Bake unripe bananas at 350F for about 10 minutes (or until black). Preheat oven to 425F. Flour 180g Sugar 150g Cinnamon 1 teaspoon Baking powder 1 teaspoon Baking soda 1 teaspoon Salt 4g Banana 1.5 cups Melted butter 0.5 cups Room temperature eggs 2pcs Vanilla 1 teaspoon Add wet into the dry. Bake at 425F for 5 minutes. Reduce to 350F and bake for another 15 minutes.
I just made these as 6 jumbo muffins. I left them in the 425-degree oven for 8 minutes and then continued to bake them at 350 for another 20 minutes or so. I added some chopped pecans to the batter and cut sugar slightly to 1/2 cup. They are divine, like all of John’s recipes ❤️
1 1/2 cups flour 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp baking soda and powder 3/4 tsp salt 1tsp ground cinnamon Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 1/2 cup banana 2 eggs room temp 1 tsp vanilla 425- 5 min then 350- 15 mins
@@yinetquezada7072 You can substitute the baking powder with about 1/2 cup yogurt and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Or instead of yogurt, do 1/2 teaspoon vinegar. Idk how it would turn out but if you do these, you might wanna slightly reduce the liquid ingredients in the recipe to keep the same consistency.
I love how you explain why you should/shouldn’t do certain things while baking. Ingredients not being at room temperature sounds like it’s why I have had some trouble with recipes in the past, so thank you for the explanation. And I am glad you made this video just when I needed to use up my last three bananas 😁
I just made these muffins and hands down the best muffins I have ever had in my life! I follow all of your muffin recipes, but this one is my favorite. I can’t believe I ever bought muffins from the shops when these are way better. I also added toasted walnuts and it just took these muffins to a whole new level! Thank you for this recipe!!!💙

Hi John. Thank you for the recipe. I am a banana lover. Must have it every day. The muffins were fluffy. I used whole wheat flour and brown sugar instead.. I added a little nutmeg, amaretto and choped peanuts to your recipe. Delicious.

My son has celiac and we don’t like toi sweet, so I used whole oat flour and cut a half of sugar. They came out so moist and delicious. Thanks again for all your good recipes! ❤️
These are the best muffins I’ve had!! I did make a couple little changes. I toasted about 18 pecans and chopped them then mixed them in. I was out of eggs. Banana is a great egg substitute but I also added about a 1/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk to make up for the moister the eggs would have added.

Do they turn out moist or more on the dry side?
@@xArshyy in between i used less banana tho and added a bit or milk they where airy but also not like a cake (my baking powder was a bit old also)
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking soda and powder
3/4 tsp salt
1tsp ground cinnamon
Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup banana
2 eggs room temp
1 tsp vanilla
425- 5 min then
350- 15 mins
Note to self: 1/2 teaspoon of table Salt if not using kosher Salt.
Bless both of you
Thank you!

Made these a few days ago, they were so light and fluffy! Loved the tips on room temperature and ripening bananas, thank you so much for sharing such an easy recipe ❤️
Made them and turned out pretty amazing it’s actually my second time making banana muffins or any kind of muffins. Never baked anything in my life.
