I just had my biggest heartbreak so far in FM. I found a wonderkid with very good potential from San Marino, was about to buy him but then he decleared for the Czech Republic.
Well that sucks, also how bizarre than he was Czech as well, i'd have figured Italy

I found an Andorran wonderkid on a previous FM, Had a 5m release clause in Spain but Manchester United being a much bigger side swooped in and signed him before loaning him to me for 2 seasons after which i paid 44m to sign him simply because He was Andorran

Not that i know.
If his current ablity is ok he may get a Cap early - especially since malta will not have huge pool to select from. That said the AI will generally select reputation over potential, so is not great at doing this.
When i have been international manager of a lower ranked national team in the past a number of players have turned down a call up if they have duel nationality for a higher ranked team. I did eventually get them to agree but it took literally years.
I think the fact that he's a keeper should help, as he's more likely to get those Malta caps young and less likely to get into the Italian pecking order so you should be safe i'd say

So basically, because Fm is a bit silly, i believe it's taking into account their form in the domestic league lol Which makes no sense, but i fairly sure that's what is going on

Exactly, if you don’t have your competitors loaded as playable, it’s a pointless experiment.
How do you simulate seasons on fm23
Click on the date/calender at the top right and then go on holiday and select how long you wish your holiday to be and that's all there is to it mate. Hope this helps.
