@ARod3 In the Japanese version of the original PMTTYD on GameCube, if you choose to become the Shadow Queen’s servant, Mario will turn into the model that Doopliss used to copy him (big eyes, bad posture etc.) they included that feature in the remake

The diary game over is actually terrifying the fact that it looks like you are going to see a flash back is probably going to chatch new players of gaurd

19:38 the portrait of the original Paper Mario partners from the N64 sitting there next to the TTYD ones gives me a bit of hope we'll see a Paper Mario N64 remake too. Also hoping for Super Paper Mario but we'll see.
I doubt we'll see a remake of the original Paper Mario, since it's already easily accessible via NSO, but I could absolutely see Super getting the remake treatment if the TTYD remake sells well, since copies of it for Wii are long-since out of print and the Wii U's eShop (where it was available alongside a few other Wii games like Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 and Metroid Prime Trilogy) is dead and gone.

@@miepsi4299it is a good argument. One big reason companies remake games is to make it accessible to play again. Since the original can be played on NSO, the market for a remake is much smaller.
I would like that, too! I always wondered how Paper Mario would look with modern updated graphics and new features and side quests for us to do after we beat Bowser in Chapter 8. I am not sure if adding more detailed graphics and music will also work for Super Paper Mario when it is mostly 2D except when Mario flips into 3D, but we will see if that happens in the next three years, if the original Paper Mario or Super Paper Mario get this enhanced remake like The Thousand-Year Door. the most interesting change about ch 2's bomb is that in the original, if you let the bomb go off right as Lord Crump's about to turn the timer off it just pauses right there as the bomb goes off, makin it funny.
but in the remake, Lord Crump very pleasantly, surprisingly actually gets an animation of flailing his arms around if you let the bomb go off right as he's about to shut it off, this's a very neat and unexpected change.
this's deff important to show off if all da game-overs are ever compiled
Ch. 1's Spike room is actually scarier too cuz it waits before the plunge in the last few seconds instead of plunging all the way 🤔

And since Mario life choices, The Shadow Queen Posessed Mario while thinks of questional stuff in the prosess and took over the world. After that, Mario and The Shadow Queen haved kids and lived happfuly ever after... while Peach and his Parnters be mad at Mario in the distance.

Things that changed in new version
In the gamecube version Ghost T will flip your screen continuously but now when your reading the diary the colors disapear and Ghost T will actually jumpscare mario now also ghosts have a new chat bubble
Things that changed in the shadow queen cutsine
In the gamecube version we just have the shadow queen taking over peaches body and if you choose to become her servant a message bubble will tell you what happens next and then its game over but now we have peach getting up and she transoforms and if you become her servant it just tells you what happened w/o a message bubble
BONUS
in the Japanese gamecube version if you become her servant after the flash mario will have that face doopliss makes when he turns into mario its pretty cool that they put this in the remake

I think it overrides the emblems, at least a little. I messed around and I couldn’t really notice anything different between wearing and not wearing them.

Just finished the 100% a few hours ago im a bit sad its over already 😢 planning to replay the gamcube version so i can really feel how different it is .. 10/10
These endings are where it all went wrong in one timeline or another...
The only game over ive gotten so far is from the diary game over. (I am at post game rn) I got too curious so i saved the game, and opened the book. Lets just say i found out real quick why that was a bad idea.
There are still other game over scenes probably secret ones especially the lottery tickets if you caught cheating and having superguard move that are not programmed to be superguarded

Why do the have Bowser, Luigi, Peach and many other characters possessed? I know this might sound crazy, but it would be cool to see a game where Mario gets possessed and kidnaps Rosilina and takes over Bowser's castle and Ligi and the good guys must work with Bowser and the bad guys to defeat Mario.
