How could I go about controlling specific points towards the center of the mesh? I want to mask out an area to be flat so I can hand sculpt in these regions.
Hey new to blender tutorital. My goal is to make this sand desert and then have myself greenscreened and put it in. Would the beginner version of this tutorial help to make the enviroment? being up to date with 2024?
Couple of options: 1. I have a "Beginner" version of the same tutorial where I explain bits in more detail, may be worth checking there for any tips first. 2. In hindsight, the better option with the waves, given that its such small detail, would actuallt be to put it as bump in the Shader, rather than geometry. Likely you're not seeing it because you're Dunes don't have enough geometry/detail, but it's very expensive to add. As bump in the Shader (use the same math/texture) as much cheaper Thanks for watching!
So, I have two versions of this tutorial. You've just seen the "Get on with it" edition, where I do just that, don't really explain anything, just do it. If you want more details, there is also the "Beginner" version on my channel, which takes it time - hope you enjoy it
Was looking for something that wasn't 20-40 minutes long! Great vid and love the idea of the "get on with it" edition :)
Thank you! Glad it was useful 😀
great job explaining this! It is a wonderful showcase of what geo nodes can do! Thank you
Thank you for watching and the kind words!
Love the beginner and get on with it separate versions
Thank you. Hoping to get more tutorials with the same format in the next few weeks 👍
This is great, I’m shocked you don’t have more subscribers! (I just subscribed)
Thank you so much. Not got a huge collection of tutorials atm but have a few lined up that I'll get recorded soon hopefully

I followed along and it seems the 'waves' aren't showing, any tips?
