You have done a great job on explanation of the heater and the controls. Easy to understand and well done. I live in Alaska and have one of the little suitcase style heaters pumping heat into my compartment on my skid steer . I can move it around to any on my pieces of equipment. put the hose into the compartment on my diesel truck, my D-3 caterpillar dozer and let it run.
These diesel heaters work well just as long as they're installed correctly. Thank you for you for watching the video and leaving your comment. Please Like, Subscribe, Ring the bell and let others know about our channel on your social media. Have a great day.🤠
Great job on the install! I'm building a CT camper and went back and forth do I want my Lavaner diesel heater inside or outside. I settled on placing it outside with the idea it could be portable and used in a tent or anywhere you need heat. I also used a marine 3 gal. tank which should give many hours of heat. You mentioned you mix Power Service in your fuel what ratio are you using for the diesel heater? By the way I love your truck camper is it a custom build?
I use 2 ounces of power service winter in 5 US gallons of fresh diesel. The canopy/cap was a special order item. I built the boxes, insulated camper, put 290 watts solar with a victron charge controller and 106ah AGM battery. Works great. Check out my videos on the cargo trailer camper conversion. hello I have just recently ordered a 6 by 12 trailer and I have a question in regards to the diesel heater. Is it possible to mount the diesel heater outside, on the tongue of the trailer and have the heat hose and return intake fresh air be piped into the trailer.
I just ordered 2kW heater, you have nice setup. Air filter could be a little strictive. I might take air from inside so at least some fresh air will come in to replace it.
The air filter works like a dream. I have been using it for almost three years now. Just keep it clean. Combustion air needs to come in from outside as the owner's manual states. Enjoy your heater. @@explorer867 Yes you are right, airflow to burner is so low filter makes no harm. I evaluated it first totally wrong. I still want to take some fresh air in also so I have to figure out how make it adjustable.
@@asdasd-jl3ls The combustion air should all come from outside source. It is a closed system. The cabin air is recirculated by the intake on the rear of heater and blown out front of heater. If you want fresh air into the heated space open a window or install a vent. Hope this helps
A diesel heater would be perfect for you in the shack. If I were you I would look at the all-in-one diesel heater. Thank you for watching and commenting bud.
I put Winter Power Service in the diesel fuel. No problem.with jelling. Please like, subscribe, Ring the bell and let others know about our channel on your social media. Thanks for watching.
We can get to -20 at times in the winter but -0 to -10 is common. Power Service is used on the north slope oil fields in Alaska to supplement other measures in the diesel equipment. This also adds lubricity to fuel. Thanks for your question.

I have seen others mount the all in one units outside the camper.

I bet that setup would work great in a ice shack 🤔

@@explorer867 our actual temp can hit -40, with wind chill being much colder. Is your climate similar? Thanks for the quick reply.

I think the air in and out is too close to each other, you will get some exhaust in
Are you talking combustion air and exhaust or cabin heat intake and exhaust?
oh,I thought it is cabin heat , if it is combustion air, it shall not be a big problem then
Extreme?
I do -20c for the fun of it
