- 1994 chevy c1500 Silverado short bed stepside finally gets some work done on it. I start on putting the ls 5.3 th350 combo in her finally after sitting for 2 years since I pulled the zz4 350 out of it.

Bartenders helper for the aluminum you can get in powder or a liquid I use it on all my trim pieces and valve covers on my 84 c10
For aluminum I like to just use dish soap and water and a green scotch brite and then if it's a smooth surface polish it out with mother's mag and aluminum polish.
Eagle one makes a wheel cleaner that’s for aluminum wheels.. it has the word etching on the front of the bottle it is a acid based cleaner you spay it on and rinse her off it’s pretty strong shit that’s probably your best option other than some paint
Eagle one wheel cleaner for non clear coat wheels is a great cleaner and some sos pads! Works excellent!!!
No fancy garage or high tech bullshit. This is what my brothers and I do. Pull them out of the Junk yard get them back on the road. You can get a good bit of power out of that 5.3. Y’all keep them videos coming. Southern boys get shit done. 👍
My 82 Gmc is almost done being 5.3 4l80e swapped. Just a few more days left. Donor motor came from an 04 Avalanche

Use mothers mag and aluminum polish. The more you scrub the better they’ll clean up
I'm not a fan of the pine trees myself but they do give me a little privacy lol

Eagle One etching aluminum cleaner shits amazing spray it on let it sit just a minute or two and spray it off it will clean any aluminum surface

LA Awesome works great but, it is best to let aluminum parts soak in it in a little while. You can find it just about anywhere and its pretty cheap. Like $3 for a half gallon.

Wiring is not as bad as you'd think once you jump into it.. just time consuming

NAPA sells a great product they actually call Aluminum brightener. Like 7 bucks a bottle

Napa auto has a really good aluminum brightener, or some stuff called (ap10) industrial floor cleaner I use it to clean my 450rquad it eats dirt right off and make it shiny
I always use oven cleaner, purple power, and an assortment of wore wheels
Purple Power works great on aluminum but you can't leave it on long you got to flash it
Purple power and a brush also wire brush would work.
The fuel pump noise is none of what you said. Its the pump. I went with a Quantum pump. No noise at all. Bought it on eBay for $69.00.
The cheapest aluminium cleaner is Totally Awesome from the dollar store only one buck and it works

I either just one or two things aluma break you can buy it at O'Reilly's for like 20 something 30 something dollars for a whole big gallon jug or etching mag wheel cleaner if you can find it just don't leave it on there too long cuz it'll turn it black just put it on there for like 10-15 seconds wash it off
I use WAB metal polish works real good can turn dall aluminum almost make look like chrome can order it off Amazon 15 bucks
I would try wd40 and triple 000 steel wool

Looks like you'll be busy for a while with those swaps, should be fun drivers when they're done. For me though,, give me an old sbc any day vs that LS stuff. Those Ls engines just don't have the low end torque you can get out of the old school sbc engines.
SBC will always have a special place in my heart lol
Lol LS is a way stronger motor than the old school motors I’ll take hp over torque anyday but ls has more in both

How many trucks are you working on currently? Seems you're working on quite a few at the same time. I put a 350 out of a '93 C1500 into my '81 C10. I had to put an electric external fuel pump on my truck because the old motor had a mechanical fuel pump.

Stock oil pan... haven't fooled with ranger lately but I'm gonna mess with it in next couple weeks

If you swap the v6 to a v8 do you have to change the transmission
It's a th350 trans.. not the original but you could use the trans that came behind the v6 or v8 both use the same bolt pattern on bell housing
What kind of transmission r u running I was wondering if you have that spacer to a tranny of of a 97 Chevy truck to a 5.3 so will both right up or not that part
Th350 yeah it's gotta spacer but I think you can use 6.0 flexplate and not need one but I'm not 100% sure

It has right at 200k on it but she ran good n strong when I pulled it out
