Making the Greatest Scalextric Track Ever!

- With the world being grounded to a halt and outside basically off limits, JJ decides to kill time by creating what is, arguably, the greatest Scalextric track he's ever made!
The track is based of off F1 corners and straights from around the world and goes a bit like this:
Pit Straight- Fuji
Turn 1 and 2- Hungary
Kemmel Straight
Turn 3- Turn 8 Istanbul Park
Wellington Straight
Turn 4- Brooklands
Turn 5- Luffield
Turn 6- Old Pit Straight
Turn 7, 8, 9, 10, 11- Esses and Dunlop, Suzuka
Turn 12- Canada Hairpin
Turn 13, 14- Wall of Champions Chicane
Turn 15, 16, 17- Ascari
Turn 18- Parabolica
Very sad to report that the Greatest Scalextric Track to have ever been made has today, been packed away.
Almost a year ago making this thing made lockdown seem manageable, and despite never being able to properly run it, this remains my favourite track I’ve ever made.
Maybe one day it will return, but on this particular bombshell, it’s time to say goodbye.
Awesome track JJ love this! I mean this is certainly something very positive to come out of the Corona break! I assume maybe a race video to be filmed with it?

Cheers lads, very happy to have hit 100, looks like the karting stuff is our definitive niche, can't wait for it to get going again!
There's a plan in place for a follow up video, as for the Scalextric the thing doesn't actually work and would require a bit of investment, although I'm certainly thinking about it now!

That is a great layout...I like this style of track - but yes....come on man...lets see the cars going round!!! 👍🏻I also got my 12 year old sport set up out for lockdown...Im running a track which I also designed on paper...its long and fairly narrow - it has a good right hand increasing radius 180 section with a 90deg R2 into a 90degR3 onto a 16 x straight...the cars sing..its cool. Id love to have as many borders n barriers though mate.......crikey!
I was actually thinking of packing it away soon, but the amount of comments still asking to see it run, might have to change my mind on that! I want as many barriers and buildings as possible for mine, the problem at the end of the day though is always £££, will have to spend about £100 just to get the thing running
