It's a real testament to how far Blender has come, to find so many well-thought-out tutorials and being in a ten-minute window as far as explaining. Perfection. Example: When was the last time you watched a ten-minute video on making a doughnut? ... LOL😁

If you ctrl c ( copy ) a node from inside a group, then ctrl v ( paste) it outside the group, it will duplicate the node with parameters, but not keep it inside the original group. ;D

how do i convert the landscape into static mesh for unreal engine5?when im trying to export as fbx or gltf only the materials are being exported but not the landscape itself
@@blenderdude5050 yes ty i saw, crashed a couple times but its a great model ty, i was trying to create an environment with the new photoshop extrude but i think your way will work best
so confused. For some reason the Position node on my ground is making the ground double the size of my water? when i mute Position in ground, it makes it the same size as the water
I tested the model on an i7 Laptop with 16GB RAM and a NVIDIA Graphics Card with only 4 GB RAM. Rendering and editing worked fine. A high Grass densitiy will slow it down a little bit.
Love this, thanks for sharing! How much ram does an biome like this demand ? I would love to make an winter switch on this, like drive winter on height or depth.
Can the geometry node generate the mesh for landscape to be able to 3d print? Or is it just a render image thing? I'm still trying to figure out blender though. Thank you in advance.
Hi, I have no experience with 3D printing, but I can see no reason why a GN model can not be 3D printed... maybe you have to apply the GN modifiier or add an "realize instance nod" at the end of your GN chain...
think you have to convert the project file in a special file for your 3D printer software? in that case you have to apply the modifier. Geometry is only math and not a "real object". If someonr else knows more... please

10/10 Great Tutorial. Love the speed of it. Not overly fast like most where I struggle to keep up. Thank you.
Very nice job, it's refreshing to see someone doing things by using only geometry nodes and saving a TON of time
i know these are old, but I appreciate them. Thanks for the info
Great tutorial! I was looking for something interesting to try to get familiar with this topic. Can't wait for the next parts :)
Thank you - Part 2 will come in the next few days. try to improve my fluent english speaking till then :-D

a recommendation for the amount of lacunary, 2 - 3 is what worked for me, at a scale of 20m x 20m and a resolution of 300 x 300.
Great tutorial! Looking forward to Part 2!
Wow this was really good.

you know its a good tutorial if the default cube survives
Amazing tutorial👊
Thank you, this is indeed helpful
if i convert to mesh it all disappears
Hi, you have to add a "realize instances" node at the very end of the node tree

I am also having this issue.
Very nice - thanks a lot !
Thanks for the tutorial! When I plug the "Add" node into the "Set POsition" node the square just disappears, any tips?
Once I add the water it duplicates the landscape and is not seen. has the system changed in 3.4?
Thankyou, If you copy and paste, the nodes drag away freely.
the headphones plugged in but the soft still cos though the computer speakers . It really should be because bluetooth has a delay
Nice tutorial so far, but for some reason after I assign my materials they appear as total black :(. Does anyone know a fix for this?
You made your channel recently? Bro I thought you were above 100k subs:9
I started three weeks ago - would have been happy about 100 subs till today, but geometry nodes is obviously hot shit :-D
Question, how much load does this put on a graphics card as opposed to other landscape developing methods?
I tested the model on an i7 Laptop with 16GB RAM and a NVIDIA Graphics Card with only 4 GB RAM. Rendering and editing worked fine. A high Grass densitiy will slow it down a little bit.
