Great video Luke however I disagree with your explanation of asset flips. An asset flip is buying a premade complete game with code and art that's supposed to be used as a base for your own game and just selling it with no or minor changes. Whereas buying assets and putting them into your game you made yourself is not a bad practice for people without art creation skills and shouldn't be looked down upon. Cant wait for Fantastic 3!
It makes me sad to see there’s people pledging to the kickstarter. These guys don’t deserve a second chance.
Fun Fact: Checking Kickstarter two days after this video dropped it would appear that one person who backed the $12,000 tier appears to be gone now somehow, and the total earned now at time of writing is back down to only $2,320.
That Kickstarter won't be up for long lol
I don't know who you are, but your office layout and lighting looks cozy.
A newcomer to the channel and just wanted to say you're awesome!! Your videos are very easy to understand and entertaining
Damn, I didnt know you were an artist for Fntastic /s
Fntastic really putting the "ass" in "asset flip."
No more “volunteers” aside from the individuals working for them out of pure “goodwill”….smdh
Everytime i heard this company, i can't forget that twins face. I can never forgive them after what i heard about testimonials from former developers at the fntastic
"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, Old Man?"
Calling them a studio is an insult. Calling them anything other then frauds, scammers, filth is unjust. You reap what you sow.
"And we thought that was the end of it"
No we didn't, most of us called it immediately that they're going to lay low for a while and try it again, maybe under new brand.
Thinking that's the end of it was very short sighted on your part.
That fancy dinner wil most likely be a very nice McCafe.
They're back, huh? Like Skeletor jumping out of a pit ooze? "I'm baaaack!!!!"
The hats they sell are sold out but probably only had 1 in stock.
Someone trolled them with a donation, the amount has been lowered on the kickstarter
Was about to say it's prob them that donated it. And then you did. Lol
I just checked the Kickstarter, they’re close to reaching their target amount.
Apparently they lawyered up with Saul Goodman and helped by sending “small, but consistent donations”
I feel bad rn had no idea the publisher loses money on refunds man. I’ve tried games and just went eh on some small games. I’m happy I know that so will be more mindful on returns.
Damn 2024 keeps getting interesting.Wonder what will happen by the end of the year
