An interesting idea would be a Champions League where you could pnly win once. So all the previous winners are barred, then as soon as someone wins, they are barred. So after 10-20 years, there'd be some random teams getting to finals.
And then you could have a Champions League Champions League for the winners of the CL.
Hapoel Hadera couldn't win against a team of 80 year olds, funny how they won this somehow
חחחחח
לול
תגידו שאני טועה 😂😂
Wtf hapoel hadera I’m from beer Sheva hadera
Craggy island
Honestly Leicester Nirvana sounds like a band that plays Nirvana and Kasabian songs.
2:43 I IMMEDIATELY had to look up which team was named after Haagen Dazs ice cream. Somebody set up a friendly with Cadbury Athletic from England and we could have the sweetest game of football ever.
The most original FM channel in the world? they say theres a fine line between genius and insanity.... 😂 whatever it is, i am here for it
Yeah, let's go Henriksdalsberget FF!
They're currently playing in the Swedish Division 6 Stockholm D. (The 8th tier of Swedish football.)
Halfway into the season (it's spring / autumn in Sweden) they're two points behind the league leaders but they do have a game in hand so they might very well get back-to-back promotions.
Clapton's The Old Spotted Dog Ground is London's oldest senior football ground.
Clapton actually get some decent following too - bit of a cult/hipster club who sold thousands of their No Pasaran away shirt a few years back. ✌
Another weird fact about Clapton, if you ask an Alexa what its favourite football team is, it actually says Clapton Community FC
Yeah, there are a few unaffiliated football academies in England. Villa signed Jaden Philogene from "Pro:Direct Academy" into our U21 team. I guess they're in the game data so that player history works properly for people like him.
This is incredible, at the start of the video I thought this is one of those things where a team like Tottenham manage to sneak in and somehow secure a trophy
and sure enough they did
I have played against Elburton Villa every season that I played football pretty much in some way, whether its youth sides or B teams!
Cove thistle play at "Catto Park" - big fan.
Also, Darvel are tier 6 (west of scotland premier division) and knocked Aberdeen out of the Scottish cup two seasons ago
5:38 last year Darvel famously knocked Aberdeen out of the Scottish Cup
The Vaduz challenge just got a lot easier.
I believe Pick Up Academy are a youth only team that is basically a post 16 education college that plays football and allows students to study. The article I read referenced Max Kilman off Wolves and West Ham as previous player/student but I can't seem to confirm that anywhere else
23:14 there is a guy down in 2030/31 with 29 goals which looks to be the record
It’d be fun to do this with enormous prize money at every stage. So a team would luck into the tournament and then potentially become a powerhouse or get some promotions.
USV Gnas, who won, is an Austrian 5th tier club, even with completely random opponents that is impressive
Wendron United! From Cornwall! One of their teams plays on a pitch that's basically a banana!
Wendron Cricket Club play in a bowl as well
As a Dutch I saw two second tier teams being thrown out quickly. Also I saw one in a very low amateur league as well. Both second tier teams have played in the first tier sometimes though.
Elburton Villa's badge looks like a premium cheese spread triangle. Class act.
I'm a bit behind on the Malta shenanigans but I always come back for more editor weirdness! Keep them coming.
Darvel FC are my local club! they are currently last in the greenversity premier division and haven't won a game yet
Very odd coincidence that I mentioned going to the Dog and Duck in Plucks Gutter to my mum just yesterday. I've been several times being just down the road in Margate, it has a pretty big beer garden which gets a lot of sun
Izarra from Lizarra-Estella. Hilarious 😂. They are in the fourth tier, but they have been in the third tier when it was called Segunda división B.
18:15 osnabruck are from germany :)
I haven’t been watching a ton of FM recently but this is absolutely hilarious, well done Matto
In first minutes is Lokomotiv Zvolen and this city (Zvolen) is 40km away from my home (Iam from Slovakia for those who dont know where this city is) and in season 48/49 is Košice, in 54/55 is Petržalka, in 68/69 is Zlate Moravce and mutch more in this video. I love to see our teams in youtube videos like this and i hope some of our teams can somethimes win som european trophy in real life. Love from Slovakia🖤
I would be interested to see the European competitions, but clubs winning their prelim round inherit the players of the team they just defeated, potentially snowballing teams from Lithuania and Gibraltar to an actually decent enough starting XI to be competitive in the group stages.
You could say Olimpia Grudziądz were destined to win the Olympia League
wsm rel
Thank you very much for adding teams from Russia to the update. It was nice to see in the video teams that are dear to my heart and soul: Dynamo-2 Kirov, Olimpik Novaya Usman and FC Orel
i don’t know how to explain it but you look like a wallace and gromit character
Osnabruck is 2nd/3rd tier of Germany. 2nd tier in FM24, relegated again at the end of the season I think.
Thank you I‘m from Osnabrück and got a bit angry 😂
You know, since you created the logo for the video, it would've been nice if you'd created a smaller one for the game to use.
As for ideas for future videos, this was chaos, but that Aston Villa season gave me a bit of an idea. Once you've done a couple more of these, do one database that has all these competitions enabled, see what the most fixture congestion we can get is.
2049/50 in the save a team from scotland called uncle bobs made the group stage and at one point a team called stone dominos made group stage should check out thier stadium
Grew up in Kimberly for the first few years of my life!!
Me and my brother have played many a rainy game against Wendron in Cornwall. Our local side are in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division West.
7:05 Fun fact, SC Union 06 Berlin has history linking it to Union Berlin of the Bundesliga. As SC Union Oberschöneweide, in 1950 during the Cold War they were bannned from playing in the German Football Championship, so SC Union 06 was founded in West Germany, with SC Union Oberschöneweide later turning into the Union we know.
Olympia League Champions, you'll never sing that!
20:35
WTF
A match in the 2073/74 season ended 10-7
How is that even possible?
7:55 The youth team of Dynamo Kirov (not to be confused with Kiev) in the group H, it's funny
Rhoon is actually a village nearby from where I live 💀
SVN 69 is also Dutch
I would love to see this applied in North America. Imagine El Farolito or Vermont Green having to square up against Club America. That'd be fun.
My Brother trained with Leicester Nivarna once and ended up playing against them for Ashby Ivanhoe
Make it a random draw of every top flight team that didn't make it to any European competition and have it be a straight up knockout tournament for max chaos.
Elburton Villa is local club in plymouth but no one ever Hears of anything from the actual team but I'm lucky enough to have been able to play on the pitch that they use for their league matches
5:18 "There's still actually no new teams that are in recognisable leagues that have been thrown in here just yet"
Literally on that page is Maccabi Petah Tikva, current Israeli cup champions and a team actually playing in Europe this season from a half respectable league. They did lose 7-0 on aggregate to Braga in the Europa League qualifiers this year but they are still in conference league qualifiers. Of course, on that page they still managed to lose their tie to Elimai, but they're also a 1st division Kazakh side so it's not too disappointing
Your friendly neighborhood geography/linguistics nerd here with some minor corrections:
Osnabruck is in NW Germany, in fact
"y" isn't exclusively a consonant in English (and other languages, though it will depend obviously, in some it might be only one or the other), it is both a vowel and a consonant depending on the context, so the "y" in "Qyzyljar" is in fact a vowel
Also I thought FC Van would actually be from the city of Van in modern-day Turkey, but no, it appears that they're from a random city in Armenia (so not Yerevan as you said), presumably next to lake Van?
Anyway not meaning to be pedantic or anything, I just think you're exactly the type of guy who finds this kinda random facts interesting :P
It's also tied to derby
Who comes up with these ideas cos I really enjoy playing these databases for some relief
Hannover 96 winning a title brings tears to my eyes
Did a Latvian save on PS5. Love the fact that three Latvian clubs made finals, but sadly no Valmiera (the club I used)
Fun fact about Darvel is that they knocked Aberdeen out of the Scottish cup in 22/23 whilst being in the 6th division.
This is amazing! I have a few thoughts.
Is there a way you could include proper UCL prize money and allocate it to teams so we can see the impact? At least maybe for the English leagues? Would be amazing to see if Basildon Town could progress up the leagues with all the UCL money they'd be given. I would also love to see how all this randomness impacts nation coefficients, but I guess that's not possible.
Anyway to create a tournament like this, but on a global scale?
Bearing in mind how small the official leagues are, I am surprised I only saw 3 Welsh teams. Cardiff Airport, Llanrhaeder and Cardiff Met.
Would have thought that there would have been much more
My favourite has to be the final between the Cypriot side Othellos Athienou and Moldavian side Zimbru Chisinau
Do this, but give every team in the world max money, a sugar daddy, and perfect facilities. Don't increase reputation or it will literally be random (since greyed out players will be OP)
Also lets go Clapton CFC
As a Standard Liège fan 😂😂😂,Patro Eisden are a Belgian 2nd tier team that lost in the promotion play-offs last year
I'm a Deinze fan, I hate the playoff system here.
Not being in it, the last day of regular season was so Fricking exciting.
@@HistoricFootballz This season is our season, if we don't get promoted I will lose hope
21:24 I did a save with that club on 21 and seeing them in a video here made me scream 😂😂 Forza Podbrezova🇸🇰
De graafschap are usually a top flight team in the Netherlands and losing to a Liechtensteinian team is really crazy
Darvel are from the West of Scotland premier, couple of divisions below league 2 and Cove Thistle from the Aberdeenshire AFA premier division, it's basically an amateur league.
My fave thing about. the FA Cup is when a non league team gets a prem team and they play in a field
Does prize money still get given in this? I wonder what the effect 40mil does to these random non league teams
Definitely interestimg and deserving its own video - what if the FA Trophy and EFL Trophy had enourmous prize money for example
ive seen leicster nirvana play this season, im not even joking
in my long term journeyman, Sheff Wed are a top 6 team regularly
Nice
only 7 clubs in liechtenstein, excluding second/third teams :) hopefully vaduz get promoted again.
This is like Dwarf Fortress for football nerds.
Feel like a Champions League but only from relegated sides would be great, not sure how that would work in game though…
5:10 don't worry people from there are usually unintelligible to understand. So they had it coming
Grew up very near Stotfold. Mid beds representing
i reffed kimberly's game today haha
Reverse the coefficients for example England swap with San Marino, Italy with Gibraltar, etc
Imagine leaving the airport to face your welsh opponents, only to find that your opponents ARE the airport
FC Van badge looks familiar - See Levante?
For the first match in the championship. We will have Boreham Wood, of Englands Vanarama National Leagie South. Facing FC Barcelona out of LaLiga
Up the Blyth Town, theyre my local
FC Van is Arsenal's badge with different colours
Could you do a champions league cross with a world cup so like a world cup (with qualification) with one club from every country thats a member of FIFA? Might be too out there lol
OOO ZAGŁĘBIE OOO SOSNOWIEC
Do wszystkich polaków: jak?!
Vaduz with 3 separate 100+ goal seasons is mad
i live like 10 km from Grudziądz so it was fun hearing your pronauciantion
The team from Cyprus that I did a BAN with last year(Anagenesis Deryneia) made it in!(To the third qualifying round but oh well)
as a Sheffield Wednesday fan, I approve of this video
Champions League which would play only champions of national championships
Not the Blyth team I was expecting but REPRESENT!
Fleet Services are amazing! Id live there if I could
I don’t know if it is possible but I would find it interesting if you would put the new champions league format as the World Cup format.
Eastbourne Borough my hometown losing a final!
Delightful and entertaining madness.
I literally live 10 mins away from stotfold lmao, most if my friends live there
I love this, however what's the reason to copy the actual Champions League format for this. Why not just take 1 random club from each league (or 2) and then do put some of them in a quali so you get 32 but so that's it's essentialy truely random
ZAGLEBIEEEEEEEEE!!!! SOSNOWIECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC LMAO
jak?!
Big up King’s Lynn, where I’m commenting from
Mon the Killie!! ⚪️🔵⚪️🔵😁😁
Wouldn’t even be the weirdest trophy Kilmarnock have competed in. 😂
Grudziadz pronounced surprisingly well xD
yeah Matt did a save in Poland before, and he genuinely tries to pronounce all the stuff well in any language, probably the best football-related UA-camr for that
My Wisła Kraków friend said its funny to see foreigners react to polish.
There's a club named KSZO 1929 Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski
Düsseldorf mentioned 🎉🎉
19:57 that's 18 years👀
SYC meet-up in Plucks Gutter who says no
Wolfsberger AC is Austrian also, was there any Northern Irish teams
Is there even a way to add the "swiss style" groups to tournaments in FM?
Leicester Nirvana mentioned !!!
U the donny winning it in the 2048/49 season
Wendron Untied woop Cornwall represents (i have refereed them a few times)
