Fantastic first car for any young driver, can be modified on the cheap aswell and have a great wee following aswell, the gti version is a right wee weapon
My first car was a dark green 1.4 S. I loved it, mine had a few intermittent issues, and the electronics went possessed in the end. It was pretty refined, and the rake of the car made it surprisingly roomy. The pop out back windows are adorable
The massive door was heavy af lol. Couldn't help chipping it trying to squeeze out in a garage tho. And it gave me muscle memory to slam other people's car doors embarrassingly violently
Just bought a Suzuki swift sport 1.6 ZC31S as my first car and it’s so fun for bashing around b roads, handles great and sounds great too 🖤, just wanted something a little different from clios corsas and fiestas. Think they’re all great cars but I wanted something a little different
I'm 19 and was looking at these things for my first car when I was 17. Tried to get my bike into one and couldn't fit it in. Only reason I didn't get it, was gutted as I bloody love them. Ended up with a Clio 2 1.6 and was a joy.
I have a 2005 1 litre Lupo, with manual gearbox and wind-up windows, and have done just under 43 k miles, being the only owner from new. I like the body style with round(ish) headlights, the basic features and overall compactness. Apart from a collision with a rock on the road which necessitated a new front sub frame, the only major wear fault was replacement of the corroded power steering line from the fluid pump about 2 years ago. The exhaust emission light is now showing there may be a small problem, but it continues to run well and the bodywork is in sound condition. Before this, I had two Polos (not at the same time). I've heard that the UP! model is being discontinued at the end of 2023. Does the name come from the middle two letters of Lupo?
great video. Just had the opportunity of a 1.4 Lupo come up. anyone know how they are for repairs these days in the UK? im 90% sold on it but dont want to go into a garage in six months to be told they cant find parts anymore
Got one for sale if interested. 1.7 SDI (non turbo=NO PROBLEMS 😁) Cheap insurance (I pay around £40/month) £35/ YEAR ROAD TAX Full tank of fuel cost me £38 and I do in between 295-350 miles 🤷♂️ Absolutely love this little toy.
this is not exactly economical, unless it's a diesel. it uses as much petrol as my previous 328i, give or take. but they are cool super mini's and I think they're a darling to live with, day to day, city use.
I just bought myself a 1.4 Lupo as my first ever car, and I'm so excited
I just bought my first Lupo 1.4... and I'm 51... and i got the same feeling you got with this kind of cars 🙂
That sounds great, how much gas do you use for every 100km?

I hear you Jamie. I remember around 2001 cruising around in my 1.1 mk3 Fiesta and being so jealous of the guys in their 1.3 Nova SRs!

I’ve got a Lupo gti, if you take the back seats out you can fit two bikes in the back with you and a passenger comfortably
One of the fun car you can ever drive
Stop apologising Jamie lad! I just bought a 42k 05 1.4 for my daughter and I’m a little bit in love with the Lupo, they are awesome 🙌🏻

Don't buy a lupo... buy a polo 6n2 instead... it's literally the same car but it has a bigger trunk.
I had the Arosa 1.4 and I still don't know why I changed it... 🥲
