Chrono will generate the same amount of quickness and alacrity, but because the improved alacrity trait is usually taken alacrity doesn't last as long on the chrono. However, the alacrity will last just as long as the quickness on your party.
Generally correct, however should you drop too much alac on yourself the group's alac uptime might dip as well since without alac your shatter and illusions don't come off cooldown fast enough. It can lead to an downward spiral if you drop alac on yourself too much.
I have a question about this build: You said that the Greatsword variant can be used for both quick & alac but the previous build can only give quick, why is that?
@Kantharr The first build doesn't generate enough alacrity for us because of a trait increased alacrity. The trait makes it harder to upkeep alacrity on ourselves.
It should still give enough alacrity for your team, but because of Improved Alacrity the alacrity you give yourself is shorter but more powerful. This does not go for your team, you still give them full length at normal speed
@@Maitreya3001 Yes, but keep in mind if you drop too much alac on yourself the skills responsible for giving your group alac come off cooldown slower as well, if you are too slow/use to few shatters/phantasm skills your group might drop alac as well.
thanks i was playing lot of boon chrono at fractals but then switched to healer, because my dps wasnt above 12K and rotation was weird, now i might go back. im new to gw2 and its my first char. but now im rifle chrono WvW and fracs and condi mirage pve. feels way smoither. chrono is like nokia 😂

Yes, condi boon chrono is one I really wanted to do! But I'm going to wait for spears first.

spent long time in the trainig area, I barely reached 20k dps ... same build, infusions, food ... I suck at this :(
