Spike? ...WHATEVER!) : Chilling out like a coooool duuuuude.
I was legit thinking the whole time "how did I miss every single one of these but Lady Bow?" I was about to break out the GameCube and do another playthrough to find them. Good job. It looks very real.
This was brilliant. This is exactly how each of their personalities would shine if they actually appeared. (Funny enough this actually manage to give Watt a personality since she lacked one in 64) Goombario and Sushie had the best lines though. Goombario's snarky comment about all Goomba's intelligence and then shuns Goombella, harsh, but funny. The Spines being "Pipes" comment was the best line. And Sushie's comment on the Yoshi kids being angsty teenagers just feels so accurate. Then of course there's the lovely Lady Bow (I know she's already in TTYD, but still)

That pipe part with Goombario was pretty clever, I gotta admit Also Newer DS will be complete in due time, remember, Skawo's a human like us who needs to do human things, probably. (he/she took 2 paid days off to work on this for us, at least show some appreciation)

Being told that they can’t make original characters and that Bowser MUST be the main villain is just plain stupid. So it’s okay when Mario odyssey adds new, never before seen characters and species into its game. But Paper Mario isn’t allowed to have a Goomba stick out by having different colored shoes and a purple hat? You also gotta love how they said that for Origami King that it’s difficult to mod Mario and that you aren’t allowed to add new characters to the Mario franchise and world. Then they go and create Prince Olly, an ORIGINAL CHARACTER. You can’t do that. You can’t say it’s difficult to mod Mario and that you can’t create original characters. And then processed to have your villain be an original character while Mario is modded in the game (1,000 fold arms)

All of this new text feels pretty authentic and detailed, and Suhie's mention of the Yoshi Kid mood swings fits in well with the Goombario's Quest animated series by Eastbeastfilms. I look forward to seeing a whole new Paper Mario game, made out of the existing code from PM64 & TTYD, and that possibilty is only getting closer! The only thing that feels off here is that a couple of the PM64 idle animations are a bit too fast, namely Goombario & Kooper. (And Watt lacking a shadow)
Watt lacking a shadow makes sense, since she MAKES light, y'know. All of that is on IS's behalf, anyway. I only used what was already there in the game, and wrote new dialogue.
That's fine, I guess. It's great to finally see a video of those unused PM64 Partner character animations put together, rather than see them only static and unassembled on the spriters' resource.
I'd love to see someone make a 2-in-1 mod in the TTYD engine, where TTYD's story unlocks once you finish 64 but you can travel back and forth between Rogueport and Toad Town ports (and some sidequests would require doing so).
Ironically, my two favorites from the first made it into TTYD, although Parakarry was reduced to a quick cameo at the start. On a side note, Watt is absolutely adorable and I would love to see her actually return

It's funny, in the paper Mario universe. They have actual modern day techonolgy, like cars (i know cars are in the regular Mario universe) computers, tv's. Where the regular Mario universe only has cars, airships. And a few others

That would of been amazing if they did that, but the only characters you do see in the actual game is Bow at the end and parakarry at the beginning of the game. Still really cool to see what it would've liked liked.

I only find Parakarry and Goombario switched around. Do you know what I mean? Anyways, I think it was good how this user thinked all of this through to where to put each partner at. I was about to post my hope, but I remember being told not to get my hopes up.
Maybe she doesn't exist in the coding? Cause all the old partners (except for Bow) are unused sprites in the code of TTYD, the guy who did this just used the unused content and made it work on a rom of the game.

Goombella’s tattle dialogue for all of these partners doesn’t get enough attention! The veteran envy and curiosity radiating from her are the best and most accurate fan characterizations of her I’ve seen even today!

I went back and forth with the people responsible for my paycheck and in the end, I had to crash a meeting with the high guys of the league to get my paycheck. I bet the treasure guy didn't kept his job afterward. Since that incident, they've switched to direct deposit. So much more convenient.

I hope but doubt that the remake will get an update in the future, in which they’d all ap-pear, maybe even in these locations. They’re in the files, and a lot of scrapped content’s been added to it, but knowing Nintendo, they most likely will leave the remake alone now that they’ve released it.
Imagine if Goombario was incorporated into the remake with this dialogue, I would LOVE to see Nintendo acknowledge their own mistranslation goof like that!
I loved this, but I also wanted to see how Kooper would interact with Koops... Admiral Bobbery with Bombette would've been a treat too, especially since Bombette is RUNNING from love and Bobbery's wife DIED. Even Lady Bow and Vivian would've been fun.

As a person who has NEVER played The Thousand Year Door, this would've been some awesome easter eggs in that game to see the OG Cast from the N64 Paper Mario.

Man. The remake had a golden opportunity here. Would’ve been nice if they re-implemented the 64 partners into it, to throw Paper Mario 64 fans a bone. Who knows if or when we will get a remake of 64, so having them in the TTYD remake would be a nice little bonus for them.

I totally love you for doing that. The text totally fits with the characters and the overall game tone. That's awesome to have used those scraped sprites like that :D I wish it could have been the case in the actual game as well

Goombella’s tattle dialogue for all of these partners doesn’t get enough attention!
The veteran envy and curiosity radiating from her are the best and most accurate fan characterizations of her I’ve seen even today!

3:52 : I can't agree more. :) (I had such a misadventure with the postal office once: They've lost my letter containing a huge paycheck. I went back and forth with the people responsible for my paycheck and in the end, I had to crash a meeting with the high guys of the league to get my paycheck. I bet the treasure guy didn't kept his job afterward. Since that incident, they've switched to direct deposit. So much more convenient.
Wouldn't it be awesome if, in a theoretical true Paper Mario 3, the 64 and TTYD partners all returned as, say, friendly opponents in a new fighting arena?

I hope but doubt that the remake will get an update in the future, in which they’d all ap-pear, maybe even in these locations. They’re in the files, and a lot of scrapped content’s been added to it, but knowing Nintendo, they most likely will leave the remake alone now that they’ve released it.

there's a couple typos in here, but this writing is extremely faithful to the original game. you don't normally get that in fan projects, great job!

Admiral Bobbery with Bombette would've been a treat too, especially since Bombette is RUNNING from love and Bobbery's wife DIED.
Even Lady Bow and Vivian would've been fun.

they put voice and reaction movement to Lady Bow and old boo in remake. also It was nice that they played original Paper Mario OST when you talked to Lady Bow after main story. I want paper mario 64 remake!

As a person who has NEVER played The Thousand Year Door, this would've been some awesome easter eggs in that game to see the OG Cast from the N64 Paper Mario.
