C8 CORVETTE THROTTLE BODY CONTROLLER ( SOLER PERFORMANCE )

Just installed the new Soler BT throttle controller...I've never sweat that much in my life...I'm 6' 2" 252 lbs, that's a tight space to work in...I mounted the controller to the left side of the steering wheel, better angle...I started the car, connected Bluetooth through the app, it works great...I tried eco mode just reving the car vs sport vs Ludacris...man what a difference....thanks for the install video...it helped.

Spent the afternoon installing this thing. What a job. For me anyways. Just trying to figure out how to keep the sending unit away from the gas pedal and tie up to something. There if no room to get under the dash to look underneath. it. I thought some velcro would stick to the carpet. Nope. Love to see a video on how you got the wiring away from the gas pedal.

Same thing as a Pedal Commander. I run mine under the floor mat and leave the unit under the drivers seat. Then use the blue tooth app. to control it. Honestly, I leave mine in sport mode and never change it.

My mechanic thought it was best just tucking the unit behind the dash since you can make all the changes with an app. Most people would just leave it around 50%.

Maybe ppl weren’t installing them correctly…I have the Soler controller on my 5th Gen and it’s perfectly fine 🤷…just take it back off for a while if u have to get dyno tuned

The pedal commander does not leave any information on the cars computer. Your warranty will not be voided, just make sure you detach it when you go for warranty service work.

I have one for my zl1. It works. It changes the throttle response and makes the car so nuch nore fin ti drive. He doesn't claim it adds horsepower, either does the company.

After watching your video Matt, I got the throttle body, controller and attack blue air filter. Got it professionally installed today. Kept it on S6 on my way home and in 5 miles cars went in limp mode 3 times. CEL on. I got frustrated and switched to OE mode so I could get home. Hoping to get the car ECU used to these 3 modes in next 50 miles or so. So far, still skeptical that all these changes wouldn't throw the car's ECU off completely.

It’s basically the Pedal Commander. I tested out on my Ridgeline and it’s crazy!! I was going to put one on my C7 before I totaled it. I got a C8 HTC on order, glad your testing it out for me😜 love everything your doing, makes the wait soooo much better!!

Getting that connector off was a major pain for me. Basically there is another black clip you have to push out/away to allow the connector to slide out.

This video is a little over my head, but I enjoyed it. It's not something I would do on mine because don't know how or anyone that would for me. Once the snow is gone and I join a corvette club, maybe I'll find someone. The filter and the Piece for the side intakes I will Purchase. I already purchase the front grills from another company. Wish I had seen yours first. I enjoy watching every video.

In one video the guy said you don’t even need the controller in the car after you connect to the app. That would save the placement problem if this is true.

You need to try it in track, I did have same system on golf-r, and it didn't work for me.
I got confused using the throttle in the track, you need to have the intermediate position of the throttle to control your turn, this system makes it so difficult.

Did you try in sport and track? Did you notice higher RPMS before the C8 shifted compared to oem? I have a Vitesse and seem to get higher rpms before shifting in sport and track modes (car setting not controller). I'm wondering if it's the ecm throttle position mapping causing my issue.

I could see this being good for someone if you let your daughter drive it and tone back the throttle some. Feel I've gotten pretty use to the throttle yet I would like less play in the first inch or so in the throttle. I would like that sport mode.

Would you have to remove it if you brought the Vette in for any kind of engine, drivetrain, or electronics warranty or service work? Thanks for your reply... Gary S.

Well in sport mode it’s really hard to stay out of the pedal. I’d imagine a lot lower MPG. But if you’re looking for MPG the eco mode will probably get those numbers up!

@@RWDC8Z I will probably get it once I have the car to play with it since the C8s seem to handle it well as opposed to the Camaros. UNLESS....someone comes up with a true horsepower tune for the C8. The 6th gen Camaro came maxed out from the factory, so the only thing they could tune would be the throttle response, but at $300+ it was a waste of money.

I use Comfort 5 on my 2020 C8. Sport 5 is too much for the street. FYI, I hid the unit behind the matting, can't see anything. Much cleaner than the way you did it. FYI 2, the ported throttlebody is not necessary (no gain in power) as seen here; ua-cam.com/video/pbZy2Hpfzt8/v-deo.html
