Wow, so lovely! I especially love your closet! It looks so cozy and if I ever lived there I'll probably be in there most of the time it just looks so cozy!
WOW. Just WOW. This apartment is beautiful and looks brand new. I can hardly even believe it. I'm about to leave for Japan in 3 days to teach and I'm hoping the quality of my apartment is even a fraction of this lol
it was pretty brand new when I moved in. It's called a Leo Palace and they are all around Japan I believe. Not all new of course so hopefully wherever you go it's not bad. Good luck!
Hey girl! So, I just moved in a week ago. I learned some helpful things that you probably already know but I'll put them here just in case. :) For the shower, you should put that top cycle on for 30 min after you use it (dries the room and prevents bacteria from growing) and make sure you lock the door each time with that little switch at the top. For the dryer, the ドライ setting is the gentlest (delicates). and ガンコ is for strong washes, 毛布 for big washes. :) Thanks again for all the info! 助かったよ!
This was so nice. Thank you for sharing your space with us. I'm planning on redoing my kitchen and bathroom in our small house (4 people in 700 sq ft) and have been looking to Japanese architecture on how to squeeze the most out of each space.
Great video Hanayanaa-san! I am hoping to move to Japan soon for work. I have been researching areas and Osaka is an area that I am interested in. Congratulations to you!
What an amazing apartment. Extremely neat and tidy, seems very well lit. Ultra efficient use of space, of coarse!! This inspires me to clean my place now lol. Thanks for sharing.
I love your apartment. The kitchen/bath areas are a bit too small in my opinion but I love the way your living area is set up with the closet space/shelving around. Thanks for sharing!
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing! Your main bedroom kind of reminds me of a dorm room lol I guess people adapt to minimalist lifestyles since most of the houses and apartments are small (depending on location)? Pretty cool though! Hey from Mexico! Subscribed! :)
I've been wondering about Japanese apartments and I guess now I know a little more. Small & efficient. Thanks for the tour. Much appreciated. Enjoy Japan.
Such a cool little apartment you have! I love your little balcony! That'd be a great place to put a chair and perhaps a little folding table to sit and eat your breakfast, have a cup of tea or just sit and read. I'm jealous! :)
Thanks so much for sharing this... I could use a year in Japan to simplify my life :) I love how efficient everything is and the panel on the wall for answering the door. I will never again complain about how tiny my kitchen is... (well at least not this week) :) Glad to see that all is well in Osaka.
Thank you for your answer! It's good to hear that. I sure like it! When I get the chance to visit Osaka, I might check these places out! Being an English teacher must be fun, right? Hope to see some more videos soon.
I was thinking how great it is to be Young because I wouldn't mind to live in such a small place when I was Young, but now in my 40s I'd be mortified. Life truly is all about expectations. Cool video and apartment, despite how small it feels
I've been to Osaka Castle :) I was there on business for a week and couldn't find anything, so I had to walk around until I found the river and keep it in sight. I wandered up there and ate Octopus Balls, they were surprisingly tasty. My business contact took me out for Italian food the next day (??) That's a neat little apartment and your tour was delightful :)
Wow. This looks like the Japanese architects have a better Idea how to use space. They're wise with the nooks and crannies that recess or fold into walls, and they know how to break up the place so everything is in different areas. Really efficient! Versus a typical US equiv. like a studio apartment where you have one room for everything and a bath, maybe an alcove for a sleeping area.
One of the smaller apartments but quite liveable by the looks of things. I love the bed up top and the clothes room under it . One thing I noticed all kitchens in japan dont make good use of vertical space and shelving
I love the space. It looks very comfortable since I don't really care about the small bedroom space, I only worry about the shower room which is near the entrance door. lol. But I really love the apartment where you live. I wanna go there for sure one day! ^^
I like it. Do you get enough heat in the winter with the air conditioner/heater unit? I imagine because your bed is elevated, at least you can get warm when you sleep. I really like the lay out, and how neat it looks. I was truly surprised with your closet space... Great vid! Matt
Beautiful apt! Most Japanese don't live this well! Many apts. / THEIR digs are so shabby. QUESTION: The tour of your balcony is quite shaky. What is that large white thing on the bottom right (that's YOUR right), of the balcony please? Looks like a big heater or some such
I totally love this! It makes me excited for when I finally get to move out. I hope you're having a great time, it really seems like you are! Your apartment is SO POSH! :)
That's incredible. I teach at a university in China, and it's one room. No porch, no kitchen, no living room. It's just a room with a bed, table, and desk. There is a shared washing machine for our entire floor. You pretty much have to eat out every day since there is no kitchen or refrigerator or anything. That's the difference between developed and developing countries.
woo, I saw the first Gantz at the movies. Decorate your walls with more mirrors so it will enlarge the appearance of the room. Its very small, the first apartment I've seen from japan. I hope there are larger apartments out there. I've watched 4 videos of foreigners living in japan today, all of which are English teachers.
Awesome apartment you got there~ It is kinda small but enough for one person xD I myself am going to study in Osaka in a couple years so it was interesting to see this since I need to get an own place to live when doing internship there
the people are great. The people I've met are very nice and funny. As for checking something out in Osaka, the main places people visit first are Namba, Umeda, and the Osaka Castle if you like that sort of thing. And I am an English teacher for a conversation school for now.
You're so pretty! I really like the closet under the bed idea. Other than that I think I'm too tall for Japan XD I'd never fit comfortably in that bed. Would hit my head all the time
That is so cool seeing an African American living in japan! I too want to visit japan someday. It is also very refreshing to see another person other than Caucasian venturing to out to different countries. You have really motivated me to do it. Plus love your video tour!
I've been to the temple in Kyoto as well. I recognized the ticket before you said the name. It was absolutely boiling so the walk up the hill to get there was a nightmare. Beautiful place though.
You are a really good tour guide! Very interesting how you make your living space work for you, glad ur comfortable. Gotta say though, I would miss a regular oven :-/
basically Osaka is a city in the middle of everything but there are some nice sightseeing areas. The Osaka Castle is pretty good but if you are a castle fan you'll know it's not as good as one of the other popular ones (ex. Himeji). Food is pretty much the main culture of Osaka. Takoyaki, Yakisoba, Okonomiyaki and such. I like it here cuz it's in the middle of everything. Plus the people are fun to be around with. At least the ppl I've met.
In the cities the apartments are smaller because of limited space and a lot more single ppl. In the suburbs they have houses and of course in the countryside they have bigger houses.
My manager didn't tell me. I guessed a price like 80,000 and she said it is a little more than that due to how close it is to the airport and train. It's like insanely close.
@777LifeIsMine i pay about 55000 yen a month but with the help of my company. I don't think it would be that much higher. And this apt is in Toyonaka Osaka. There are tons of Leo Palace apartments with different designs. Good luck with coming here. I recommend it. Especially Kansai area.
I live in Osaka but North Osaka. and it's I'm bad with calculating everything but rent is about 550000yen (about close to $600). Buying food in Osaka is cheaper than Tokyo. Overall Tokyo is more expensive than Osaka.
How'd you manage to find such a big apartment? Most of the ones I've seen all have unit baths and a single matted room. That closet space, the wood paneling, the big bedroom, and your bathroom are to die for.
My area the rent is prob in the $800 but because of my company i pay about $550 a month. To be honest I don't pay too much attention to my bills but I think they are about $60 on a good month all together. I'm very close to food shopping and about all transportation (bus, train, monorail, taxi).
Finally, someone living in Japan with an apartment that actually looks like it gets cleaned more than once a year. Great job, girl!
Small but cozy. This is the first time I see a kitchen in the actual hallway!
I can listen to you for hours. You have a very nice voice and perky personality.

Hanayanaa Did the rent include electric, gas and water ?
nope. That was monthly and depending on how much I used. Water was included though.
I'd love an apartment like that
ikr
I swear I'm addicted to these types of videos, I have been watching Japanese room tours for the past half hours XD
Wow, so much packed into that hallway/kitchen! It's kind of like a little dorm room, or something. Thanks for the tour, very interesting!
This is probably the best apartment I've ever seen. Looks spacious enough for me at least and that closet compartment is a great selling point.
Thank you for the tour! My jaw dropped at the key, the shower room, the washer lid, and the door camera monitor.

i love the position of the bed omg. seems so cosy
What an amazing apartment. Extremely neat and tidy, seems very well lit. Ultra efficient use of space, of coarse!! This inspires me to clean my place now lol. Thanks for sharing.
as of now I am still live there and it's about $550 a month. I got the apt through my job (English conversation school teacher) Good luck!!
I love your apartment. The kitchen/bath areas are a bit too small in my opinion but I love the way your living area is set up with the closet space/shelving around. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE it!! Your apartment looks really cozy. Thanks for the tour 😊
and i thought my flat was small!!!this is the smallest but most efficiently layed out apartment/flat i have ever seen its amazing!!!:)
I've been wondering about Japanese apartments and I guess now I know a little more. Small & efficient. Thanks for the tour. Much appreciated. Enjoy Japan.

This was so interesting and cool. Your nervous giggle is so cute too
I think it is WONDERFUL ! It is cute, well organized, clean, and fresh.
Thanks for sharing! It's nice to see how other people live. I could totally do that. What an experience you are having! Enjoy it.
Wow you're so lucky! I like the view you get from your balcony as well with the narrow walkways. very cool!
Thank you so much, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of your apartment :-)
Thank you! Very nice tour, and God bless and keep you safe.
Thanks for sharing! Man I heard those apartments were small, but I didn't think they were that small lol. Still, looks comfy!
Love your tour, ill be moving to Japan in March and I was worried about the apartments but, I love your apartment its so cute!
its actually an adorable little apartment. i mean its tiny but i actually wouldnt mind it coz its been built really nicely
I loved this! and Your "loft" is so cute !
That is a proper apartment, u seriously lucky to get 1 like that.
Great tour! I hope you're enjoying Japan.
I was thinking how great it is to be Young because I wouldn't mind to live in such a small place when I was Young, but now in my 40s I'd be mortified. Life truly is all about expectations. Cool video and apartment, despite how small it feels

Please give us a tour where you do your grocery shopping and where you park your car at your apartment?
Very nice, watching these kind of videos are Fun. Thank you
I loved when u honestly said that ur making a video because u just cleaned ur room 😁
Oh man, you're so lucky. That's such a great apt!! If/when I go to Japan, I hope I get one so nice.
This was really cool to see! I love to see what kinds of places I could live in around the world on my budget. Lol.
soothing. Talking about real life out here in these streets.
Beautiful apt! Most Japanese don't live this well! Many apts. / THEIR digs are so shabby.
QUESTION: The tour of your balcony is quite shaky. What is that large white thing on the bottom right (that's YOUR right), of the balcony please? Looks like a big heater or some such
awwwwww she is so cute i swear i could just hug her
the hallways area is small but the room is a pretty big! i love it.
It's lovely! And, strangely enough, I used to have a key exactly like that... but it was for my tiny sailboat :D
That's a really nice apartment! Thanks for sharing!
if you go with an English conversation school (eikaiwa) or ALT (Assistant Lang teacher) company (like INTERAC) then they can find an apt for you.
I totally love this! It makes me excited for when I finally get to move out. I hope you're having a great time, it really seems like you are! Your apartment is SO POSH! :)
Thanks. Well I've seen clothes set out in winter. I myself would never do it, though.
That's incredible. I teach at a university in China, and it's one room. No porch, no kitchen, no living room. It's just a room with a bed, table, and desk. There is a shared washing machine for our entire floor. You pretty much have to eat out every day since there is no kitchen or refrigerator or anything. We have seperate toiletrooms also. It's much more hygienic than having everything together.
even though the apartment is small, but u hv everything well arranged. i like the idea of the closet.
woo, I saw the first Gantz at the movies. Decorate your walls with more mirrors so it will enlarge the appearance of the room. Its very small, the first apartment I've seen from japan. I love your apartment! Its so cute and small.I like small spaces for some reason.
Awesome apartment you got there~ It is kinda small but enough for one person xD I myself am going to study in Osaka in a couple years so it was interesting to see this since I need to get an own place to live when doing internship there

everything is small BUT the bedroom and closet is amazing so I like it!
You're so pretty!

I've been to the temple in Kyoto as well. I recognized the ticket before you said the name. It was absolutely boiling so the walk up the hill to get there was a nightmare. Beautiful place though.
The nicest apartment I've seen yet in Japan, you're lucky lol
You are a really good tour guide! Very interesting how you make your living space work for you, glad ur comfortable. Gotta say though, I would miss a regular oven :-/
wow, from the outside that closet seems very small. but from the inside it's surprisingly spacey.
basically Osaka is a city in the middle of everything but there are some nice sightseeing areas. Agree. Next place I live in Ill try to find one with a bigger kitchen
loved ur apartment!! n ur video too
I do like your tour. I had a great time watching it! =)
wow the main area where you sleep is freakin awesome i love it!
I want to move to Japan so bad but I need to learn more Japanese
really liked your tour! I have family who lives in Japan but feel like a creeper asking , can I see a tour of your apt? lol
I can see Remembering the Kanji Vol .1 on ur desk :D did it help u ? I just ordered it from amazon :)
My manager didn't tell me. I guessed a price like 80,000 and she said it is a little more than that due to how close it is to the airport and train. It's like insanely close.
I LOVE THIS APARMENT! When I come to Japan, I hope mine will be exactly the same, especially the 'closet' :)
Oooo you have a counter! A bit tiny compared to ones in Canada, but I've seen a lot of apartments in Japan that don't even have a counter...
Really nice you have a little outdoor area!
I agree! I'd like to have an apartment like that!
Hope this isn't too much of a personal question for you , but how are you generally treated by the locals in Japan?
I'm treated nicely. I've been here now for over 3 years so I have a couple of diff groups of native Japanese friends that are cool.
Are you planning on staying in Japan for a long time? Or is it just a trip? How long are you gonna stay there?
rent the size like this in the video and without subsidy cost 100000yen/month. could be cheaper on cities that are far from tokyo or osaka.
i love your apartment, it's so cuuuuute ! > <
you seem like a very fun person to hangout with ;)
Thanks for the tour. Thumbs up
You're Grenadian? Okay, I'm taking this as a sign to visit Japan. You've just made me confirm it.
Thank you. I'll look into that.
