ibernesi20 I like it too! Considering there are no windows in the bathroom, the dryer helps to decrease/eliminate mildew. Plus, it dries clothes when I can’t put them outside due to the weather.
I want to visit Japan one day! It looks so beautiful there. The Japanese people are so humble. I love how neat and clean their homes are ……representing their pride in their home and country.
Thank you for commenting. It's a happy place and has a lot of light. It may be small but it's bright and cheery. It definitely will make you feel contented.
Awwwh, thanks for your wonderful comment. Honestly, you'll find that you can decorate on the cheap at the 100 Yen (dollar stores) shops and make full use of the space.
Dang, you have a lot in your tiny fridge! lol and you have beers? Nice! And I didn't know you keep coffee fresh by storing it in the freezer. Good tip!👍 Your place is really cute and cozy! Plus, I love your organizational skills. Everything looks so neat and organized.
+ktiffanyc I have a request can u please link me the website where i can buy a desk like that i think it's really nice and would love to see their selections, please respond when ever you have a chance.
Hello! The link to Nitori is below. It takes you to the store locator. Check their inventory and find out which stores carry the items you want. Hope it helps. www.nitori.co.jp/en/shop/
+ktiffanyc thanks for answering but it didn't really help its all in Japanese ( I'm going on it on mobile ) I'll check on the computer but thank you 😂😂
There is a lot to like about this thoughtfully furnished apartment. The view does have some greenery, and if the parking lots were not there then your view would have been the backside of some buildings - it's nice to have some openess to your view.
Thank you for your comment. Nitori, which is Japan's Ikea, sells amazing products to help you utilize the space in your home. It was fun finding handy things to use in the apartment.
Hello! Thanks much for your comment. I do sleep in the living area in the summer as it gets too hot in the loft. I don't have a lot of stuff and most of my clothes fit in the two closets. I've learned to minimize a lot since living in Japan.
I lived and worked in Japan for few years, my roomate and I has two bedroom apartment. With small kitchen, a bathroom...our washing machine is in our kitchen ,we don’t have dryer but we hang our clothes in the bathroom...it’s true, we save water by washing our hands and the water is used to flush our toilet... we have tv but my roomate used it for video games, I just watch news with it... the view is nearby apartments and stores around our area... Minimalist living in japan is so cool
Thank you for your nice comment. With a small space, you're able to do more and it's less expensive since you don't have to buy a lot of stuff to "fill out" the space. I love that sofa cover!
Hello. It's in a great location...well, at least for me. It's 30 mins outside noisy Osaka. Great transportation hub. Awesome restaurants. No night life though.
May I have a question? Why in most Asian countries the windows are frozen glass one? Not always but very often... Made the place claustrophobic 😞 Your apartment is cute and very clean ❤️
@@no-xz1vw I guessed so, but this way you can't enjoy the beautiful view. Transparent curtains and blinds are best, you can enjoy the view and have your privacy as well. Thanks for reply 😊
For privacy really. But also, as someone mentioned previously, the black mesh keeps the glass from breaking due to earthquakes. You can slide the window open and leave it, but depending what floor you are on, you have to remember to close it. There have been accounts of people climbing in and committing crimes. Not likely, but not worth the risk.
Haha! Are they not? I'm kidding. Actually, I'm not a big soda or beer fan. I had a party the night before and people left some of those mini-sized beer. They're very cute!
Very homey despite the size. Coming from America where my bedroom was the size of the entire apartment, it took some getting used to. No wasted space in this apartment.
Sapana Bhatt It’s in Nara and subsidized by my school ($400-$450). They picked it out so I really had no say. I just had to make it my own with personal touches.
I also live in a small apartment and being looking a lot for a coffee table like yours. Did you get it in a online store or something (since I don't live in Japan)? It's pretty and compact. Love it.
Hi there! I bought the coffee table from Nitori. They have an online store as well, but I think they only deliver in Japan. Sorry I'm not much help. You may try to look at portable coffee tables.
Amazing to see what you did differently! Looks like my old place but you have better taste in furniture than I do!! LOL I have a few questions! 1. When the people from Nitori delivered the furniture, did they assemble it or did you have to? 2. Where did you get the sofa from? I was looking for one for awhile but couldn't find one I liked >
Japanese apartments always remind of hospitals… I don’t know why, maybe the colors? Or the appliance colors ? I don’t know but they remind me of American hospitals
Paula Aschenbrenner Thank you so much! I tried to make-do with what was available and what I could carry out the store and take on the train. Japan’s train system is top-notch, but it makes for a funny sight seeing passengers with loads of shopping bags. LoL
After washing the dishes where can you place them to get dry? Or if you wipe dry the dishes then after rinsing them where can you put those ones that are already rinsed?
Hi, I have a leopalace apartment with the tiny kitchenette which lacks storage space. I like those shelves that you have installed, would you mind sharing where you bought them?
Hello! I bought the shelves from Nitori. Very sturdy and only costs about ¥1,200 each. They are pressure installed so very easy to put up. They come in different lengths.
I could have sworn I've replied to your message before. Sorry about that. I bought the big shelves from Nitori. The little shelves to store the spices, I purchased via Amazon.
Desirie Endrina I bought organizers, desk, bookcase, and other personal items. My school provided necessities like appliances, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, hangers, etc.
I love your place but I'm sorry to tell you this the freezer is the worst place you can store your coffee beans! They should be left in a cool dry place, but putting coffee beans in the freezer or the refrigerator is not a good idea it causes moisture and moisture is one of the worst enemies to coffee beans it will make them go bad and lose their flavor quickly. You can find this online on many different coffee themed websites. Do your research and you'll see that it's true..... I hope this was helpful and that your coffee will taste better now 😊
Shelly DiPhillipo Thank you for the info! I typically store unopened bags in the freezer to keep the grounds fresh. I have an airtight container I use for daily consumption that is room temperature.
