    I went with Halltech and put on the ATAK system. You can tell the difference in the pulls high range and better throttle response. The sound is amazing. Ported manifold and throttle body next.

    Excellent air intake shootout..! I had already bought the K&N intake but I did not install it yet, so I will return it and buy the Halltech instead here since it had the most power in the high RPM ranges - since I will be doing more track days with my C8 here; normally I only buy real carbon fiber parts for my C8, but I don't think the aFe or the Corsa are worth the extra money since you can't see their beautiful carbon fiber boxes displayed easily like you would with a front engine car intake - weight savings is probably not worth it either here..?

    • @Kracka21C8
      @Kracka21C8 2 роки тому +1

      aFe's intake is currently on sale for $770 so you may want to check that one out instead since it has a much fatter overall powerband vs. the others. The Halltech really only shows gains in the top 500 RPM which isn't all that usable. The Corsa would be the clear winner for someone who lives north of 5k RPM and is willing to drop the cash for all that gorgeous carbon fiber!

    • @ParagonPerformance
      @ParagonPerformance  2 роки тому +3

      The aFe is a great option for the power gains for sure. The Halltech Hornet starts to pickup power from 5000 rpm and up to redline at 6500. The reason we recommend the Halltech is because of the cleaner MAF signal which gives you a good base for other mods such as exhaust, cats, or headers to ensure you're going to get the most out of them.

    This is a totally novice question....and anyone can answer it, please....but these cars are supposed to have 495hp (z51). Is there a reason a dyno is substantially less? Does the manufacturer measure the hp differently? Just wondering why it wouldn't show close to that on a dyno. Thanks!
