I have loved this band since 1984. Their original line-up of band members were like a well oiled machine pumping out fantastic music one after another. Their catalog goes from hard to ballads to emotional. They got pretty soft during the 1990-2010s, but the band regrouped in 2013 and went back to their original style-mix and their new albums are worth a listen. I recently saw them open for Judas Priest in an arena and then they headlined a small rock club in NYC to promote their new album. The song that always blows people away with Geoff's voice is - Take Hold Of The Flame (Live In Tokyo)

Queensryche got wide notice with the release of Silent Lucidity which isn't typical of the rest of their sound.
Operation Mindcrime is an amazing concept album.

This song was from the album "Operation Mindcrime" and had a huge impact on me as a teenager. The album is a concept album where each song is part of an overall story. Think of it as a heavy metal opera.

If you want more rockin' with Queensrÿche, "Revolution Calling" is them with their "arena anthem" dial turned ALL the way up to 11 and will give you a lot of Queensrÿche bang for your buck. If you want to slow it down with Queensrÿche, their biggest hit, "Silent Lucidity," is lush and beautiful and not your typical metal band power ballad. Also, it's about a cool topic I believe Amber has expressed interest in.

The entire Operation:Mindcrime album is awesome. A concept album, each song telling part of the story.
Try also from this record: Revolution Calling and The Mission.

There is a video called "Operation Livecrime" where they perform this entire concept album live. Definitely worth your time even if you choose to watch outside your channels. This song takes place in the latter third of the work after he's been arrested and is being accused of the nun's murder (among others) and he's telling himself that what he felt for her was not real. It's a dark and compelling story.

Two words - 'Silent Lucidity'. Briliant! One of the best metal ballads ever. Two other of my favourites would be 'Jet City Women' and 'Another rainy Night (Without You)'. They were often too heavy for my taste but the album Empire for me is a classic.

Queensryche was remarkable. Their concept albums, Geoff Tate's voice, the musical talent... make them one of the greats. On the softer side, they have one very special song in particular, called Silent Lucidity.

There are tons of great Queensryche songs, one of the singer(Geoff Tate) best live performances was in Japan back in 1984. His vocal range is really showcased in Take Hold Of The Flame, Live in Tokyo 1984. React to that version.

Yes, you need to do the entire catalog. "Queen of the Ryche" was my introduction. It sounded like Iron Maiden. "The Lady Wore Black" showed they had something more to offer. "Take Hold Of The Flame" showed off the singer's incredible talent. The Empire album was just loaded with bangers. "Empire" , "Jet City Woman", "Another Rainy Night", "Silent Lucidity" and "Della Brown". The whole thing was incredible. Please do more. (And also some early Maiden with the original singer).

THANK YOU for doing more Queensryche! Loved your reaction, and happy you enjoyed it. Take note, that Queensryche is in the subgenre of Progressive Metal: meaning deeper lyrics, concept album and more sophisticated instrumentation. BTW, my 1st concert was Kiss in February 1985 and Queensryche opened the show, so Queensryche is technically the first band I ever saw live.

I know you guys don't really do this kind of thing, but watch the entire album in its entirety. I have a playlist of all of the music videos filled in with concert footage for the tracks that didn't have videos. It's an incredible story, and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it! Their next album, "Empire" doesn't have a bad track on it, either. You need to pay attention to the footage in the videos, as well as the lyrics, so you'll likely have to listen to Mindcrime more than once to absorb it all.
Note: I don't have any of those videos on my channel, just the playlist I assembled from other sources. But here it is...

Finally!!! As Jay said “How did we get away from these guys???” I’ve been wondering myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣
But better late than never 🕰️, right? 😁
I Don’t Believe In Love is my fave song from my fave prog-rock (progressive rock) band. Queensryche is awesome! As you both picked up on everyone in the band is phenomenal.
Some other great tunes to check out:
    Walk In The Shadows
    The Lady Wore Black
Take Hold Of The Flame 🔥🔥🔥 - This one is their most popular song others have reacted to!
    Damaged
    I Dream In Infra Red
You really can’t go wrong with any Queensryche song 🎵 🎵🎸🎶
Can’t wait to see what you do next.
Thanks for what you do! I needed this one today! 👊👍🙏
