- In this episode, we're sharing 12 months of our life - living off the grid in the New Hampshire woods.
Homesteading off the grid and on the mountain certainly has its challenges but there's no place we'd rather live. We restored the old camp and transformed it into a cozy home for ourselves, then we cleared more land, built a workshop and greenhouse and in spite of the challenges of living on ledge -we succeeded in creating an abundant garden. Little by little we're reaching our goals of having a self sufficient homestead.

Must be his first time making his own home all my family used a wood cook stove if you know what you are doing you can’t beat the food . Like that beaver playing hide and seek with the wolves.. the relaxed accoustic was a bit of a juxtaposition with how he must've felt.

As a former Bear Guard in Alaska, my "you should" input is to acquire a few boxes of "shell cracker" loads for the 12 ga. and some "Bean Bag" Rounds. Also a Freon air horn. As soon as Lori blasts the horn, tag him in the rump with a bean bag. As he's running off, send a shell cracker round in behind him to add some psychological fear to the sore rump. A few rounds of that, and as soon as the air horn sounds, he'll know to "exit... stage left" in a hurry. And, eventually, decide that it's just no fun to mess around your camp.
Loved the synopsis of the transition, and really enjoy the antics of the kids. That's always a treat. It's a very good thing to have you healthy and back in the saddle once again.
I've used both per your recommendations and you're right, they don't hang around long ;-))

Loved every memory so much I had to watch twice. I had almost forgotten a few of those things, like the baby Opossum and the first showing of the Bever. I'll never forget that fabulous garden and greenhouse! I drool over them every time I see them, especially during the winter months! Wonderful video !
