  • The job market is so tough today. You are being told no one is hiring but that is just not true. Yes, it is more difficult but if you are committed to getting a good job and are creative and use proven strategies not only can you get the job you want but you can get it quickly. I have been working with entrepreneurs, businesses and Fortune 500 companies for 25 years. I know what they want to hear, I know how to approach them, get in front of them and SELL them. Use these employment strategies and I guarantee you that you will get the job you want, the pay you want and get it within 36 hours. Unemployment should not be an option for you. Don't believe that you are entitled to it because you have worked so hard for so many years. Taking employment for any longer than a couple of weeks will hurt you and your family in the future. Get a job.
    Target companies you want to work for not entire industries, avoid the HR departments and social media instead get in front of decision-makers. Use Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and LinkedIn to target who you want to work for, who is hiring, and who you need to see but leave getting the jobs to these KILLER proven tips on how to get a job. You can use the job search assistance, monster.com, a career builder, craigslist, newspaper, the ladders, a staffing agency but at the end of the day getting the dream job will result in what you do to get in front of the right person and then sell that person that you are the right person.
    Do NOT rely on resumes they ruin interviews. When you are being interviewed make sure you are selling and saying those things that executives most admire and also avoid saying those things executives hate to hear in a job interview.

    1. Stay away from the idea of unemployment.
    2. Believe that you are going to get a job. Your new job is to get a new job.
    3. Be willing to take a job even though it is beneath you.
    4. Ignore people who say that no one is hiring.
    5. Do not rely on a resume.
    6. Avoid depending entirely on headhunters and recruitment agencies.
    7. Do not rely on human resource departments. They are the filters, not decision makers.
    8. Do not rely on social media.
    9. During the interview, focus on the future.
    10. Constantly sell yourself throughout the interview. Over promise, Over commit, and over sell.
    11. During the interview, show them that you're capable of increasing the company's revenue.
    12. NEVER speak negatively about your previous boss.
    You're welcome!

    Mr. Grant Cardone, I sincerely thank you for the tips you offered which has help me land a new and better job! I watched this video before the day of a group interview, right before bed time and then the next morning in the gym. The main things I used were the "what can you offer as a future employee" and I threw in the word "Revenue" towards the end. As a side note, a coworker I dislike actually applied and was in the group interview, he actually said we worked together and tried to download talk me in front of the recruiters, but I remained focused. Later that day, I heard he got a rejection email, and the next day I was offered the job! oh and lastly we had a 30 sec elevator speech and they never asked us about, but I was ready thanks to you!

    This isnt how to get a dream job you will enjoy, this is how you will get any old job that may or may not lead you to a dream job. You need to go after what you want, confidence and persistance is key. As soon as you settle, you actually harm your self-worth and train your subconscious to believe that you dont have enough value. Network and surround yourself with people who hold positions you want. Emulate them. You become the 5 ppl you most surround yourself with, so keep that in mind.

    • @YourMajesty143
      @YourMajesty143 10 років тому +12

      Yes, I speak from experience. Once you're in a job, you become complacent. You're just glad to have a paycheck. Soon, you lose the energy & motivation, even forgetting what the original goal was. Not literally forgetting, but our minds become too focused on the current job that we lose sight of what we truly want. Not following your dreams & disregarding your intuition leaves a heavy weight on the mind & heart. You keep telling yourself, "I'll quit as soon as I save X amount of dollars or reach X position in the company". But it becomes a trap, b/c the money never feels like it's enough & the position puts too much responsibility or guilt to leave. It's something to think about.

    • @selenarose8463
      @selenarose8463 10 років тому +4

      YourMajesty143 Did you stop listening? Did you miss the last like four tips? All you have to do is see it to completion. If you get complacent and give up it's your own fault, and if you can't change your attitude to be more positive and actually prepare to sell yourself to a company you choose to target it's because you've given up. You can't just settle- but the fact is that finding the perfect job will require some sacrifice, including financial, that is most likely to happen when properly funded. Leaving the job force for more than a short period of time can seriously impact

      wooww..thats the best reply i have read period on this video..and thats soo true..fake it till you make it..

    • @YourMajesty143
      @YourMajesty143 10 років тому +1

      ***** I watched the whole video. It's not about being complacent by choice. There aren't enough hours in the day to work just any job & go after your dreams simultaneously. Pursuing a dream is a full-time job all by itself. It can take a toll on you if you put that on an already full plate.. It then becomes a matter of convenience to just hold off on pursuing your dreams so as to not hinder the energy & focus away from succeeding at your current job. I felt that this video was focused mostly on showing you how to take anything you can get & be happy that you're at least making money. However, a secure job & a dream job are two different things. And so my issue isn't so much the video, as it is the misleading title.

    • @ronniejones2991
      @ronniejones2991 10 років тому +2

      Definitely..its a ok video until he starts telling you to surpess ambition and settle for a hanky dank job..when in fact its harder to connect with ppl who are where u wanna be because they would underestimate your ability because of what you settled for..

    Hey Grant I watched this video about a week ago and after I watched it I put out some resumes out on Craig's List and got some pretty postive repsonses. I had 3 job offers in the first week and decided to take the one that didn't pay real well but my hours are 1-8pm. So obviously having mornings free I can continue to intervew for jobs I really want. Just taking the job, and starting, I feel like a worthy person again. My confidence is back and I know that other job is right around the corner. Just wanted to say thanks for you help and also would like to know which of your sales materials I should get started with first. I have a long ways to go to be at your level. Thanks in advance for the recommendations. Jay Speck

      ***** I don't think you get to be a doctor-which takes years of education-by reading 'The Secret'. I'll admit, it's an intriguing book, but learning chemistry and anatomy and microbiology etc., isn't going to happen by any 'laws of attraction' or focusing on drawing what you want to 'come to you'. it's going to take a commitment to hard work... and probably a lot of $$ to pay for the education.

    I disagree with this guy. You can get unemployment that your employer paid into (instead of paying you) while you look for a job. It barely covers your basic necessities, but it doesn't prevent you from getting a job.

    • @deatonjr
      @deatonjr 10 років тому +7

      This is the one thing I disagree with in the video. Unemployment benefits exist so that tip #1, "take a job that is beneath you", is unnecessary. That way, you CAN afford the time for a focused job search into a position that matches your skills.

    • @rockermanpre747
      @rockermanpre747 10 років тому

      Daniel Eaton Jr Oh really have you every lived on a benefit??? If so you will know you cant afford to pay bills or eat on a benefit its either one or the other but not both!

    • @amberview30
      @amberview30 10 років тому +4

      Well, yes, I collected unemployment while looking for a job in 2004 for about 4 months. It helped me pay my rent. I did have savings, but could have ended up in a cbb. I had an interview nearly every day. You can't live on the "benefit". That is not the point. It's supposed to keep a person from ending up on the street while looking for a job. Unemployment is a tax that is paid into by your employer for you. If they didn't have to pay this tax, perhaps you would get paid more, but that's another argument.

      I got one of my best jobs while I was collecting unemployment, HOWEVER, back in those days (the eighties) unemployment REQUIRED that you proved you were looking for a job. So what I did was go from office to office dropping off my resume with the front desk and getting a signature on the unemployment form to be mailed in so that I could get my check every week. After about 2 to 3 weeks I got a call for an interview and I had 2 interviews with a good company. I got the job making $25K, this was back in 1985 and it was good money back in those days. I was an assistant to a Vice President. It's important to keep looking for a job and to sell yourself in the interview. This video has some great advice!

    Grant all these things you say are great...but when someone gets laid off unexpectedly and suddenly and have no savings and need to pay bills and feed their children...One can't just turn down unemployment...Unemployment barely pays and a lot of times has to be supplemented with food stamps and no, jobs just don't come around or happen the very next day...Unless the person has great connections or friends willing to hire them...So all though this may work for you...It doesn't work for millions of people...I'm a very Positive person...But my positive thinking and self can't manifest a job for someone I love or care about that is out of work...Even if they have a Bachelor's Degree and 30 years of business management experience! :))
