    • @bzomeful
      @bzomeful 7 місяців тому +27

      Is it that the minimalism allows him to focus on the things that give him joy or that focusing on minimalism, in itself, is the principle thing that gives him joy?
      Or it just so happens that his three main passions (design, samurai theatre and gaming) don’t necessarily require a large amount of items at home or completely mesh with his love of minimalism. For example, if he was an avid golfer, he would probably be conflicted given a full golf set has tons of items (14 clubs, a bag, balls, tees, etc).
      I’m interested in where he keeps his tools and equipment (rented workshop space maybe?) especially if he is designing and making his own clothes and items.

Sibu did it through his choice whereas my children and I were deprived of our belongings and forced to live this way after my Ex husband stole all our money and left us and if that was not enough my own brother then used our vulnerability to steal more from us (my car and my land). We have just 4 more things than Sibu does ... a lamp, a table, a mattress and a few curtains for privacy. The rest looks and feels the same. Thank you Sibu for showing us we are not always alone even when we think we are! I wish you the very best in Life. My kids love games too. What a blessing. I'm not the only one. I've been traveling the world since 2006. I have been living in a new country for 3.5-5 years in different regions and cities. At the beginning, I had the usual amount of things and when I moved, I sent things by delivery. But still, every move I rethought the need for each thing, evaluating whether the thing was worth moving on with me. Then it was important for me to fit into 1 large suitcase. Now I am already an experienced minimalist. I travel with a suitcase for carry-on luggage, a musical instrument, a tea set and a supply of pu-erh (this is not always easy to find in a new country), equipment for filming, I create content and my hobby - I make sacred jewelry for prayer. All this: a suitcase for hand luggage, a bag for a musical instrument and a backpack. At the same time, the quality of my life and the feeling of comfort are always available to me.

      @@VR_win Lol, you're so full of shit. I love how you're apparently psychic and can tell what generation they're from. It has nothing to do with Gen Z and you know it. "Too sensitive." There's that overused, beaten to death phrase people think is a gotcha. As for your attempt at sounding superior (and failing), I doubt you would ever willingly participate in a minimalist lifestyle, hand over your phone, computer, and 90% of everything you own or shut up.

      @@bellebonebag8096 actually it became popular in the art world back in the 60s. But of course, overtime it came out of the arts and started being a part of every day life.
      Edit : but yeah, I don’t understand how minimalism is a form of torture. I honestly think that everyone should do the less is more because we are overstimulated and are constantly pushed into believing we need more to be happy by the media.

    I envy this guy. The other day I had to move out of my student rental as I've finished my final semester and man, the amount I stuff I had to pack up is quite insane for a student. It took so long to take the stuff out of the drawers and into bags, and that's just the things that could fit in a small car. I still had to bring back the matress, carpet, wardrobe, chair and table. Man it's tiring just thinking about it. I haven't even gotten around to sorting out the things now that everything's back home.
    When I continue to further my studies, I really need to make sure I don't bring unecessary stuff or else something like this could happen again.

    Homelessness within a home.
    I LOVE IT!!
    I went homeless twice in my life, once when I was 14 and another time when I was 46.
    Both times were by choice.
    I called it HOME-FREE because I didn't feel HOME-LESS.
    Now I'm in my own place again with maybe 1000 items.

    I could agree on not having side rolling curtains, because they are quite cumbersome. As an alternative, this space would benefit from roll down black out curtains especially if he's using the projector during the day - and they are really quite slim against the wall/door and for the side facing the interior you can get them in any colour.
