GoT was my first 100% ever, so I definitely shared your experience of needing more of that game like I never felt with any other game. I'm sad to see Jin go too, but I'm sure they will continue GoT's tradition of telling tales and Legends, and Jin is the perfect candidate. I can even hear the story now about how "some say he killed lord shimura, and some say he spared him, and he spent the rest of his days in shame and isolation." Keeping both endings potentially Canon. I'm sure Jin's shadow will loom over this whole new game.

I’m honestly most excited for the different weapons to use, as the combat was already so good in Tsushima. While not continuing Jin’s story is disappointing to me, I understand, and I trust Sucker Punch to deliver another amazing story surrounding our new protag. So yeah I’m hyped!
Maybe the third installment of this game series will return to Jin and continue his story! I think we would all go CRAZY to see him and lord shimura go up against the shogunate.
Shimura (most likely) wouldn't go against the Shogunate when he was willing to kill Jin despite seeing him as his son. Jin wouldn't really have any reason to go against the Shogunate himself. He took the path of the ghost to protect his home. It had nothing to do with any personal conflicts with the shogunate. He could go after them purely because he is being hunted by them, but that would be a superficial and not very compelling reason imo. I think Jin went through a complete character arc and is completely fine to leave GOT as a self-contained story that leaves the final decision in the players hands.

Shimura has two options now, either continue to be a slave to his honor and likely be forced to commit seppeku (or however you spell it) or join forces with Jin. As far as Jin I know he would get tired of being hunted and with the second Mongol invasion he would have a reason to go to the mainland.
I believe this is not the end of Jins' story but rather a world building game and an expansion of the IP. I certainly see sucker punch holding off on Jin for a potential PS6 title.
It's certainly possible and I would love for that to happen, but Sucker Punch's statement in the Playstation Blog post made it sound like that may not be the case. Talking about how they want to continue to tell Ghost Origin stories and make this more of an anthology series. Would still love to see something about Jin post Ghost of Tsushima though!

Atsu has a Kill list on her and is dressed in yellow like a certain Bride. The wolf in Yotei was hunt into extinction for cattle and it could be representing Atsu coming back from the grave for revenge.

I think an interesting mechanic they could add could be poaching the honor system from red dead but instead of it being more honor for good actions and less honor for bad actions it should be more honor for samurai like actions and less honor for ghost like actions so that neither High or low honor is a good or bad ending necessarily
all i see is stifness in every movement the character makes katana movement in combat gonna be as stiff as a damn rock all the time which i hate seeing becasue you look at it in irl humans are super smooth and clean with the movement but in these games your stiff as a damn rock all the time
I also wanted to see jin continuing his story, but the idea of jin becoming a legend is pretty great and the idea of playing as a character who dosen't have his morals might be intresting, perhaps it could be a redemption story, her learning from jin and becoming a more honourable fighter

Ghost of Tsushima IS the greatest game of all time. By far and away. I’ve played most GTAs, both Red Deads, the Arkham games, etc. pretty much every game that I’ve seen hailed as one of the best, I’ve played, and Ghost clears all by far. Peak Story, Gameplay, graphics, and so much more.
Now that it’s been delayed, it’s AC Shadows for me. Japan is the setting I’ve wanted the most and the world and stealth look excellent. Hoping the writing will be up to snuff
For Sucker Punches sake I hope they drop it before fall 2025 because once GTA 6 drops I'm not going to lie everyone will be playing it besides people who genuinely don't like GTA. Nevertheless I am looking forward to Yotei.
For me it’s GTA 6. But GOY is 2nd. I played Ghost of Tsushima im November after owning it for four months without playing it and I was blown away. I did not expect it to be so good!
I'm hopping that they somehow make ghost of yote relate to Jin Shakai. He's the best protagonist since the Witcher 3. I wish that they made the story of the new protagonist heavily inspired by Jin, take on his passion to liberate their people and for the people.
Still looking forward to Shadows more because of the dual protagonists and seasons, but I guess that's pending on finding out more solid info on what they're adding to Yotei, and could be cool to play Shadows then Yotei since they're so close chronologically

I'm extremely excited for this game, and also i'd like to say that while yes technically Hokkaido isnt in the grasp of the Imperial Court or the Shogunate, the Matsumae Clan does control southern Hokkaido (primarily Oshima Peninsula, the only Yamato/Japanese settlement in Hokkaido at the time) and engages in trade with the Ainu (indeginous people of Hokkaido). Since the game takes place in 1603, its 3 years into the construction of Hokkaidos only castle (Matsumae Castle, Construction: 1600-1606), built by the Matsumae Clan, so i hope we might get to see something that mentions this occupation of southern Hokkaido
Playing a new protagonist has honestly really killed my hype for the game. I don't want to play as anyone other than Jin. There was SO much more I wanted to see from his character, and I really never felt like I got to spend as much time with him as I wanted. Ghost of Tsushima is only 25 hours long.
I think Jin story is already done Like there's nothing else left for jin He's defeated the Mongols Protected his homeland Resolved his differences with his uncle I do not know what else is left Apart from the second Mongol invasion if they cover it
Ghost of Yotei looks promising. My biggest problem with GoT was story and that game overall was repetetive and world was empty. You had only 4 types of enemies, one weapon with bow and only 4 stances so at the end or in the middle of the game it was boring for me. World as i said for me felt empty. And story was cliche so i hope Yotei would improve these things and based off the trailer it looks good so far. I like that they showed us more weapons and that the main character is rogue shinobi so story seems more interesting to me. Also i'm pretty hyped for Shadows. I'm actually glad that ubisoft delayed it to next year so they can work more on that game and that they finally realised players prefer finished products than have buggy and unfinished game that should've been still in development. Also ubisoft seems to be pretty confident with shadows to release it in the same year as Yotei and it the same month as KCD 2
I share the sentiment of many that wanted to follow Jin's story a little bit more, but then I think about the possibilities as a saga, and what could they've done in a sequel? 1- Jin completely turned into a rogue ninja following his new goals 2- Jin present in the second Mongol invation Either way, I believe the series could become too repetitive. By changing the timeline, protagonist and location, possibilities are endless, for this new adventure and for what's coming next in the series.
I can imagine a Walmart Christmas bundle package with 2 games for PS5. And those 2 games that would be bundled up in tape would be Ghost of Yotei and Assassin's creed shadows. Both games i mentioned would come in a Christmas package. Lol
Super hype for this game, Atsu seems to be using more then Katana in the game, dual wielding and kusarigama could all be very good additions to spice the game up. This trailer has me searching history for clues about the major events that happened in 1603 Japan.
It’s easily my most anticipated game and it’s not even because of ghost of Tsushima. This new game looks even better though. New weapons, the mountain looks amazing( erdtree vibes ), and it’s a fresh start. If it has musashi in it then it’s my game of the year.
In my opinion, I think setting it in 1700s Japan i.e the Edo Period (for example, 1776 Japan) would have been more compelling. We don't see that period of Japanese depicted in mainstream media much at all. We did see the end of Edo Period Japan in Rise of the Ronin, but that is about it.

The ending of this video was beautiful. You simply cannot beat GoT soundtrack. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Jin but I cannot wait to play this game.
I can’t wait for everybody to unfairly compare Assassins Creed shadows to how glorious and transcendent Ghost of Yotei is even without them playing either of the games.
I played ghost of tsushima this year for the first time and it is already one of my top games along with jin being one of my favourite protagonist. And to think, we are getting a second game next year itself is crazy! I have always been an assassin's creed fan since ac3 but looks like sucker punch will overtake it.
One of my favorite fighting theme is " The Way of the Samurai " from the first game. Like this music right there, was a masterpiece. And man I hope they gonna make new bangers for Yotei, can't wait

I'm extremely excited for this game, and also i'd like to say that while yes technically Hokkaido isnt in the grasp of the Imperial Court or the Shogunate, the Matsumae Clan does control southern Hokkaido (primarily Oshima Peninsula, the only Yamato/Japanese settlement in Hokkaido at the time) and engages in trade with the Ainu (indeginous people of Hokkaido). Since the game takes place in 1603, its 3 years into the construction of Hokkaidos only castle (Matsumae Castle, Construction: 1600-1606), built by the Matsumae Clan, so i hope we might get to see something that mentions this occupation of southern Hokkaido
Also, Mount Yotei is almost in the Oshima Peninsula, so its not too far fetched

Playing a new protagonist has honestly really killed my hype for the game. I don't want to play as anyone other than Jin. There was SO much more I wanted to see from his character, and I really never felt like I got to spend as much time with him as I wanted. Ghost of Tsushima is only 25 hours long.

Ghost of Yotei looks promising. My biggest problem with GoT was story and that game overall was repetetive and world was empty. You had only 4 types of enemies, one weapon with bow and only 4 stances so at the end or in the middle of the game it was boring for me. World as i said for me felt empty. And story was cliche so i hope Yotei would improve these things and based off the trailer it looks good so far. I like that they showed us more weapons and that the main character is rogue shinobi so story seems more interesting to me. Also i'm pretty hyped for Shadows. I'm actually glad that ubisoft delayed it to next year so they can work more on that game and that they finally realised players prefer finished products than have buggy and unfinished game that should've been still in development. Also ubisoft seems to be pretty confident with shadows to release it in the same year as Yotei and it the same month as KCD 2
I am hyped, but I hope they eventually do a second game with Jin as the second Mongolian invasion has a lot to offer for his story.
I share the sentiment of many that wanted to follow Jin's story a little bit more, but then I think about the possibilities as a saga, and what could they've done in a sequel?
1- Jin completely turned into a rogue ninja following his new goals
2- Jin present in the second Mongol invation
Either way, I believe the series could become too repetitive. By changing the timeline, protagonist and location, possibilities are endless, for this new adventure and for what's coming next in the series.
I can imagine a Walmart Christmas bundle package with 2 games for PS5. And those 2 games that would be bundled up in tape would be Ghost of Yotei and Assassin's creed shadows. Both games i mentioned would come in a Christmas package. Lol
Super hype for this game, Atsu seems to be using more then Katana in the game, dual wielding and kusarigama could all be very good additions to spice the game up. This trailer has me searching history for clues about the major events that happened in 1603 Japan.
It’s easily my most anticipated game and it’s not even because of ghost of Tsushima. This new game looks even better though. New weapons, the mountain looks amazing( erdtree vibes ), and it’s a fresh start. If it has musashi in it then it’s my game of the year.
In my opinion, I think setting it in 1700s Japan i.e the Edo Period (for example, 1776 Japan) would have been more compelling. We don't see that period of Japanese depicted in mainstream media much at all. We did see the end of Edo Period Japan in Rise of the Ronin, but that is about it.
I so can't wait for both Ac shadows and GOY. They both look very promising and great 🔥🔥

The ending of this video was beautiful. You simply cannot beat GoT soundtrack. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Jin but I cannot wait to play this game.
I can’t wait for everybody to unfairly compare Assassins Creed shadows to how glorious and transcendent Ghost of Yotei is even without them playing either of the games.
I played ghost of tsushima this year for the first time and it is already one of my top games along with jin being one of my favourite protagonist. And to think, we are getting a second game next year itself is crazy! I have always been an assassin's creed fan since ac3 but looks like sucker punch will overtake it.
