Boone’s Slot Car Garage “Behind the Curtain “, Track Scenery

Tonight is a break from my workbench and I’m working on Deception Raceways. Not quite sure where in the process I will be come camera time , but I definitely know I won’t be done! The project at hand is Turn one , which now is at the end of a 20’ straightaway that just happens to have a downhill slope. So needless to say I need some safety equipment in place so my cars don’t fly off to the floor of DOOM 😂….

So question? Can you bend and manipulate a curve track? I saw where you did a straight but didn’t know about doing a curve. My idea is a winding road in the mountains and was trying to figure out the start and finish. Thanks Boone love the channel and look forward to your website

Thanks buddy, yes you can bend curved track. But it’s a bit more tricky. Curved track isn’t very long, so you need to pay attention to the amount of bend you are creating. If you bend it too much the car will have issues making contact with the rails. So the bends you create need to be very slight. Plus where the tracks connect, this area needs to be in perfect alignment with the other piece of track. I do have a few corners where I have bent the track. It’s works great 👍, and it gives a completely new level to the technical difficulty of the layout…
