I've _just_ read an article explaining she broke with tradition and chose not to wear a tiara, and that this particular wedding introduced two new traditions to British royal weddings. And that of course it was breaking with tradition and was seen as modernising because she did not come from a royal family. Ergo: Things do change.
I am an Indian but I will acknowledge with gratitude that only two hundred years of British rule of India brought unprecedented progress in all areas of life such as health care, transport, education, public work and so on. I wish Britain had not left India. You provided us with empowerment ...I love and respect England greatly..From a a thankful Indian

Not only Alexandra but also her sister Maria Fedorovna of Russia who fled the revolution. She is standing on the right, you can see her on the picture. She is pretty said, I dare say. Anastasia Romanov had the same age as Elisabeth Lyon Jones.. She must be thinking that her granddaughters could have also happily been married... So sad really. When I saw her at the picture of the balcony I said to myself: Oh, what an unhappy face she had at that marriage ! When I think that George V could have possibly saved his cousin or at least tried ... He never tried.
That’s because it is old though this video was published a year ago, Queen Elizabeth Bowes The mother of Queen Elizabeth Died in 2002 at 101 years old, Queen Elizabeth bowes was born in 1900, died in 2002, Queen Elizabeth the II was born in 1926, making her 95 years of age today
The motion on cameras sped everything up in order for the frame to capture what’s happening - they’re all moving at normal speeds it’s just videos then captured everything at about double pace because it was very rudimentary
@Grace Asher yes. Queen Elizabeth II’s father’s birth name was Albert. So was Queen Victoria’s eldest son, Albert. They both were called Bertie as a nickname by the royal family.
Happy 100th Wedding Anniversary to King George VI and the Queen Mother 💐👸🤴
Although this is 1923, it could be 1823 or even 2023. British tradition is timeless, everlasting and unique. Nothing changes.

Don’t you mean Prince George ?
His name prior to being crowned King was Prince Albert (Bertie). He took on the name George VI after becoming king.
