Presently I am suffering from PCOS, I don't drink neither smoke or have rich foods on a constant basis, also am physically active, for the last 6 months I suffered from too much stress which is why my sleep cycle got disrupted big time , when I checked with doc and discussed to figure out the reason, the main reason which we both concluded is my lack of sleep for the last 6 months and then I realised how much important it is to get proper sleep

Kindly check your vitamin D level if u r not able to sleep properly feel tired all the time, muscles pain , laziness, hairfall, mental fatigue, low energy. I recently checked it and found insufficient 😢 Took pills and now feeling much much better Your energy level will boost up. Even after sleeping for 5.5. hr. I feel much energetic and fresh that i could not feel after sleeping for 8+ hours. Note : D levels interrupted the sleep cycles too. I hope it will help others. I was suffering from insomnia for last 2 years and now it ends.
@umajain7617 U should check your level first if it is deficient then u can have medicine.. according to your needs like 10K IU or 60,000 IU It's depends person to person and level of vitamin D.

During the next discussion with Dr. Alok, can you discuss polyphasic sleep, I.e. napping throughout the day and whether that is helpful or harmful, and does it help in optimising our efficiency? And also, does listening to nature sounds or different frequencies (alpha frequencies, beta frequencies etc) affect sleep, and if yes then how?

Your energy level will boost up. Even after sleeping for 5.5. hr. I feel much energetic and fresh that i could not feel after sleeping for 8+ hours.
Note : D levels interrupted the sleep cycles too. I hope it will help others. I was suffering from insomnia for last 2 years and now it ends.

U should check your level first if it is deficient then u can have medicine.. according to your needs like 10K IU or 60,000 IU

I learned more abt sleep from this podcast than I did in pharmacy school lol. Thanks for bringing him Ranveer! Question for Dr Alok: can the detrimental effects of years of sleep deprivation be reversed completely by now maintaining adequate sleep? Or is some damage that was done irreversible?
Finalllyy the most under looked aspect of health is getting discussed .
During the next discussion with Dr. Alok, can you discuss polyphasic sleep, I.e. napping throughout the day and whether that is helpful or harmful, and does it help in optimising our efficiency? And also, does listening to nature sounds or different frequencies (alpha frequencies, beta frequencies etc) affect sleep, and if yes then how?

I can see many women around me (including me) who are doing great in life, career they are tired physically and mentally but still unable to sleep well.
