From my experience, instead of spending that much on the throttle body, just put high flow sport cats from Paragon, you gone get more sound horsepower & torque
I have the URP Catch Can on my C8, easy to install and it does help prevent oil from ingesting into the intake and the intake valves / ports. I installed the Catch Can first thing after buying the car, they are located in Florida. You should of cleaned out the oil in the intake before reinstall. I posted it on my UA-cam channel.
Usually not many con’s with a good catch can…. Other than keeping an eye on it….. Pros are keeping the oil out of the engine, intake, etc…. I’m a MAJOR fan of catch can’s but I do suggest you always do good research!!!
Love it! Very interesting and nice job! More air in needs more air to get out fast! You need some high flow cats! I can’t remember! You have headers and exhaust?
@@RWDC8Z That’s pretty cool that it’s been adjusting itself on the stock calibration as you can see with the results. Hopefully somebody can crack it soon 🤞🏽
Watch 5:00 into video and you will have your answer. **meant to be helpful not a di**… lol.. just clarifying as that helped me understand… .. I know it’s a MAJOR pain to get through the rear trunk as there are like a bunch of screw’s holding in the carpet, then like 20 more….. Obviously, trunk would be the ideal as when you do this mod you should get the high performance blue air filter 🙂
After further review and previous experience - this project probably would have been *easiest* by using both ways at once. Sorry - I know this isn’t the best answer, just my 2 cents.
I can't get over how everyone is so caught up in sound. If there is no reasonable difference in HP n TQ it is like some teenager putting a huge noisy muffler on a little Honda that does 0-60 in about 15 seconds. Form should follow function in cars performance is the function and sound is the form. If all you care about is sound just punch a couple of holes in your mufflers with a hammer and nail. What the dyno says is what counts, because that is what translates into what happens when you press the pedal.
Hey Mike, so the reason I mod is the test things out. As you will see if you watch some more on the channel. Also the day that we can tune the car, I’m sure the mods will make more since then. Have a good day man.
Wondering if this install would have been easier just unscrewing the clamp on the air duct and removing the throttle body that way … seems like unnecessary work removing the entire intake manifold
@@RWDC8Z it be nice to see both !! I have similar mods as you, I like to see a Dyno run with the larger TB … HPO slapped one in his Zr1 without a tune and lost power : ua-cam.com/video/303R_pGiPSI/v-deo.html

or both
I would also be worried about running more lean if it can't be tuned for the increased air flow, just food for thought. Hopefully that's not the case
C8 has wideband O2 and will adjust.
With a wider throttle body it seems like a wider attachment to he intake would be better/necessary for the increased airflow.
Yeah, Soler performance is making one soon I think

Thanks! Definitely investing in one of those!
Nice, looking forward to your next trip to Bradington motorsports. If it brings your time down enough I think I would be interested in it.
Thursday!
Can't wait to see what kind of 60-130 you throw down now. Any little bit of top end that can be squeezed out.
She feels a lot stronger on the top end around 5500 to 6500 rpms
Matt awesome. Can’t wait for that track day.
This Thursday! 🎉🎉🎉
what u thing of the oil catch can.???? some people installing them some people not..any pros or cons with this ??

@@autohitman do u have one installed on urs ?? I had one on my 2017 50th camaro worked pretty good
I’m definitely getting one after seeing all that oil in the intake
I’m just curious as why manufacturers doesn’t install catch cans? I have one on my pickup and I’m really considering installing on the C8 now.
something like that needs to be tune/dyno. Well when tune will be available of course :). I am waiting to see more about this mod!!
At 3:36 you will see porch pirates stealing your Procharger kit. :)
LOL!!!
Naah that was someone’s tv lol
🤣🤣🤣
I would put tape over your cylinder head intake ports to prevent stuff falling in the cylinder by accident... especially if you do not notice😬
Good idea
Thanks for the video. Do you happen to have a Dyno test that showed the before and after results of the throttle body? Thanks
They do a 103 and 107mm will you get on of them as well?
Love it! Very interesting and nice job! More air in needs more air to get out fast! You need some high flow cats! I can’t remember! You have headers and exhaust?
No headers, just awe track exhaust. I’m going to wait on the headers til after the procharger.
how did you fit the boot just got one dosnt fit
It’s tough, just gotta work it
13:54 Mr. Rear wheel drive pushes out a new born baby
Matt do you actually need the adapter? or can you put the 95mm made 100mm
directly without the adapter?
I don’t think I used an adapter but this was years ago so I can’t remember
Thanks! I was told that making it 95mm the intake it won’t hold making force induction so I stopped
So you have the ported manifold and the bigger TB on with no tune?
Yessir! Unfortunately no tune available yet 😢

If you had to do it again, would you go thru the trunk?

I would think so no Bloody knuckles
Yeah, I’d go through trunk if I did it again.
I just ordered this for my c8, it mentions you may require a tune for the 100mm. Did you have any isues with kicking codes? do you have a tune?
I didn’t have a tune, and didn’t have any issues
@@RWDC8Z thank you very much for the response, fingers crossed its at the shop now
Love it, great video
Super curious to see if your 1/4 mile times improve.
Me too!
@@greatwhitenorthcorvette8133 bro you’re everywhere!!!!!!
Lol 😝
Thursday! It’s happening!
Will be interesting to see if you better your time on that dragstrip
This Thursday my friend!
Just got my 91mm. I have to say it still looks easier to go through the trunk hatch, lol.
100%
@@RWDC8Z have you heard of the 7.0l swap that lingenfelter is producing for C8s?
15:15 had another one pop out
Did you port the plastic intake ? And who did?
My friend Carlos. He’s on Instagram at Car_C8. Contact him and he’ll port yours too!
@@RWDC8Z is porting the intake worth it? How much hp do you like up and what's the estimated cost?
Matt which performance mods have currently? Anything you’d change? Thx great videos!!!
Ported intake
Ported Soler performance throttle body
Attack blue air filter
Awe track exhaust
Wouldn’t change a thing cept adding that procharger! 😂
Any headers? Thank you for the response
Please Dyno your car it would be nice to see if your gained power or just pedal feel !! ☺️☺️
Yo I just saw you on the road and found ur UA-cam wow
Nice! What did you think of the car?
Moreeee throttle bodies for the c8
🎉🎉🎉
Some other dude had the airbox itself ported for amazing results.
Ooooooo I’ll look into that!
sheeesh
What does this do to your warranty?
Depending on the issue. I have the original so it would be an easy swap and they would never know 🤷🏻♂️
Dope🤘🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥
Any check engine lights
So far we are good! Drove it about 200 miles yesterday and 🙌🏼

how many more HP gain from those 2 bigger throttle bodies?
