    Episode 3 brings a rain of tears from both the male and female contestants. Grant pushes these people harder than we’ve seen in any other episode. Where would you draw the line? Would you do what these contestants did? Some of them risk being sent back to their home country. One risks losing their home and their children. Grant also shows his compassionate side when faced with a reminder of where he came from and the bottom that he hit before rising to become the most recognised sales trainer of his era.
    The * on the episode title denotes cry babies.

    My response to selling the water or myself would've been, "Well,essentially me and the water are one in the same. In the wise words of Bruce Lee 'you put water in a cup it becomes the cup; you put water in a tea pot it becomes the tea pot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.' I can adapt to any personality and commit people to my pace. Just like the body needs water; your company would benefit from me. I am an asset; not a liability."

    I am a little confused. In episode 1 Grant rejected the teacher because she had the "idea" to throw the rug over the balcony. However, Kyle actually does throw the carpet over the balcony yet he is given a sales oppurtunity. I understand the liability but an idea has never hurt anyone it's the action you end up taking that gets you sued.

    What I do not understand... is why none of these job applicants took the time to research and prepare for these interviews? The process is online 3 times at this point! Once the first video of this process was posted - and the "routine" exposed - they should have had plans for each eventuality and KNOWN what answers were being sought. For example - the choices between selling the glass of water and an elevator speech could been rehearsed and video recorded 100 times beforehand to perfect BOTH. They could have profited immensely from observing the mistakes made by other previous applicants! Most seem unaware of what the company actually does, what the job might entail or what the requirements of this style of interview might entail BEFORE applying...

    • @fletcherpersinger5102
      @fletcherpersinger5102 5 років тому +3

      To be Honest I had that Issue as well. Long ago I ran away from home and our family business. Now BAM im in the real world with real financial problems and I need to support myself. For 2 months I kept applying for so many jobs all over the place. But I had no response no calls and then in those 2 months my money I saved got spent then I was broke and homeless. Worst and best thing that ever happened to me. 2 weeks into being homeless I had a reply for one of the applications this was my first interview ever and was for a night stocker Job for Ross. But I was unprepared for the interview and i didnt know what to do. The moment I left I realised that I was a awful at that interview. I already had the Vibe I wasnt going to be hired. But I was desperate and hungry for any Job and I was determined to make my next interview the best it can be. So I would get wifi at a local McDonalds or Library and research via UA-cam how to present myself. Then when the next company called and set up a date for an interview. I researched everything I can about the Company and tailored how to sell myself to them. And because I was so well prepared I went in with confidence and because I was homeless I had that whatever it takes spirit. Literally 20min after I left from the Interview they called me up and said I got the Job. Morale of the story is sometimes you never know that the worst things in Life can bring out your greatest strengths. The hardship I went through made me realize that if you take ownership and are willing to research, prepare and work hard you can go far and accomplish anything.

      I agree. I don't see a problem in someone *temporarily* having a 9-5 job working for someone else and getting $$, but the key is obviously *temporarily* working for someone else until you get enough money to make your own business and then be your own boss; build that business up high enough to then make another business and create multiple flows of income as Grant says too.

And the other person said well I'd like to have $100,000. Grant is the only one I've ever heard say that he's pulling for someone because they're hungry and desperate. And the rest of his staff that wanted to get rid of that poor lady that was going to get evicted and lose her 3 kids to foster care- He should fire all of them.

    I'd start for free, just to absorb the know-how from this man and his team! I just want commissions, not salary. I would like to prove that I can make money based on skill, not sitting on my butt.

    You can be lucky but it's what you do with that "luck" that gets you places. He clearly kept working for it. And when you get to that point, that's clearly no longer luck.

    I have some moral quandaries with this. Grant was so worried about being lied to, but that begging segment was essentially lying to everyone that they begged for money. There's so many moral issues.

    I would sell the water by selling myself. Because who's gonna sell the water? Me or the water itself? Water's an inanimate object. lol

    What does it take to get the opportunity to show you what I have to offer? Seeing some of the contestants on these episodes, they look like they were selected off the street. I'm surprised some of them had "Whatever It Took" to show up to see you. It's nice to see how you shape people though. Keep it up!
