You have to increase your strength and flexibility too. That will not only increase speed and endurance, but keep you away from injury too. I suggest you see all my videos without fast-forwarding them. You will learn a large number of things in running which eventually can help you meet your targets

use your upper body more, concentrate on your breathing especially in last 400 meters. Rest well. Do not do intense workout 3 days prior to event day
