My girlfriend asked me what the big deal is about video game/movie soundtracks and I had her listen to this. She said it was one of the most hypnotizing pieces of music she's ever heard and that it had her reflecting on her past. I'd say that's a win.

@@TheDisturbingPanda damn! I'm glad that im not the one that really love this game so much! Idk even this music had sad vibe i just can't stop hearing it. Feels like i want to go through re 7 world and chill on baker state with this music lol 😂
No kidding. Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, RE7, Destiny 2, Cuphead, NieR: Automata, Hollow Knight, The Evil Within 2, Nioh, Fortnite, Night in the Woods, Sonic Mania, Wolfenstein 2, and more that I'm probably forgetting. Now, I'm not gonna pretend that every one of those games is one that we'd enjoy, but it definitely felt like there was an explosion of critically acclaimed or satisfying games in most genres that year. Even games I didn't play, I still know they have a growing audience and references to some of those through memes. Even if I don't play some of those games, I can't deny how popular they were in their genre, not to mention how much Fortnite became a HUGE cash cow for Epic Games. It's kind of funny how 2017 is already six years ago, and some of those games already feel nostalgic to us. I also can't deny that I played RE7 way later in 2021 after my brother gave me his PS4 (he got a PS5). Playing through it on VR gave me memories of watching him play and being too scared even for that, but I ended up getting platinum on that game because I loved it so much, even the other game modes. Goodness, I wish more games could give me that same feeling from playing RE7 again.
From re 1 till 4 the vibes were amazing . Then re 5,6 they messed it up and 7 was a great come back .! So it’s not only 7 with the great vibes but the others as well ( re 1 ---->4)
I love listening to this while driving the highway around 12am to 4am. Going through the empty towns at this time, it eases my mind to think about empty spaces that are usually busy. Anyways, anyone else get that feeling of emptiness?
YES. Emptiness describes it perfectly. And I have so many weird/good/bad memories attached to this game and I remember listening to this song and it just takes me back. It's like a hopeless sorta nostalgia vibe, can't quite describe it
This game does such a good job at making you feel alone, trapped and scared, yet with the feeling of something lurking, watching. And this music replicates that feeling so well.
this music make high sensitivity for like empty world, sadness, too much alone, i am in past, making brains relaxing but thinking so alone. mean it make brane relax and increase thinking but so alone or sadness but not hurt, its depends on your thinking.
The music alone scares me. But to more lightening, this music is like a way to remind you of the past of Resident Evil prior to the new era. Starting from fixed camera angle, low poly, and terrible but funny acting from Resident Evil 1 to 3. Then the over the shoulder and quips but still creepy Resident Evil 4, the action heavy and boulder punching adventures from Resident Evil 5 and 6. The somewhat return to form of the Revelations games which marked the end so far of our favorite characters who were there at the beginning. Then Resident Evil 7: biohazard came around as a true return to form through actually new eyes and view of first person and is more terrifying than the originals to me.
Currently in the gym listening to this. Metal music does it some days, but on dark days this helps. Times to reflect and push through the dredge of vulnerability and failure. Bittersweet. Love RE7s music.
I've gain nothing but tears and sorrows, my life has come to an end. I am just a soul trapped in a fracture of a fake reality awaiting nothing but death and pain, again and again.
Nah I disagree, it sounds too empty, lonely, and hopeless to be a save room theme. RE save room themes are supposed to provide a little bit of hope to the player that they'll get through this, this music provides the opposite.
God remember you no idea what was going on as you try to frantically escape from jack when you finally do and enter the first safe room you think I have time maybe I can do This and then you exit and enter the garage and lose all hope of survival
