, that you just know you're fine and that nothig will hurt you. Just right in the game. RE7 is a fkn masterpiece imo. I love everything about this game
This game is honestly a masterpiece. I wish I could experience it for the first time again.

That is EXACTLY what an RE game should feel like!
Resident Evil 7 is such a somber and melancholy experience overall and this theme itself captures that feeling of sadness really well. The Bakers never wanted to hurt anybody, they didn't ask to be the people who antagonize you throughout the game, they weren't always like this. They were good people - victims - caught up in this whole mess because of Eveline. The Bakers were good people. And I feel like this song captures that feeling of "We/re sorry. We never meant for you to get caught up in this. We never meant to hurt anybody"
If that even makes sense? Idk that's just me
My feelings also. Its like a deep, dark apology and slow hum of torment - it reminds me of the moldy domain in which the Baker's minds were 'trapped'- black, lethargic, whispering for the release of death
The baker family never asked for this.
Lewis Castillo you couldn't have explained this better. I was thinking the same exact thing. The music fits so well with the atmosphere and emotion of the people in this game.
And even then, it's hard not to feel sorry for Eveline. Sure, she took over the bakers and did very horrible things.
But she just wanted a family. This is all because of some horrible weapons program that forced everyone in this situation into roles they didn't want. Eveline aged VERY quickly, so it's even sadder when you could say that she lived her whole life without a true family. Jack himself even feels sorry for her, explaining to Ethan that "She just wants a family". The whole story is very tragic, so this and the piano version fits very well into the somber mood.
Bullshit? Eveline had the mind of a ten year old girl. You give a ten year old girl the power that Eveline had and you put her in the psychologically damaging enviroment of a lab where nobody gives a rat's ass about her, and then you say "oh, but they're justifying murder". It was horrible, Ethan was right in stopping Eveline, but that's not to say that you can't feel sorry for a kid without a mom and dad? The company in charge of making Eveline wanted results no matter the cost, and the cost was Eveline's sanity.
But I'm just excusing a serial killer
right?
Re 7 and re2 re are going in the right track thank you Capcom for these awesome games.

Sometimes you can judge how good a game will be just by listening to its music. It sounds like Capcom have absolutely nailed this one.
Larry Langer
As I play right at this very moment, yes. Yes they have.
what about the Sonic 06 soundtrack?
Larry Langer nah. sonic is a good example on how that's not always the case
Bruno Milocchi
The only bad Sonic games are Boom and the game-gear games. And those don't have good music either. Your argument is invalid.
Der Speedrunner one name: sonic 07. Do i have to say anything else?
The real game of the year, RE7
Welcome to the family, son
I noticed the sound frequency matches the same range you can find in "sleep music" videos. Certain frequencies help calm you down. It makes sense for the safe rooms to have this for players, especially when things get overwhelming. Clever move, Capcom!
idk why but when i listen to this and close my eyes it takes me back to days that i miss but i never really understood i was missing them until i heard this and thought about them if that makes any since
Same for me man
That's called nostalgia
There's a word for that exact feeling lol. Nostalgia.
Will you lay down and wait to die, or will you fight against impossible and horrifying odds, even after everything has been taken from you?
I think this may actually be the theme of this game. Ethan pursues someone he thought was dead, and as soon as he finds her she’s more or less totally gone anyway. You get to the save room and it’s hard not to think “why should I even go back out there? What’s the point?” The only thing pushing you forward is the will to live and a glimmer of hope that maybe, somehow, the person you love will come back to you when reality is screaming and shouting at you that she cannot.
This game shows you that survival is, in itself, horror. Just insisting on living is the scariest thing you can do, but that’s what being alive is all about. You try to grasp onto people and things and tell yourself they give you the reason to keep fighting, but when those things fall apart or run away from you, you have to be brave and keep living until you can build it back up again and it’s scary being alone like that.
I think the lesson is you can find strength in being your own reason to keep going. Not that loving and depending on people and dreams makes you weak, but that inside you is something that you can always fall back on. Tldr you have to love yourself and fight for your own future even when it doesn’t seem like you have one
Bravo, that was very encouraging
😌❤️
Beautifully said. Genuinely one of the most coherent youtube comments I’ve seen, and I got to read it while listening to this masterpiece play in the background.
I think the main theme of 7 and 8 is family. In both the games, Ethan is going through hell for sake of his family while facing off against another family albeit, a gross distorted version of one. The idea is to have love for your family as a harmonic force that gets you going during loneliness and life's struggles. Both Eveline and Miranda tried to have that comfort but they ended up creating more sacrifices and destruction in name of family unlike Ethan who did the opposite by sacrificing himself for his wife and daughter.
@@xer0143 appreciate the love!
This theme really makes me feel sad for the Baker family...
Fr bruh the fact that they were genuinely nice people who just wanted to help a little girl but ended up killing themselves in the process is depressing asf
And to think hundreds, maybe thousands of people who have been infected by the Progenitor Virus, Queen Leech, T-virus, G-virus, NE-alpha parasite, Las Plagas, Ouroboros, C-virus, E-type Mold, Mutamycete, or the Cadou were mostly normal, nice people minding their businesses before being transformed into something else and end up getting killed by the main character.
The Bakers are some of a few villains in video games I take no pleasure in killing
@Megan Todd Is there a single person that actually liked or felt sorry for E-00 at all? I didn't. Regardless of its treatment (and it wasn't treated that badly) as an experiment, that doesn't justify its extreme cruelty and disregard for human life.

@@Nathan-Croft Play the game in VR on madhouse difficulty. It is truly a master piece. The game was a bit too easy on the regular difficulty without VR for me, but madhouse difficulty feels challenging and unique. It also makes the game a bit more frightening because you can't constantly save whenever you want to and there are little to no auto saves. Dying is punished. VR really puts this game over the top. I usually read a lot of books and play electronic games to be able to forget life in the vague moments, nights tend to be more difficult because my thoughts become more agitated and confused about what I lost in the past and what I will gain in the future.
Sorry for my bad English. I'm not an American, but I'm happy to know that someone so far away from me can empathize and help others deal with difficult times.
@Radical Larry I am from Brazil and I study English independently, one day I want to visit America to visit some cities like NY and Los Angeles. Keep it up, buddy, the world needs more kind and caring people like you, unfortunately I don’t have many friends outside the internet to talk and talk about the things I do so I make friends through games and social networks.
Nice to meet you on UA-cam.
Re7 got me back into the franchise. I remember being young and terrified to play the original directors cut of re1. Watched my dad play it multiple times. But I’m almost 30 now , I beat 2-3 remake and I’ve beaten this one 3 times or more, I think this is the most I’ve been excited for a sequel, (re8) I cannot wait to finish Ethans tragic story. Poor guy has gone through some shit
*On Madhouse*
“Okay, I’m ready to do this.”
*Leaves save room*
*Jack crashes through the kitchen wall*
Me: *Screaming as I’m running back to the laundry room*
I only played this game on VR when it came out, so hearing this theme after such a long time gives me such a strange feeling, like I was actually in that gross, terrifying world at some distant point in time, and my memory of it is just hazy. This game fucking rules bro.
*De Ja Vu?*
How it is a weird feeling that even though I have not yet played the game, it made me think and feel like I have.
This piece is just unexplainably dark yet serene.
002 I haven't play the game and I feel the same and sorry for my bad English
This if anything just makes me feel sad.
The Bakers deserved better.
Except maybe Lucas. I don't feel that he did.
randomlikings Lucas was the most troubled baker he was kinda of dick but still he was still a somewhat of a good person
@@Chayse9134 Uhhh.... he was psychotic before being infected. Do you not remember he trapped a boy who had bullied him at school in the attic, leaving him to starve to death? They said it in notes in the damn game. So no, he was not "somewhat of a good person" Lol
randomlikings so what he was still a good person man I saw the good in Lucas I still do
Chayse the streamer He murdered a kid. Horribly. If you see good in him... man, that’s says some interesting things about you. But whatever man, you do you I guess.
This music makes u know that the bakers we're a happy family, and now it is all lost, and only remains in a memory lost in time
nosferatu 507 Well THAT’s a depressing way of looking at it
Do you see a happier way to look at it?
Nosferatu 507 I agree with you.
Now the house bore screams, like the sculpter bears dust from the beating stone.
4 and 7 are some of favorite games ever, and to see 8 being an insane and creepy hybrid of the two has me so god damn hyped.
I most certainly 100% agree
I love this theme so much
Gamer210 Bestee same here 👍
i cry when i listen to it
Welcome to the Comments. You can stay here for as long as you'd like and collect yourself. But remember, you've got a job to do! So here's some cassettes to save your progress, a first aid med, some pistol ammo and a pat on the back. Keep it together, you're almost through this!
I got the platinum trophy
Nice! I got it, too, but haven’t got all the trophies from the DLCs :(
Im going through the trials of life rn and that really gave me the boost I needed yo. Thank you
Welcome to the comments, son!
This song makes you feel Empty, Lonely, Alone..
Who's here after RE8?
Robo-Knight TV it’s actually put me in the mood to finally record a whole let’s play on this game, watch this space 😉
Yea
Oh... 2017 was that long ago? Damn...
man it’s been half a decade since this game came out…
Really? I can't believe it! :)
@@gamemaster2638 yes!! me too
Yeah, ain't that something?
Knowing this while listening to this song just makes me feel like an old man living alone in an abandoned hut
I'm feeling old, dude... Even if i'm not
I know late to the party but I just picked up a Xbox one with this game and I have to say I'm having a good time with it I'm absolutely terrified and I love it god it feels so good to be scared by a resident evil game again
good now buy re 2 remake as well
@@JoseNunez600 I have it already I wanna finish 7 before I start the remake
The Evil Within games are absolutely terrifying. They're a must try
Yeah definitely the evil within series .. they both easily blow the resident evil franchise of the water ...
i love this, it feels like a small pocket of sparse comfort in a terrifying place. A candle in a pitch black room. Good for recovery after a horrible day in a long line of horrible days. There is a beautiful yet cold comfort to it I cant quite describe but I crave that feeling.
fine poetry to describe such a masterpiece like RE7. well done!
Resident Evil 7 is easily my favorite in the series, even if I’d say 4 is the best from a critical point of view.
The Bakers, the old-school gameplay and exploration, the genuinely horrific moments mixed with the insane camp from previous games, it all blends to make one of the best games of this generation in my opinion.
This was the start of CapGod’s return, and I’m so happy they’re back.
Yeah I absolutely love RE7 I made a in depth review of it on this Channel if you're interested in checking it out ?
Resident evil 7 is just perfect, I can't say why, but it is.
Ω SirFlank Boring Ω it’s not, but it’s great. The story is ok, it doesn’t need to be a mainline RE game. The enemy variety is shit. The enemies are boring and annoying. It’s very difficult to dodge around the molded because of the damage they do and how big they are. The zombies were built like you, but had arms reaching out and were terrifying in big groups, but the molded block every tight corridor(which there are many that have them), deal intense damage, and are bullet sponges. The puzzles are fine. The gameplay is great. The bosses are cool. The VHS tapes are cool the first time and annoying after that, but you don’t have to view them so it’s fine. I love RE7 and I think of it as a crazy ass retelling of RE1, but that’s just the feeling I get from it.
Make's me relaxed, sleepy. Also makes me think on how tragic this game's story is. What an amazing game, had a blast with it. Thanks, capcom.
Beautiful theme
"Calm before the war"
or during
This song made the safe room calm but also unsettling.
@Kyler Rodgers I wish I could give you a medal for that comment.
I love this so much, it's so relaxing.
I literally listened to this on loop for like three hours yesterday while I painted my Warhammer minis
Grimalkin Felidae awesome, 40K or Age of Sigmar ? 😄
@@jb2einziger Mortis Engine - can be used for either
I normally paint Death Guard but this one's for a competition
Grimalkin Felidae oh right awesome, I’ve got a couple small 40k boxsets personally, need to get back into the hobby though
This game came out right around the time the love of my life broke up with me. I can remember playing it alone during a heavy blizzard, feeling completely despondent. Flash forward a year and a half later, replaying this game with my brother and fighting back tears and hiding my feelings of intense grief from him when this theme kept coming up.
I hope you learn to associate this game and theme with something else than that break up. From my experience it never completely leaves you but it will kind of slowly fade away to a point where you will be once again able to enjoy RE7 (and life) without the grief and melancholic feelings. All the best.
you will get over it bro, stay strong!
Despondent.. I like the sound of that..
I know how you feel dude trust me, the love of my life that I was dating for 2 years dumped me back in January and to this day the pain still lingers in my conscience. I've learned to go about my day but the memories follow me around like a curse I loved her so much but she wasn't the one that's what I keep telling myself, no matter how much I thought of the good times we've shared
