that weird squeaking sound is something rubbing on the heat-shield where the backbox joins the center pipe, had the same sound on mine

Are AC fitted 1,4 uncommon? My swedish one is fitted with AC, maybe it was cost option.

it was an optional extra from factory. no model came with it as standard (including the GTI) and cost extra. i cant find how much extra it cost
